Unspoken words

It's been another week after Doctor Alex had checked her but she is not getting better. Day by day Lina is still throwing her guts out. They went to the hospital to do more extensive tests on her on the doctor's insistence. Her period also came just the day before, adding to the lethargy in her body.

She was immediately hooked to two IV's because of her dehydration and was given some cramp medicine to help with the pain. She was in the hospital for over eight hours to do every possible series of tests possible and scans to figure out what's causing her vomiting, non-invasive tests only.

She still hasn't told Henry about her being sick, Lina feels that she missed her timing so she just needs to get better and she can pretend it didn't even happen.

When they reached her house, carrying some prescribed medicine for her, Lina immediately called Henry on her cellphone. He's waiting for her call. It's about two in the afternoon in Miresa.

"Hi, baby. How was your day?" Henry picked up on the second ring.

"Hi, it was long and tiring. How's your day so far? " Lina honestly said, letting some of her frustrations seep into her voice but not telling him everything.

"You need a longer rest than few hours of sleep. My day is fine so far."

"I get the day off tomorrow." Lina informed him. Her team decided that she needs longer rest.

"That's good. A package should arrive there tomorrow too."

"Really? What is it?" Lina said while yawning.

Henry laughed and said, "You'll find out tomorrow. Now, you have to sleep."

"In some time." Lina said again while yawning. "What did you do today?" She asks Henry.

Lina had fallen asleep while on the phone, Henry can hear her steady breaths as he was telling her about his day. "Goodnight, baby." he whispers, not wanting to bother her sleep.

Henry stayed for a few more minutes on the phone just listening to Lina breathe.

He told her his day is fine when in reality its far from fine. He's got the worst day ever.

He couldn't talk to Lina this morning because she was busy which was just the bad start. As soon as he got to the office it was problems after problems that needed to be resolved. He was still in a meeting right at that moment, shouting and running the team responsible for one of the projects having problems ragged when Lina called. He quickly picked it up to brighten up his day some and it did.

When he was calm enough. He hangs up the phone and turned around. The 8 people in there pretended they didn't hear anything and was actually relieved to have a few minutes break from Henry's wrath. With a clearer mind and better mood, he continued with the meeting and was done soon after that. The employees silently thanked whoever it was that called just then in their minds.

Dylan was waiting for Henry when he returned to his office.

"Don't tell me if its bad news. I already have enough for today." He tells him as he sat on his next, starting on the next issue to resolve. Thankfully he got his groove back after his phone call with Lina so he went through the other issues quite quickly.

Dylan just sat there, drinking coffee. It's not unusual for Dylan to hang around in his office like that so he let him be. After an hour and Henry made good way of his work, he leaned back on his chair and called for coffee.

Her executive assistant, Ivy, came in a few minutes later with his coffee. She left it on his table, bending over and asked with a sweet voice, "Is there anything else, CEO Wu?"

"No, thank you." Henry answered absently.

As Henry grabbed his coffee cup, he saw Dylan's smirk.

"What?" he asked.

"I see that your secretary is still making moves on you." Dylan responded.

"I don't know what you mean. They are all very professional."

"That's what you think. Her shirt was unbuttoned almost all the way to her belly button and she's wearing tighter and shorter work clothes day by day. I heard a gossip that you're dating her."

"I really don't know what you're talking about. Besides, you know the truth." Henry responded. He barely noticed she was there already, much else her clothes.

"Yeah, I do. Your wife might not like it if she hears that gossip."

"And why are you so worried about my wife's reaction?"

"Because she needs to accept our offer first." Dylan stood up and dropped a folder on his desk, labelled with their new game logo.

"Ahhh, that's why you have my wife's interest in mind. Scared that she won't do it because she's upset? Henry teased his friend.

"Wu Henry, I'm telling you, don't do anything to jeopardize this. This project is my baby!" Dylan told him passionately.

"Haha, I'll show your baby to Lina and see what she thinks. She hasn't agreed yet, you know."

"But she will." Dylan confidently answered as he left.

Henry was about to go back to work when the phone rang.

"Yes." He answered.

"Sir, your shopper is on the other line. Would you like to speak to her or should I tell her to call back another time?" Ivy informs him.

"Connect her through."

"Hello, CEO Henry, how are you?" Yara Yang, Henry's personal shopper and stylist, said on the phone when the call got transferred.

"Good. What is it?" Henry said, straight to the point as usual.

"I have the new set of clothes for you for the fall and winter season. Should I bring them to you tomorrow?"

"Okay that's fine. I'll ask Zhang Yong to schedule you in. Bye." And Henry hangs up the phone.

When Zhang Yong came in for some documents to be signed, he informed him to take of it.

"CEO Wei, I don't think you can leave in two weeks to Novaly." Zhang Yong informed him nervously. He knows how irritable his boss was the past few weeks and he was looking forward to going back to his wife soon.

"Why?" Henry asked him, cold stare piercing him.

"The technology conference in Pirend was moved next week due to some internal issues. And Widget Corporation wanted to meet you there to discuss the contract renewal. So I will have to re adjust your calendar."

When Henry just stayed silent, deep in thought. Zhang Yong quickly added "But you can go there in two weeks after the conference."

Henry knows the importance of him attending the conference. It's not a public conference, only select people and companies will be there. He had made a lot of great deals from that conference every year.

"That's fine, you can go." Henry said and went back to work and only finished well after ten in the evening.
