Lena woke up from the cold, and her stomach was growling from hunger. She looked around and noticed that she was actually on a bed. She sat up and saw that the room she was in was quite nice, with paintings hanging on the walls, a dresser, and various other things. There were a few open doors and one closed door. She could see that the rooms with open doors were a closet, a bathroom, and a hallway. The closed door had a window on it, which she was not at a good angle to see through, but she thought it must belong to a balcony of some sort.
She heard footsteps coming from the hallway, and looked over in that direction to see who was there. A person walked into her room and saw her. "You're awake!" She exclaimed, before running out of the room. Lena started after and wondered why the girl was acting so strange. Then she heard her stomach growl. She was really hungry.
A few moments passed where Lena just sat on the bed, unmoving, and staring at the door.
Finally she heard footsteps again, this time two sets, heading towards her room. The hallway door opened wider, and she saw two people walk in, the first was the girl she saw earlier, this time carrying a bowl of warm porridge, and the second was a man, and not an unfamiliar man, it was the man she overheard talking before she passed out. The man she heard laughing.
Seeing him, she became confused. What happened? Why was she brought to this place? She was completely unharmed. Why? She could not think of any answers. Only questions popped up, and each question only brought more questions.
"You're awake." The man said, with a bright smile on his face. A chill ran down Lena's spine. Why was he suddenly being nice? "Eat some porridge. You've been asleep for three days."
"Who are you?" Lena said, confused, then she looked around. "Where are we? Why am I here?"
The man smiled but did not answer. Instead he simply said, "you don't need to know. All you need to know is that you must stay here until you completely recover."
After he said this, he walked away, leaving Lena alone with the girl. Then she realized that she never had a proper view of his appearance, but his voice sounded strangely familiar.
