Greatly Underestimated

The Vale's Commercial District is a bustling place with a lot of interesting shops and also plenty of entertainment building.

Vincent is window shopping with no intention to purchase anything, looking around the beautiful shops in wonder, especially the dust shops. They sell stuff called dust in various colors and shapes, a beautiful little thing.

He appreciates the Commercial District for forty minutes before the novelty dies down.

So far, even after scouring half the place, there's nothing suspicious in the Commercial District.

So, he decided to visit the information broker in Junior's Club.

With that in mind, he asked a random passerby the directions to Industrial District.

He got a weird look from the man, but Vincent pretended not to notice and keep his poker face. In the end, the man gave him what he needed to know about the Industrial District, as for the Club's location he doubt a random people in Commercial District know about a place like that.

The journey to the Industrial District is quite far and he saw fewer people the closer he got to the Industrial District. It takes him 20 minutes to arrive there and by then he only saw a handful of people wandering on the street.

He tried to act normal as he look around for a place resembling a bar or clubs. That kind of place usually serves as the gathering of shady individuals and also a good place to fish for information with a little bit of Lien.

After a bit of asking, he finally found the club he was looking for.

Junior's Club, the glowing sign atop the building is very conspicuous.

The entrance of the club is guarded by a Junior's henchman, he blocked Vincent with his hand, but before the he had the chance to say something, Vincent already swiped a Lien with a flick of his hand. The bouncer closed his mouth and he let Vincent pass through the door.

With his back straight, Vincent strolled inside the club with a composed look as if it was his usual hangout.

He gets many stares from the people in the club, but majority was from the ladies. Sometimes they throw him a flirty look and few invite him to have fun with them.

Vincent is a handsome young man with blond hair and golden eyes, he knew and acknowledged that a long time ago. So, it's not surprising when he's attracting so many pretty ladies in the bar, especially when his vampire's traits enhanced his already attractive appearance to be more appealing to the opposite gender.

Ignoring the ladies, he approached the bartender.

"Give me the usual... " a faint smile formed on Vincent's lips.

"Er... Very well..." The bartender gave him a weird look, he's hesitated for a moment before decided to mix a random cocktail for the weird teenager in front of him. But the bartender suddenly stopped his movement as if realizing something.

"Aren't you too young to be drinking?"

"Ah, don't let my appearance fool you. I am a professional hunter, freshly graduated from the Beacon Academy."

"Hmm... is that so..." He looks at Vincent suspiciously, there's also wariness mixed inside.

There's silence between them, only occasional sound created by the bartender while mixing his drink and the club's loud music could be heard.

"A nice club you have here Junior. I would never have thought the owner is the bartender himself."

"Hoh... So you knew about me." Junior expression turned serious as he placed the cocktail down in front of him.

"What do you want?" Junior asked.

"Roman Torchwick."

"... I have nothing about him." He frowned.

"Hm, that's weird... Didn't you lend your men to him some times ago to help Roman rob some dust stores around the Vale..." Vincent lips held a faint smile and his eyes twinkled, "It's so lively lately in the city."

"You! How did you know?!" Junior opened his eyes wide in surprise.

"Well, I have my sources."

"Kuh... Are you trying to blackmail me...?" Junior's surprise slowly turned into anger and his tone hardened. As if on cue, two beautiful girls flanked Vincent from behind, ready to strike on Junior's command.

But Vincent ignored them and focused his attention on Junior.

"There's no need for you to worry, I am good at keeping secret," The smile of pleasure never left Vincent's face, "As long as you tell me what I need to know. there would be no need for the authority to get involved."

"Dammit... I would never have thought Roman will bring me a big problem one after another in just a couple of weeks..." Junior's sigh was exasperated.

=====

Vincent stood in front of a large warehouse in the northern part of the Industrial District. According to Junior's information, this warehouse is the temporary base of the infamous thief, Roman Torchwick and his goon.

But the place is very quiet and he saw no one around him, the doors are locked but that was to be expected.

"I guess this is the time to test the vampire's strength."

Vincent didn't feel any impact at all. By the time the metal door of the warehouse made a contact with his leg, it was immediately wrecked and flew at incredible speed inside the warehouse.

What followed after the door was a great mayhem.

The sound of multiple crates being destroyed resounded inside the warehouse repeatedly but what concerned Vincent the most was the cries of pain and rage by the residents of the warehouse.

"Guhhaa!"

"Uggooo!"

"Uwooh! My back! My back... I can't feel my back..."

Vincent was immediately taken aback when he saw the metal door he sent flying. No, there are two doors right now.

They're wrecked and lodged themselves into a white van outside the warehouse. It means his kick sent the door flying in a straight line just like a bowling, destroying the obstacles in its path and then demolished the other metal door on the other side of the warehouse and finally stopped by the innocent white van.

Shinobu already told him to pay extra attention when using his strength due to the massive difference between human and vampire strength. That's why he didn't use that much of a strength behind his kick.

But in the end, he was still greatly underestimated his vampire strength.

Luckily the victims of his blunder are the criminals and members of White Fangs.

They're people who had already awakened their aura, so as long as Vincent do not give them a final blow, they won't die that easily.

"Ugh... My back..."

Though they could break a thing or two.

"Good evening gentlemen, I am looking for Roman Torchwick... Is he here by chance...?" Vincent smiled as he looked at the writhing criminals inside the warehouse.
