Chapter 10: Onwards!

"Impossible! He's just Level 27 he doesn't have the power to deflect it let alone easily survive after being hit Ranked 2 Weapon skills!" one of the hooded figures spoke grievously.

"So levels are the basis of strength now? How embarrassing." Lil Fire scoffed. "Weaklings,"

"Incredible. I have already seen so many experts at his rank but this kid is surely a little different." the tallest guy among them muttered as he slowly slid into the dark shadows of the tall tree.

One of the sword users lunged towards Shi Fan executing a Pierce-type skill. However, before he was able to get close his target Shi Fan already disappeared.

"Watch out! Beside you!" the stout figure immediately warned him. He immediately dashed out to help one of his teammates.

However, his warning came too late as Shi Fan already appeared on the right side. As the lunge animation was still in effect Shi Fan took advantage of this and slashed downwards. The attacker calculating that he will survive the attack didn't bother to activate a shield kill as Shi Fan's level is too low. However, his calculations failed him and the next moment his vision turned black when he saw his over 19000 HP bar at 0. The stout figure stopped on his tracks and retreated a step,

-23932!!!

The three exclamation symbol above the player's head indicated a critical strike.

"It seems we have underestimated this guy too much, Kill him! " the tallest guy from the shadows spoke. The danger emitted by Shi Fan as well as the sword he is holding is truly immense if they just attacked him one by one. Seeing their two of their teammates died miserably just like that they didn't have another choice but to immediately rushed into the fray. Just the current stats of Shi Fan is able to contend the rank and level gap of the people in front of him.

"This sword is too overpowered." Shi Fan exclaimed in astonishment. The hilt felt very cold and imposing to the touch and the broken cracks like erratic cobwebs that spread among the dark-colored blade which radiate death aura could somewhat stop others in their tracks.

"That sword is the weakest among my uncle's arsenal, he just casually gave it to me before and who would have expected it would be very useful now." Lil Fire pridefully said.

Lil Fire's words actually made Shi Fan's heart skip a beat. He remembered that the one who gave this sword to him is the System, not Lil Fire. That means this guy actually hade the power to manipulate the Protocol Code which from its inception until now had never been hacked nor changed.

The program which managed the game and all other aspects of life in the real world is called the Finale System or in shorter terms the System. The Finale System follows the Protocol Code as it's basis command, and there is only one reported person allowed to manipulate it and is known as the most powerful human in the Three Universe.

"Could this plume of fire be that person?," Shi Fan thought to himself. "No, that's impossible he's banned from playing the game."

His curiosity about this Lil Fire or Quan Shi grew even stronger. Shi Fan temporarily stopped thinking about, curiosity killed the cat after all. He directed his gaze at the shining pieces of equipment dropped by the two figures he killed.

Seeing 4 pieces of equipment at the ground elated Shi Fan. After all, these pieces of Equipment are compressed Credits. He began inspecting them and to his astonishment, one of them is rare equipment.

"For you to casually pick up and inspect while fighting how brazen could you be?" A figure from behind sneaked on Shi Fan while brandishing a dagger dripping with poison. "If you don't die in this strike you'll still be weakened!"

Rank 2: Backstab!

As he was about to hit Shi Fan's back the sound of metal clanging could be heard. Shi Fan just blocked the dagger with the Sword of Uograzi without looking.

"Why do you always shout every single time you sneak attack, doesn't that defeat the purpose?" Shi Fan scoffed as he turned backward the pressure emitted by the sword intensified.

"You can't kill me!, I'm.." Without finishing the tall man's words Shi Fan slashed downwards his sword killing him instantly. Without the prowess of the leader, the other surviving members scrambled for survival. They still have a mission to do, if they died it'll be catastrophic. Shi Fan didn't give them a single hint of mercy as he struck down the other members one by one leaving just him in the Savanir Mountains.

Shi Fan picked up the other items and headed below as he gazed at the rare boots in his hands. He could possibly sell this item at the Virtual Market for 70,000 Credits which is equal to 10 months of white-collar worker salary in a medium-size company. If this is still in the early stages of the game it'll be more expensive.

"Let's return to the nearest town first" Shi Fan opening up his inventory pulled up a blue colored stone similar to the item given to him by the young lady back then except the blue light is much dimmer.
