Chapter 6

Haley just kept quiet while crying.

She can't afford to lose Khazar, she wants to be with him no matter what.

After a while, they passed at the edge of the desert and the road was rocky. His father's pace was slow. Haley had been looking to the door of the van all the time. And when she sees the timing, she suddenly opened it and jumped out.

Everyone was shocked at what Haley had done.

"James stops the van!" Lucy shouted.

When Haley hit the ground, she was rolling in the sand. She forced to stand up, and ran away even her leg was struggling. She ran as fast as she could, trying to go back to the castle house. In the meantime ... it took a moment when James learned that Haley had jumped, he immediately stopped the van. Kyle and James got off, they saw Haley running back to the castle house, they chase after her.

"Haley come back here!" James gasped as he run.

But Haley was too far enough.

"Let her go! We don't have much time! We need to get out of here!" Eleanor called out as she looked out from the windshield.

"I can't let my daughter to left behind!" James voiced was tight, his eyes confused, he continued to chase Haley.

But shortly after, they saw an Anubis emerge, then there, they stopped pursuing Haley. "Dad! What we do?" Kyle questioned worriedly.

"But, you're sister? She's in danger, we need to rescue her!" James said confusedly.

"James! We need to go, the Anubis is approaching! We all die!" Allen shouted. All of them were scared and begging James to come back and to start the van. When they saw the Anubis approaching them, James and Kyle retreated and quickly returned to the van and James helplessly drives it.

"Oh! Haley!" Lucy cried.

Meanwhile ... as Haley was on her way to the castle house, she suddenly encounters Anubis, Haley was trapped and thought that is her end. But suddenly, Khazar arrives and beheads the Anubis. Haley was relieved when she saw him, they embraced each other arms. "Why did you come back here? It's dangerous!"

Before Haley speak up, there was another flash of Anubis approaching. And Khazar couldn't help but bravely fought back. And until he killed them, and when the last Anubis was killed, Khazar fell to the ground in exhaustion.

"Khazar!" Haley cried, and then she hugged him.

"Why did you come back? You need to go right now! They are more Haley, leave me here, you must go!"

"I will not leave you, no matter what! Let's get out of here!"

"We have no time Haley, when the sun will rise, more Anubis will arrive! Countless!"

Haley looked up into the sky it still dark. The sun was not yet up. "Come! We still have time," she said urgently.

Khazar tried to get up, and they walked away arm in arm, the surrounding was dark. The glow from the moon serves their light.

They walked at the desert.

The two were feeling very tired, and they were sitting on the ground.

"The sun will rise soon! Oh! Haley!" Khazar gasped desperately.

"What happens when the sun rises?"

"The Anubis that you saw are just a few, more are coming, they can't be counted! We need to surpass the desert, but we don't have much time!"

After a while, the sun was gradually rising, he looked around, and he heard a loud noise coming from beneath the ground, he held Haley's shoulder.

"Whatever will happen to us, I love you so much!" Khazar sadly said.

"I love you too Oh Khazar!" Haley said so desperately then they wrapped each other arms.

Suddenly the sun came up, and they start to hear a roaring noise, the power of the golden plate was stronger in the sun, it unleashes countless Anubis.

"What's that noise?" Haley asked while she heard the noises that seemed to be the footsteps of so many horses running towards them. "As I told you, more are coming!" He desperately said. Haley was terrified, and they stand up and look in the distance. Khazar hold her tightly.

"I will fight until my last strength!" He said then he let off his hand to Haley and grabbed his sphere. Haley felt desperate.

From there, they saw in the far distance the countless Anubis arriving. Haley felt very scared and hopelessly. The surrounding was thundering with the loud noise of the Anubis' footsteps, approaching them. "Khazar!" Haley murmured losing her hope.

Innumerable armies of Anubis were coming from afar, and Khazar suddenly dropped his sphere down the ground, thought he could no longer fight. They were just waiting for the dreaded Anubis to conquer them. Khazar once again hugged Haley tightly…."I'm so sorry my love, I can't save you anymore!" he said desperately, they hopelessly closed their eyes as countless Anubis we're approaching.

While they hugged each other, Khazar suddenly murmured. "If only I have the amulet pendant," he whispered inside him.

Haley prayed inside her, with her eyes closed, and in the unlikely event. Khazar was pierced by Haley's pendant, when he felt it, he suddenly looked at Haley's blouse, and he noticed that Haley was wearing a necklace inside, but covering by her blouse. He urgently opened the first button of her blouse. Haley just glared to Khazar and wondering what is he doing. And to his great surprised, he saw Haley's amulet pendant.

"Haley! I can't believe it!"

"What do you mean?"

"This is the amulet pendant!" Khazar said in astonishment.

