Revenge Phase "The Result"

After Brian was taken to a hospital, Ray and Nadia were taken to the principal's office.

It is safe to say that Nadia and Brian were going to be expelled, but not Ray. Although he did get a suspension for one week because he beat up Brian in school, Ray thought that it did not matter whether he was suspended or expelled.

Even if he did get expelled, Ray still has his cafe and more importantly, he still has Artoria and Hana.

With his one week suspension, he decided that it will be a great idea if he learns hacking... to make his revenge have a long-lasting effect.

Ray did not have to hack anything though, because it will be nearly impossible for Brian and Nadia to search for a company that will recruit them with their sex tapes now online and everywhere.

There was a saying that anything posted on the internet stays on the internet.

With everything said and done, Ray and Nadia were told to pack up their backpack and get out of the school premises.

When he entered his classroom, everyone clapped their hands. They seemed to enjoy the violence and drama earlier. Some felt sorry for Ray and tried to make him feel better, which was not needed but Ray thank them anyway.

The teacher, on the other hand, did not like Ray's presence at the moment. But he will despise Nadia and Brian's existence for bringing their school name to the mud.

After he was done packing up, Ray left the school. He did not get surprised that Artoria was waiting patiently right next to the school gate. Ray also did not get surprised by the fact that the security guy tried to flirt with his teacher, which failed miserably.

"Thank you for waiting for me, Artoria," Ray said.

"It is okay, Ray. So, where are we going right now?"

"Hmmm, I think going to the-" before Ray can complete his sentence, his phone rang.

The caller was a number that he did not recognize. Without a single breath, he picked up the call.

"Who is this?"

[WHAT THE FUCK DID YOU DO TO MY SON?!] Ray recognize this voice, it was Brian's father.

"Ah, hello to you too." Unfortunately, Ray forgot the name of Brian's father.

(A/N: More like I don't have an inspiration to think of Brian parents' name)

[YOU FUCKER! WHEN I GET MY HANDS ON YOU?! ] Brian's father still screamed on the phone.

Well, he was a strict father. When he got the call that Brian was in ICU, it shocked him. Because he was on the way back to his house to gather some more additional clothes before going back again, he did not have any choice but to went to the hospital.

Surprisingly, Brian's father was not that far from the hospital. That was why he got to the hospital quite quickly.

When he saw the injuries that his son needed to endure, his heart was broken. One of the teachers was there waiting for him, so he got the gist of what happened immediately after he got there.

Even though his son dared to instigate an illicit relationship with someone's girlfriend, and that girlfriend was Ray's, he was mad towards Brian. But he cannot let Ray go unscathed because the injuries were severe more than he dared to imagine.

After a look from the doctor immediately after Brian was admitted to the hospital, there was an internal injury on his brain which made him into a comatose state and his cheekbone destroyed.

So after going out of the ICU, bringing Brian's phone with him, he called Ray with his smartphone.

"You what? It is your son's fault. Do you not know what he had done?"

[WHAT HE HAD DONE DOES NOT DESERVE HIM TO BE IN A COMA?!]

"So what? I have endured the pain of knowing Brian's illicit relationship with Nadia for too long. If you dare, then you can come to me. Let see what you will do then." Ray was referring to his past life where he did not recover from the betrayal.

[YOU BI-] Ray closed the call as soon as Brian's father said another insult.

Ray knew that because of him, Brian was in a comatose. But, he also knew that Brian will come out from his comatose state... eventually.

If Brian went comatose for an indefinite time, it means that Brian got lucky.

Ray wanted him to suffer for the rest of his life. The harder his life gets, the more fulfillment Ray will have.

"Sorry about that, Artoria. Let's get going." Ray said.

As he started to walk, there was a scream from behind him.

"WAIT!" Nadia screamed.

Ray turned back and saw Nadia's still drawing tears from her eyes. If it was Ray in the past, he will immediately hug her.

But he had enough of Nadia now. No amount of explanations can save her from the life-long torment that will devour her soon.

"What?" Ray said with a voice lack of emotion.

The sudden change of Ray's voice shuddered Nadia. It was as if she had no place in his heart anymore.

"I'm sorry. I know that I brought this to myself. To tell you the truth, I liked Brian long before that time where you protected me. The reason for our relationship was because I was scared. I was scared that you will become violent to me as well. Brian was there to tell me that you won't become like that. But he comforted me in such a way that I felt safer being near him than you. But now, I realized he was just tricking me into this relationship..." Nadia said as she was sobbing and continued,

"Can we... can we just let go of the past? I still love you, Ray."

Ray looked dumbfounded by what he just heard that he unconsciously said, "Ha?"

It was a dumb explanation so that she can get back with Ray again. But, it was an explanation came deep from her heart.

