The next day, Lena decided to visit James. Now that they were on talking terms again, she was going to get as close to him as she could.
She did not fully believe that he had truly fallen in love with Tina. He was merely mesmerized, bewitched. Lena would save him; she would show him the truth that love is not what he believed.
His love for Tina was nonsensical, and Lena knew that she must prove that to him.
His nonsensical love for a stranger would not last long. It could not stand up against a thread of Lena's love for him that had been around for over a decade.
When Lena arrived at James's house after work, she walked past the butler without greeting him, mainly because she was still angry that he blocked her from entering before.
No one was allowed to prevent her from being with James, not even James himself!
Lena walked straight along the familiar route to James's study, and she knocked on the door before entering.
"Lena, why have you come?" James asked.
Lena smiled and walked over to his desk. "I came to visit you. Why else would I come?"
"There is no need to visit me so frequently."
Lena walked over to James and hugged him. "But I wanted to visit you, do I came. There's no reason to think any deeper about this."
However, as Lena said this, she felt uncertain. There was definitely an ulterior motive for her visit. She was trying to persuade James not to love Tina. But now, she was worried that he found out her goal.