Haley thought it was just a toy and he might have just mistaken it. But as he said, she immediately took off her necklace and gave it to him.

When Khazar took hold the pendant, he wears it and rubbed the engraved symbol with his finger and make a quick ritual, then he uttered the mysterious word.

"Aaldhahab baeidaan waleawdat 'iilaa makanik!" Khazar softly uttered while rubbing the amulet pendant.

But the Anubis are still constantly coming. Haley thought that he may have just mistakenly believed it was real. Haley knew in the first place that it was just a toy. Haley felt hopeless and lose her hope. "Khazar, I'm so sorry, that is not real!" Haley said in despair.

But Khazar continued uttered the mysterious word over and over again.

"Aldhahab baeidaan waleawdat 'iilaa makanik, Aldhahab baeidaan waleawdat 'iilaa makanik!" He uttered simultaneously.

Suddenly, Abayomi's ritual abruptly stopped.

She was confused, she wonders why she can't concentrate, she kept on repeating to do the ritual but it doesn't work anymore.

Khazar continues to say the magic word while holding the Amulet pendant. But the countless army of the Anubis was still constantly approaching. "Khazar!" Haley screamed as she saw the Anubis was coming near. He didn't stop uttering the magic word, until suddenly, in an instance the Anubis were absorbed by the underground. Haley was amazed at what she had witnessed. They felt relieved.

When the Anubis disappeared, they embraced each other arms.

"We are safe!" Khazar exclaimed. "What happened, where are they?" Haley asked in disbelief. "Because of this pendant, they went back to the underworld!"

"R-really? This is unbelievable!" Haley sighed.

"I can't believe that you were keeping it!" He exclaimed, and he gave it back to Haley, and they kissed each other.

Abayomi was so angry when the golden plate was not working anymore, and she is wondering why. "Why is this happening? Why is this happening?" Abayomi said like she is going insane.

In the meanwhile, Haley's families were still on the road, they're safe, but all of them were still in shocked. "James, how about Haley?" Lucy cried. Everyone was silent as they all wondered what had happened. James was speechless and feels sorrowful while driving. When they got to the city, they called Banjo's agency.

Haley and Khazar returned to the castle house. He wants to retrieve the golden plate from Abayomi, and on their return, they saw Abayomi standing in front of the castle house holding a sphere, and she looks very angry. Her eyes are furiously glaring at them.

"Khazar you betrayed me!"

When Abayomi saw Haley, she suddenly threw the sphere and aimed it to Haley's chest. But Khazar suddenly blocked his body with Haley, and he was pierced by the sphere. It happened so fast. Khazar fell down on the ground.

After a while, Abayomi glared at Haley and she took a knife inside her clothes, then she attacked her, but Haley fought back. The two were scrambled on the knife.

Khazar was slightly conscious and saw that the knife was forming straight to Haley's face. Khazar worried that Abayomi was going to kill her, he pulled out the sphere that had pierced his chest, and forcibly threw it and aimed it at Abayomi's back. Suddenly she fell together with Haley on the ground.

Haley lifted Abayomi's lifeless body, pinned in her. She pushed it away and immediately approached the weakened Khazar. "Khazar, don't leave me!" Haley cried as Khazar's head was in her lap. And it is slowly losing its life.

"Khazar, don't leave me!"

Shortly thereafter, a car arrived, aboard the tourist guide Banjo. He is about to pick up the family back to the city, he got off the car and was shocked by what he saw.

"What happened here?"

"Let's bring him to the hospital!" Haley exclaimed.

Banjo approached Khazar and examined him ... and found out he was dead.

Then he entered the castle house and saw dead servants lying on the floor. There's no traced of Anubis. He immediately called the agency

Banjo asked Haley to come with him to the city. But Haley can't stand to leave Khazar. She doesn't want to believe that he is dead.

"Let's go now Ms. Robertson, the guy is dead. The agency told me to take you to your family, they are there already and worrying about you for sure, come on, the owner of the castle house will be here soon, they want us to go before they come here, and they will take

care of everything!" Banjo said then he grab Haley's arm to stand up, but Haley refuses to move. Banjo insists her to go with him. "He is gone!" He said as he dragged Haley to his car. Haley couldn't help but to go with Banjo, as she was walking away from Khazar, Haley was crying as she looked back at Khazar's lifeless body.

When, the car was traveling.

Banjo asks her what had happened but Haley can't speak but to cry.

Haley suddenly collapsed in exhaustion.

Haley just woke up as she was lying in bed in a hospital room.

"Haley sweetie, how's your feeling? I'm so thankful you are alive and well! I'm so much worried about you!" Her mother Lucy said. But Haley was still in shocked, and she can't say anything.