(A/N: Please don't quote me on that. I don't know the workings of a woman's heart.)

Nadia wished that she can be with Ray once more. She knew that he never did any wrong with her. It was her brain and being manipulated by Brian that made her assume things.

But you cannot take back what you have done in the past.

"I'm not a man that can be fooled more than once. Besides, even if I want to get back with you, which I will not do as long as I still draw breath, there is a big chance that you will do all of this shit again. So, this is where we parted ways. Good luck with your life though..."

'And I hope you will have a miserable life.' Ray added in his thought.

Ray then continued walking followed by Artoria, leaving a weeping Nadia in front of the gate.

'Oh, how sweet revenge can be.' Ray thought as he smiled. He finally got the justice that he had desired for many years.

Although there were still things that he needed to do to pour honey over his already sweet revenge, it can only be done when Brian and Nadia officially expelled.

Now, with a perfectly happy mood, he went to the cafe to oversee the reconstruction.

But on the way to the cafe, a car stopped near them.

A man and woman walked out of the car. It was Nadia's parents, Indra and Ratu.

They were on the way to take Nadia home after being called by the principal. The principal explained the situation and told them to get Nadia.

They were on their way back from having their 'honeymoon'. Although they were supposed to be away from their home for the week, Ratu had a bad premonition.

So that was why when they got the call, they were already near their home.

After the call, the only sound from inside the car was Ratu sobbing. She felt disappointed and ashamed at what Nadia had done, especially towards the boy that she thought will be in their family.

Indra, on the other hand, was furious. Not towards Nadia, but to Brian. He had destroyed the beautiful family that he has cultivated since Ratu and his marriage. Although, he also felt disappointed with his beloved daughter as well.

So, when they saw Ray and the other woman that they saw a day earlier, Ratu told Indra to stop.

She felt guilty of what Nadia had done and she wanted to apologize for Nadia's behavior and probably make them together again.

Truth be told, both Ratu and Indra thought of Ray as the son they never have. Because of complications years earlier, Ratu cannot get pregnant anymore. So seeing Ray loving Nadia to a point where Ratu was jealous, they wanted to see their grandson between that will be born between Nadia and Ray's love.

Sadly, what they will see is a child born from an illicit relationship.

Ratu and Indra approached the duo and said, "we're sorry."

Ray looked to them and said, "Ah, it's okay. Our relationship probably was never meant to be anyway."

"It is our fault that we didn't raise Nadia to be a better woman. I hope you have it in your heart to forgive her." Ratu said.

"...For that, I'm sorry, mam. I can't forgive Nadia, at least for now. Probably I will in the future."

"It's okay if you did not forgive her. If I was in your shoes, I would do the same. Although, I was hoping to see the future between you and Nadia. I guess that will never come to life..." Indra said as he felt sad telling Ray- telling himself the truth.

"Well, we may or may not cross paths again. So, this is goodbye. Thank you for everything until now, aunt and uncle." Ray said as he continued his walk.

Artoria bowed her head a little bit before following Ray.

Although he got his sweet revenge, there is one regret that he has. That is hurting Nadia's parents.

Truth be told, Ray felt very comfortable with her parents. They were the parents that he never has. His biological father and mother did not give him the love that he deserved.

Ray was the first child in his family, but it is as if his existence was replaced when his brother and sister came into the world. But Ray did not hate his family, but he did not love them as well.

After his 'fiasco' of protecting Nadia, he was kicked out of the house. Although, his parents gave him money enough to live sparingly for 1 month.

The lack of familial love in Ray's life also one of the reasons that drove him to kill himself in his past life.

His only hope was that Nadia's family can recover. But he did not give any thought for Brian's parents though.

"So, how was your vendetta?" Artoria asked.

"It was quite sweet and fulfilling. I did dream of vengeance in the past, so when I was given the opportunity, I took it."

"Well, that's good."

Ray looked at Artoria. He recalled that Artoria never blames her citizens for the fall of her country.

Even though she and the knights of her round table worked so hard to repel invasions after invasions, some of her people take it for granted.

Although it was not that long after her supposed death by the hands of her daughter, Mordred, she did not seem to have any motivation for revenge.

In fact, she hoped to went back in time before she pulled Caliburn from the stone and let other people did it instead of her.

Ray can still see some glimpse of that wish of hers. He wanted to confirm it with Artoria herself.

If she still wanted that wish to come true, then he will not hesitate to help her. Artoria has helped him come very far with his strength, so it is a given for a student to help his teacher.

Especially when the student wanted to romance the said teacher.

I can proudly say that revenge 'arc' is done. There will be some more snippets here and there to make Brian and Nadia's life even more miserable, but that's for later.

After this is where he will kind of divided his focus between the restaurant and dungeon. But mostly dungeon though...
