Chapter 19 – Ender's and Scarlet’s Misunderstandings

The following days Scarlet tried to treat Ender like a servant but misunderstanding kept cropping up causing Ender to treated more like slave as they proceeded north.

One situation occurred when Scarlet desired an fruit that was not as easily found in a local village the procession passed by. In return Ender was forced to run around the village looking for said fruit. When word got out the people that had the fruit asked for a sky high price. Ender had to ask the men of the procession for money saying that this was for the young miss.

Another misunderstanding was that the group decided to eat at a field. Scarlet's chair had broke the day before due to a bump. The men around the jeered say that since the young miss had a slave he should be her chair. Not being able to change her façade Ender was forced to become the chair for young miss scarlet.

A different situation was that Scarlet decided to look at the scene on top of her carriage and asked Ender to come up. However Sarah called her inside to talk about some matters right after. Scarlet told Ender to wait on top of the carriage until she returned or said otherwise. Scarlet forgot that Ender was on top and procession continued. It was not until Sarah stepped out that she reminded Scarlet of Ender.

The one that almost mad Ender explode was when Scarlet wanted to test the sword that Ender had proclaimed he made back in his village. Asking for her soldiers to test the sword, the soldiers thought that the young miss wanted a way to break Ender's sword with a reason. Without cladding the sword, when the swords collided Ender's black sword was once more shattered to pieces. The men cheered, Scarlet was stupefied, while Ender was devastated.

Internally Scarlet agonizing for the pass couple days due to the misunderstandings. No matter how the process was Scarlet trying to understand Ender and get close but all he attempts actually made them further then ever. Her family forced her to seem one way but she was constantly lonely and wanting to make a friend that was around her that did not change due to noble status. Currently Ender fit the bill if barely.

Ender showed his portray of discontent directly on his face on all of Scarlet's 'bullying'. Ender did have a large periods of times that was not with Scarlet allowing him to practice secretly. Ender did not use all his abilities Ender focused on using gravity on himself, wind focusing on trying to remove the air in certain areas to create voids, and darkness in the night. All of this was unnoticed due to few people caring about the new monkey that was picked up by the young miss. Ender was able to take care of Millie in the evening ensuring she was okay. As promised Scarlet declared that Millie would be considered as equivalent to Sarah during the trip allowing for Millie to be well treated in the least.

Scarlet was currently inside her carriage pouting and complaining to Sarah. "Sarah all my plans of trying to get closer with Ender has failed so far. Is there anyway to fix this?"

Sarah was covering her mouth from stopping herself from laughing, "Scarlet have you thought of trying to directly ask Ender about himself?"

Scarlet opened and closed her mouth a couple times before replying, "I have tried to ask but each time something came or some kind of misunderstanding."

Sarah advised at the moment, "Why don't you call Ender over to talk while the procession is going. Less guards would be around and can leave to guard outside. Just ask him you want to get to know him."

Scarlet thought about the suggestion before deciding that there was merit and room for little error. During the travel on the following day Scarlet called Ender over to chat. Sarah left on cue to give them privacy.

Silence prevailed inside the carriage for some time. "Scarlet is there a reason why you called me over?" Ender decided to ask.

Scarlet nodded, "Ender I would like to know you better. I would like you to be bare with me."

Ender was god-smacked by what he just heard. Ender asked, "Scarlet do you know what that means?"

Scarlet not understanding the new misunderstanding her words created nodded before saying, "Of course. I want you to be bare before me. I shall do the same right afterwards."

Ender thought the world was upside down for a moment. Ender asking once more said, "Are you sure this is what you want? I am just a temporary slave you know?" Ender had heard and read that nobles had some outlandish fetishes but to be in front one person…

Scarlet just nodded, "Absolutely it has to be you. No one else will do. Just be bare with me now."

Ender felt like he was cornered in that he had to do what Scarlet asked. His mother was still in the procession. She was now able to walk around when she felt like it but effectively the two were surrounded.

Ender deciding that he had no other choice stood up inside the and took off his shirt. Scarlet was dazed as Ender took his shirt and only reacted as Ender was reaching for his pants. "What are you doing?" Half hysterical Scarlet asked.

Ender replied, "I am doing what you asked. You told me to be bare with you."

Scarlet seeing where she went wrong tried to stop Ender. Standing up Scarlet tried to stop Ender. However at the moment a large bump was felt from the carriage and the two topple over. Scarlet screamed before laying on top of Ender.

Outside the carriage the sun shining gently with clouds covering once in while.

Sarah who was standing outside the carriage was musing to herself, "I hope the young miss is able to make friends with that boy Ender."

From behind Millie was slowly approaching towards the carriage. "Umm, your name is Sarah correct? Is young miss Scarlet inside? I wish to thank her for taking care of us so far."

Sarah answered Millie while smiling, "Indeed the young miss is inside but she wished to talk with the boy Ender privately for a while."

"Ahh, okay. Would you mind telling me what they would be talking about if you can?" Millie inquired.

Sarah answered, "The young miss wishes to get to know Ender and his past."

At this moment the carriage jumped up because of a rock and Scarlet's scream could heard. Worried Sarah went to open the carriage and Millie followed right behind. What they found was something that left them stunned. Ender was half dress on the floor while flustered Scarlet was laying on top of him.

Scarlet looked up at this moment to see the two women outside. Scarlet tried to explain, "This isn't what you think…"

Sarah interject at the moment with a laughing devilish smile, "My apologies young miss for interrupting." Closing the door Sarah pulled Millie aside.

Millie was in a daze muttering to herself, "I will have to have that talk earlier than expected. I always thought it would be Alice but who knew that Scarlet was his preference."

Sarah laughed to herself not trying to clear the misunderstanding that just occurred. "This will be great material. Fufufufu"
