The letter read:
Dear Lena,
I'm at a resort right now, and it will be a few months before I see you again. Don't miss me, I'll be back soon. I'll make sure to get you a gift.
Your best friend,
James
After reading the letter, Lena smiled. "That's right, James always cared about me, even when we were both children."
Lens hugged the letter and turned around to face the bed. A stuffed bunny was on the pillows. Lena gave a warm smile to the bunny and gently scooped it into her arms.
This bunny was the very gift James gave her when he came back from the resort when they were seven.
To Lena, this bunny was physical proof that James loved her even then. It was obvious from the letter and the bunny that he was thinking about her when she was away.
The tears disappeared from her eyes and Lena calmed down. "Why should I worry? Not because he loves someone else but because he is deceived that he loves someone else..."
"In reality, he loves me and only me. I must show him this truth, before it is too late... before he falls for this deception."
