Chapter 38: Red haired lady

Shi Fan finally arrived at a boisterous marketplace just north of the Adventurer Association building. He began surveying the different merchandise that was displayed.

He noticed that most of the items on sale are dropped by water type monsters because most of the item's stats have water affinity attacks and defense.

He purchased some common goods like the Stone of Nesam and Rank 1 HP and MP potions which can restore 500 HP and MP for 10 seconds while out of combat.

When he is strolling around he arrived at the place where they sell different kinds of herbs although they are very common and are supplied by their own teams, many alchemists still wander around finding high-quality herbs.

As the most popular side job it is very common for adventurers to see merchants selling herbs rather than ores as herbs are easily found aboveground rather than the latter.

After having his fill on buying different items he decided to return to the front gates. However, he heard a ruckus in the place where the merchants sell herbs. Feeling intrigued he walk towards the ruckus.

"Come on young lady give us a discount for this."

"Why is your Sahara Flower so expensive?"

"Young lady I'll buy your high-quality Lily Flower if you give me a high discount."

Alchemist of different factions is currently surrounding a small stall manned by a petite lady however since the alchemist is quite taller than Shi Fan he couldn't see her face well.

"No! My herbs are already at it's lowest if I dropped it anymore I won't earn a profit." a cute voice came from the petite young lady. Although her mannerisms are almost ladylike her voice sounds like that of a 16-year-old.

"Oh ho? Your voice young lady is quite cute. Why won't I accompany you later when you pick herbs?" a sarcastic voice cane from a berserker that is sitting near the crowd. He stood up and stared angrily at the alchemists that are pestering the young lady

The alchemist looked at who just spoke and stared wide in shock.

"It's Red Leaf!" one of the buying alchemists ran upon seeing this berserker

"It really is him?"

The other alchemist retreated and gave way for the man. Shi Fan after noticing that from his position he can finally see the figure of the young lady.

"She's so tiny." Is Shi Fan's first impression of her. The girl's height is almost just at 4'11 in stature. Emperor Online based the heights of characters to the exact height of their players in real life. In other words, this lady is also 4'11 in real life. Her weapon a wooden staff proves she's likely a Spellcaster or a Cleric as it is only those two classes that use wooden staffs as weapons.

Shi Fan also noticed that her hair is quite fiery looking due to her hair color which is bright red compared to her attitude which is still bickering with the merchants. In terms of beauty, however, Shi Jieun is much more beautiful than her. As haggling is very common Shi Fan decided to just ignore it and left for the front gates.

"Wait." a familiar voice came from his subconscious. Shi Fan rolled his eyes and retreated to where the voice came from.

"What is is it? And where have you been all this time." Shi Fan is obviously talking to his partner Quan Shi which is missing ever since he logs on.

"I was sleeping." Quan Shi flatly replied. "Kid, that young lady, you better try to pull her to your side."

"Why would I do that?" Shi Fan looked in the distance of where the ruckus used to be thinking of what is now happening.

"It's a gut instinct. She will be useful to you in the future." Quan Shi sparked with excitement.

"That young lady. Her potential is almost comparable to Shi Fan it's scary." Quan Shi murmured to himself thinking back to when he first met Shi Fan back in the character creation room. He was awakened from his deep slumber after sensing a scary but good presence which led him to break the dimensional barriers to where he used to be.

Shi Fan is still thinking if he should follow his partner's orders or not. After all, he came here with Diyo and will teleport back when he returns until a tempting voice sounded from within him.

"I'll tell you the location of a secret treasure if you do what I ordered you." Quan Shi's tempting voice lured Shi Fan.

"Alright!" He walked towards the girl as if he's looking at a legendary treasure chest. However, his way is currently blocked by the tall man that interrupted the alchemists that are haggling before. "Excuse me."

Shi Fan began tapping the green-colored armor of the man. However, as it is too thick he couldn't even feel the vibration of his tap.

The tall man is still very busy looking at the cute lady in front of him that he didn't notice Shi Fan or what he is saying.

"Ahem excuse me." Shi Fan coughed angrily. However even after 15 seconds the other party still didn't notice him. His forehead showed popped veins in anger his right foot took a step back.

The other onlookers noticed Shi Fan's angriness and started looking at him. What questioned then is his actions of putting his right foot behind him by a step. What shocked them is what Shi Fan did next.

"I! SAID! EXCUSE! ME!" Shi Fan put power on both of his feet and kicked the right side of the guy in front of him. The kick whose amplified by Shi Fan's strength was so powerful the man actually flew passed three stalls.

The onlookers and the lady now in front of Shi Fan were shocked aghast on his actions. Quan Shi, however, laughed out loud.
