The House I

Lena glances back down the hallway again, this time looking less lost and more determined than before, and slowly stood back up. Her legs were trembling, and she had to hold the walk for help. She looked both ways, and seeing that the hallway seemed longer on the right side, she decided to start exploring on the left. She left her door open as a landmark.

Lena walked slowly down the hallway, looking curiously back and forth and at every corner of crevice. She decided that this time around she would not open any doors, so she just walked down the straight path.

As she walked by, she realized that one of the doors was open. As she approached she peeled her head in to look. At first glance she saw a bookshelf, so she walked in. Maybe she could find something in there.

She looked around and realized that this was a personal library. Bookshelves covered the walls, and they were completely filled with books. There were even many books littered across the floor and in piles, as there definitely were not enough bookshelves to hold them all.

Lena walked up to the bookshelves, curious to see what was on them, and pulled out a random book. She looked at the book's title: How to Win a Girl's Heart.

After seeing this, she immediately dropped the book, her mouth hung wide open from surprise. She quickly calmed down. That man does not seem like the type of person to read a book like this.

She heard a laugh come from the doorway, and turned to look, but she saw no one. I must be imagining things. I do that a lot recently.

She's picked the book back up and placed it back on the shelf, and continued looking at the books. Most of the books in the shelf seemed to be informative about some sort of skill. There were books on cooking, programming, business, and a bunch of other stuff. And that was only one bookshelf. There were many more to go. But she looked at one of the books with interest: programming. Maybe she could use it to find information on Tina.
