Broken hearts in his office floor

When they were done and Yara's staff has finished organizing. Taking the "nope" rack with them and leaving the "Lina liked it" rack, properly wrapped now, Yara walked closer to Henry's desk who already went back to work and was engrossed with something at his computer. While Ivy stood next to the rack that was left to put some notes on the tags.

"CEO Wu, so when are you planning to visit the mountain?" Yara asked as she stood in front of him.

"I already went." Henry replied absently.

Lina paid closer attention to Yara's face as the smile slightly dulled with Henry's response.

"Oh is that so. And the beach?" Yara asked again, her tone a bit harder now.

"Done." Henry again said.

"And the clothes?" Is that desperation in her voice as she asked.

Henry finally looked up. "They're too small. But my wife said she'll buy her own clothes from now on so you don't have to worry about it."

PLOP!

Ivy's notepad fell on the floor, her face had a horrified expression. While Yara's mouth fell open, obvious shock in her face. Henry just looked briefly at Ivy who bent down to collect her notepad.

"W-w-wife?" Yara asked, with her voice shaking, wobbly smile on her lips. She's trying hard to keep her composure.

"Yeah, I got married." At that time, Zhang Yong came in and called Henry to talk to someone outside his office so he stood up and left after a quick glance to Lina.

He missed the show of hearts breaking on his office floor.

"He got married?" Yara asked Ivy full of disdain. Ivy fell on her ass on the floor, her legs are shaking so much she can't take it anymore.

"I'm going to be a mistress?" Ivy asked herself, completely ignoring Yara.

"Shut up! You should've known he got married!" Yara grabbed a blank sheet of paper from the table, balled it in her hands and threw it at Ivy, direct shot to her head.

Ivy stood up as she felt the paper hit her. "At least he's not married to you!" as she threw the paper back at Yara.

"But he said to pick out clothes for me." Yara said almost pitifully, still not accepting what Henry just told her. She thought the clothes will be for her and that Henry is taking her on a trip when Henry said he needs women clothes in her size.

"No, he said pick clothes same to your size." Ivy called out before walking out of the office. After a few heartbeats, Yara followed out, stomping her perfectly pedicured red nails in her very high sandals.

Henry came back soon after same as usual. He's totally clueless about the women around him. While Lina is laughing so hard on what she had just seen. He heard it when he switched the tablet back into loud speaker.

"What's funny?" he asked Lina. Her joy infectious so he had a smile on his face too.

"You are funny. You broke those two women's heart just now."

"Are you talking about Ivy and Yara? That's not true. I saw them on their way out."

"I know, that's why it's funny. But aren't you worried that they will let it slip that you're married?" Lina asked seriously.

"All of the employees in both Wu companies and the foundation including people that works for me outside of it, even on short contracts have to sign comprehensive NDA's. Since it's not that hard to trace the source, nobody would try and do that."

"Okay then Mr CEO." Lina said as they went back to their work, occasionally chatting about anything and everything under the sun.

Henry had just finished his lunch when Lina started yawning. Its only past ten in the evening in Novaly but her body is still recovering from the stress of being sick.

"Get ready for bed." Henry told Lina.

"Okay," Lina said while yawning. She came out of the walk-in closet after a few minutes dressed in a pale yellow silk long sleeved pajama top and pants.

"Goodbye now. I'm going to sleep." Lina said as she picked up the tablet.

"Put the tablet on your bedside table and plug it in. You don't have to disconnect the call."

"Will you creepily watch me sleep?" Lina asked as she walked towards her bed.

"No, I will watch over you against creepy people." Henry tells her like she's a kid.

"You're weird." Lina said as he complied to his instructions.

"Only for you, baby." Henry tells her with a smirk.

"Is that supposed to make me feel better." She asked as she laid down on the bed getting comfortable, facing the tablet.

"Yes, it is. Go to sleep, wife." Henry softly said as Lina's eyes heavily closed and she fell asleep.

That was the first comfortable and actually restful sleep she had since she got back to Novaly. She didn't wake up during the night until Jenny came in to wake her up the next morning.

Lina's stomach is also better, no more nausea, vomiting and stomach cramps. She's finally free from that awful PMS.

Lina looked towards her tablet to see that Henry is sleeping in his bed, the bed she used when she was there. She shut off the app with a smile and started her day with energy and spring in her steps.

That was her routine with Henry for the following week, when she gets back home from work, she would just switch on the tablet and just keep it like that as she worked on her scripts or laptop, even during meals. Henry did the same, he would just leave it on his desk and they would talk about random stuff as they both worked. And Lina would move it next to her bed before sleeping.

Even Henry was in a better mood now and work is almost back to normal unlike the previous week. But next week he needs to be in Pirend for a conference so he's not sure how often they can video call.

With the distance between them, they have no choice but to talk and communicate. And it's actually helping them get to know each other better. They get to know the most random stories, be it from their past, work or home. Despite the distance, they feel closer. It's like they are dating like teenagers instead of being a married couple. Both Lina and Henry look forward to the time they can talk again and share jokes and laughter.
