Chapter 7

Ye Xiu walked to the training room. Inside, there are 21 people currently facing their monitor, each doing their own thing. The members are still the same member as two years ago: Yu Wenzhou, Huang Shaotian, Zhou Zekai, Sun Xiang, Wang Jiexi, Xiao Shiqin, Li Xuan, Chu Yunxiu, Tang Hao, Zhang Xinjie, Zhang Jiale, Su Mucheng, Fang Rui.

But in addition to them, there are newer candidates as well, such as Excellent Era's Qiu Fei; Happy's Tang Rou and Qiao Yifan; Tiny Herb's Xu Bin and Gao Yingjie. Those were the newly added candidates this year. Samsara's Jiang Botao, 301 Degrees' Yang Cong, and Tyranny's Han Wenqing were added last year.

Some of the members could already be considered ancient if people take the age into account, especially Han Wenqing. When Ye Xiu first brought the problem of age to the committee, they said that it's all up to Ye Xiu on how to manage the roster, but they'd want some older generation to be in the training camp to help the newer generations.

Although Ye Xiu isn't particularly agreed with their way of thinking, he has no choice but to follow. He did, however, tell the members about the discussion.

And at that time he also told them, "I can't promise that all of you will be chosen in the main roster. As you can see, we've added other people for this training camp. All of you, right now, is only a candidate. Whether you'd be chosen or not, it depends on your performance in the training camp."

"Even your participation in the training camp depends on your performance in the pro league. So not only you need to do your best here, but you also need to do your best in the regular competition."

"And lastly, while I don't mind rivals in the pro league, I disagree with internal competition in the training camp. Here, you are a team. Whether you'd be chosen or not, you'd still be a team. Your attitude in the training camp will also be taken into account, whether you'd be chosen as part of the national team or not."

This speech, Ye Xiu has told them last year. This year, Ye Xiu repeated it because there are new candidates joining them. The speech is repeated in the same exact words, to the point that Huang Shaotian questioned it as soon as Ye Xiu stopped speaking.

"The hell, isn't this the same speech as last year?!"

"Yeah! I remember he said the exact same word, even the full stops and the commas are in the same position!" Zhang Jiale can't get behind when it's about hitting Ye Xiu with speech.

"Dang it, Old Ye, can't you be creative for once?!" Fang Rui also joined in. Zhou Zekai also nodded as he heard the other members speak up.

Ye Xiu looked at them gloomily. "I'm creative in my own field! But public speaking is not considered as one of mine!" And then he looked around and waved his hand as if shooing them out. "Now that you all have already heard the main point of this camp, the meeting is adjourned. Go back to your training."

Some members cursed in the background but they left the meeting room one by one. Su Mucheng and Tang Rou were the only ones left in the meeting room. Both girls chuckled as they saw Ye Xiu sighed helplessly.

"You can learn more about speech while you are here~ After all, you are a contracted leader, you'd be spending so many years leading the team. Think of that as training of sorts! Are you going to use the same speech for the next 10 years?" Su Mucheng asking happily.

Ye Xiu's mouth curved downward. He stared at the girls sullenly.

"No way, next time I'd record my speech and replay it every year. Save me all the time that I wasted to memorize the speech."
