The Coffin

As soon as Craige opened the door, my mind was filled with doubt.

'No way.' I entered the large room and looked around with a controlled frown on my face. 'It can't be his room, right?'

"This is my room." He said as if reading my thoughts before he closed the door behind him.

"This is not a room, Craige." No matter how much I tried to look from left to right and vice versa, nothing changed in the empty space in front of me. "This is just a bedspace."

There was nothing inside this large space, aside from the bed, the study table, and the wardrobe.

'I feel like a lion will come out of that wardrobe… why is this place so empty?'

The room was way too big and way too empty, yet it gave me a suffocating sensation. And Craige said the word that I had in mind which made me turn back to him.

"It's my personal coffin. As Mom liked to call it." His voice sounded strained as he walked towards the window and opened the heavy curtains.
