Alone

"It's okay. You're okay now."

That's what he said. And his soothing voice calmed down the panic that was driving me crazy. It wasn't until I woke up that I remembered who that person was and why I easily trusted his words.

But when I woke up, he was nowhere to be found and I was alone in a strange room that looked familiar even though I was sure that I've never been here before. The beddings that I woke up in was elevated from the floor and looked like it had more than ten layers to it.

"If I had been abducted, this is a very curious way of treating their captives."

It was not only the bed. Everything in this room was peculiar but in an astonishing way, from the intricately carved stool beside the beddings to the huge mahogany wardrobe that could probably fit five people inside. I've never seen anything like it even in the palace. And the big table with the huge and crystal clear mirror was extraordinarily fascinating.

"This must cost a fortune."
