Chapter 8: The unlucky Shi Fan

Shi Fan shuddered the moment he saw the other party's title. Just the "Respected Godsent" title alone is enough for him to kneel to this person but this person is also an Emperor! Especially that it has been known that NPC Emperors are far more powerful than adventurer Emperors to avoid the monopolization in many important parts of the game. They only take action when Calamity-class events happens.

Despite concealing his aura Shi Fan and Quan Shi can still feel the pressure emanated by an Emperor. They felt an ant in front of this existence. No, scratch that, they felt that they are a mere speck of dust.

"Magnanimity? You left this place for hundreds of years without reason nor telling your brothers where will you go yet you have the nerve to ask for that?, the last time we heard about you is that you were captured?" Emperor Hashmir said reprimanding the plume of fire when he also noticed Shi Fan's presence. "Quan Shi, who is this Spiritwalker. You know full well that those from the higher-ups don't allow beings of lower entities here? Do you want to die forever? Hah"

"Aiya old man you can see that I cannot go to this place without this kiddo you know. There are some fools out there that thirst our power. Of course, I have to run from their chase in the process I shredded my power bit by bit to avoid their detection." Quan Shi answered Hashmir honestly. Despite his anger because of his past "exploits", he knew that Hashmir despite his cold attitude is a very kind person.

"No wonder I just detected your power. Even the Stone of Pure Power you left here thousand of years ago is not enough to recover your true body. Just enough for you to become a ball of fire," Hashmir chuckled while scanning Shi Fan's body.

"I already told you, gramps, that this fool would return. Now I won that bet. Come give me what I asked " Maldevir voice coming from behind upon remembering something.

"Bet? What bet? I seem to forget that we made a bet to each other eh?" Hashmir acted as if forgetting something.

"Aishh ,you old fool, with age comes memory loss, I don't care anymore" knowing that he can't possibly be persuaded after speaking Maldevir teleported somewhere. Leaving the three of them outside the falls.

"Now then. What do you plan to do Quan Shi? You can't possibly fight your captors with that meager power you have." Hashmir asked Quan Shi. "Are they that powerful?"

"Don't worry old geezer. The moment they noticed me I have already returned to my peak state," Quan Shi reassured him while also pointing out to Shi Fan. "Plus I'll train this lad well. He might be young but he can be trusted,"

"It's your choice, not mine. Also, destiny will tell. The Grand Continent is vast and who knows how many Emperors you'll encounter, be careful someone might tear your meager soul apart." Hashmir warned Quan Shi and he looked at Shi Fan. "Hey, young lad. Follow the instructions of this fool always. He might be stupid but he still knows everything about the Grand Continent. With his help you might have the potential to become one of the strongest individuals out there.

Hearing this Shi Fan couldn't help but smile and be problematic at the same time. After all, he came to this game to make money not to become a servant to a ball of fire. "Well at least becoming a strong individual is also his good so it won't be bad," he said to himself.

"Well, then gramps I'll be loaning Uncle's sword to him for a while. As well as I'm giving him the Rainbow Flower that I cultivated back then. Hey gramps, One last favor can you teleport us out of here hehe? My power is still not stabilized or else we might wait a week before we can get out"

Quan Shi said happily

"That uncle of yours has so many swords in his arsenal he won't even notice that one of his fine made swords missing let alone that broken one but still it is powerful to be coveted by others. Then be careful on your journey. This will the last time I'm doing this" Hashmir said. He then began chanting a spell.

"Rank 7: Return Teleport!"

The duo then transformed into pillars light and vanished from the Ryuusuji Falls.

Maldevir appeared again as he slowly walked towards Emperor Hashmir, "Are his captors that powerful? why didn't he bother to tell you who they were?"

"Even the once strong Emperor Quan Shi had to run very fast, It's only because he wanted the kid to learn the truth that is why he kept quiet about it." Hashmir softly smiled and vanished into thin air.
