Vincent stood beside Shinobu inside the airship as the crews brought the vessel closer into the landing port.
For the moment, he can rest assured as nothing will happen to his mother because the flow of time in Shinobu's earth and him are stopped when he's on a different world.
This is what he had concluded after Shinobu told him that he was away from her only for a few minutes, Vincent think that happen when he was wandering inside the abandoned school building aimlessly and Shinobu only felt her connection severed with him just for a few seconds on two occasions while he stayed in the homeworld for hours.
So, no matter how long he stays in Remnant, it's not going to affect the other worlds. He will return exactly on the same date, even the days and hours will stay the same.
Even though he had no idea what's the reason behind it, wondering about his supernatural's mechanism is kind of meaningless to him. So he put the matters behind him and focused his attention on the disturbtion in front of him.
The pair of siblings was making fuss again, but sometimes they would stop bickering and looking at Vincent and Shinobu from time to time, then whispering suspiciously.
Of course, all of it did not escape from Vincent's eyes. Somehow, he was able to tell when someone take even a single glance at him or Shinobu.
'As I thought... They must be interested in the cute loli beside me.' Vincent was amused at his thought, it was not only him who finds Shinobu to be very cute.
"Especially this soft and tender sweet bun..." Vincent pinched both of Shinobu cheeks playfully,
"Huf... Stof it, Vintcennnt... it's huft. Lemme go." Shinobu complained on behalf of her abused cheeks.
Somehow to her dismay, Vincent was developing an intense adoration for her cheeks since they arrived inside the airship and has been accosting her ever since.
That's how mofu-mofu was born.
"Oh no, I was distracted once again..." Vincent come out of his stupor, averted his attention away from Shinobu to prevent the urge for mofu-mofu to surface again.
Vincent didn't give much attention to the main casts of Remnant as he had much more important things to do.
He was more focused on scanning the line of buildings stretched along the city of Vale that they were coming into.
After a while, he spotted a nice looking hotel in the Commercial District, It would be a perfect place to take a rest while waiting for the night to come. He doesn't have the slightest intention to test how flammable his current body was.
"Shinobu, do you want to eat something tasty?"
"Hm? What are you planning right now?" She eyed him suspiciously.
"Don't worry, I won't do any teasing anymore." He laughed at her, she looked like a startled little rabbit which made him want to mofu-mofu her once again.
Shinobu backed away from him as if sensing his evil intention. Before long, Shinobu was fleeing with Vincent on her heels.
After a few minutes playing a mouse and cat, Shinobu stopped in front of the door tagged as a male restroom.
'This... Don't tell me she buy my nonsense when I told her that my ability need male restroom to function...' He is looking at her quietly, speechless at the blonde loli in front of him, she's too naive.
The pair of siblings who have been looking at Vincent and Shinobu secretly was taken aback when the young man take the blond girl inside the male restroom, so they followed them right into the restroom in case something bad might happens.
But they're only become more confused when there's no one inside the restroom except the vomit boy even after looking in every corner of the restroom, causing the elder sister to vent her frustration on the vomit boy who dared to puke on her boots earlier.
Before long... a loud cry of pain resounded from the airship, followed by a woman's shriek as if tragedy has befallen her life.
"No! There's a puke on my jacket!!"

One moment they're inside the airship and the next they find themselves in a pretty hallway with many expensive-looking decorations.
After admiring the interior of the hotel, Vincent approached the woman who looked like an employee of the hotel.
"I want to stay for the night, double bed."
"That would be 100 Lien."
Vincent reached into his empty pocket and came out with 100 Lien in his hand, then put them down on the metallic surface of the counter.
Not even suspicious for one bit, the woman put the Lien into a machine that looked like a money storage and give him a key to his room.
Their room is located high on the very top floor of the hotel and it takes a few minutes even when using an elevator.
The moment they finally arrived in their room, 100 Lien in the money storage are letting out a sizzling sounds as they started dissolving like a smoke.
"So... when did you learn to do that? I don't remember teaching you matter manipulation yet." Shinobu asked him a question while bouncing around on the bed.
"Well... it's just my instinct, or maybe I am... a genius?" He said nonchalantly.
"Hmph! It's fine if you don't want to tell me," She pouted, "I am not even curious, not one bit."
"... It's not that big of a deal... that things only lasted for a few minutes after all," Vincent let out a weak smile. He was feeling a little guilty for duping the innocent woman earlier. She might have to pay for the missing Lien with her pocket money to stay out of trouble and keep her job.
But it can't be helped because he has no Lien to his name. He can only apologize in his heart and make it up to her by giving her a big tips once he finds a way to make a big fortune in Remnant.
They stayed in the hotel chatting on the double bed, mainly it was Shinobu who has been giving him advice and some important things he needs to know about vampire and the things he needs to watch out for.
Vincent also felt that Shinobu started to open up to him for real that day and it made his mood turned for the better.
When the sun sinking into the horizon, Vincent started browsing various foods and snacks from the scroll, a smartphone version of Remnant, but this one is stuck on the table, being the hotel's property.
Vincent smiled when a familiar food pop up on the scroll. He turned toward Shinobu and smiled, "So, do you want to eat some donuts?"
"Donut? What's that?"
"Something tasty, I am sure you will like it," Vincent said with certainty.
With donuts as an excuse, he is leaving the hotel from the front entrance, promising her plenty of donuts when he's back. He is dirt poor right now, so first thing first, he had to find a way to earn a quick buck without having to feel bad for himself.
And there's only one way to do that in remnant... robbing the criminals.
Remnant is a world full of criminals if you know where to look, especially with the White Fang and Roman Torchwick have been robbing the dust stores around the city of Vale.
By robbing the criminals, he got to gain quick buck while also at the same time spoiled the White Fang and Roman Torchwick's wicked plans, killing two birds with one stone. Vincent honestly think that his idea isn't half bad.
With that plan in mind, Vincent walked around the bustling Commercial District of Vale. The street is crowded with both human and Faunus, people with animal traits such as rabbit ears or dog tail.
But he only saw a few Faunus who walked the night street. He had a pretty convincing guess that it might be caused by the discrimination they received from humans, so the majority of Faunus didn't dare to show their face in public. They lived in hiding, tending their wounded heart while planning their revenge against humanity through violence, just like White Fang...
