Blabber Mouths

"Nana, are you pregnant?" Senna asked as she knocks on Lina's bathroom door. Lina is currently throwing up in her bathroom. She was woken up by that awfully familiar stomach churn again that had her rushing to the bathroom. This is the third day in a row now.

The twins arrived to her house just yesterday and will be there for the next two days before heading home. They have a school trip that includes travelling to as few cities in Anemopolis to visit different labs and hospitals to study new and developing medical devices and equipment. The twins are part of their very advanced science club. They got special permission to stay in Lina's house for the two days they get to spend in Novaly.

Lina flushed the toilet, brushed her teeth and went out. She passed by Senna and Jia and jumped back to her bed.

"Does Henry already know?" Senna followed her to ask.

"I'm not pregnant Senna. It's just a persistent stomach bug." Lina informed her.

"Oh, okay then. Maybe sleep some more." Senna said as she left.

"Yeah, you look awful." Jia said as she followed her twin out the door.

After a few minutes, Jenny came in with Doctor Alex.

"Well, hello again." He said with his normal jolly self.

"Uggghh!" Lina replies as she offered her right arm to be pricked. She knows the drill by now.

"Did you eat something bad?" Dr Alex asked as he collected blood from her.

"No, all the food she ate, we all ate it too. And we're okay. Most of it is from home too." Jenny answered. "Will you have to connect an IV to her?"

"I'll just give her a vitamin shot and pain killer for the cramps. Make sure she drinks lots of water though while working. I'll run the tests and update you."

Dr Alex left with Jenny and Lina fell asleep and rested a few more hours before she had to go to work that day.

Pirend, Seiliu

Henry loosened his neck tie as he pushed his hotel room door closed. He's tired and absolutely burnt out that he can't even manage to take the less than half an hour drive to his house in Pirend.

Its Day 3 of the conference. It's been four days since he was able to video call with Lina and he will be here another two days. It's been hectic long days too.

He and Zhang Yong are wrung out dry because they are physically in Pirend but they had so many issues to attend to that's in Miresa. Dylan is there to help out but today, even his new game encountered a problem in one of their test runs.

Just when he's about to message Lina, his phone rang, his mom calling him.

"Hello, Mom."

"Hello Henry. You're still in Pirend?"

"Yes, why?"

"Well, I was just talking to Maria and she mentioned that the twins are travelling back from Novaly on Friday. They will have a few hours layover in Pirend. I was thinking if you can take them out for lunch? We will try and be there too."

"That's fine Mom. Just send me their itinerary and I I'll take care of it. And confirm if you're coming too."

"Okay, that's good. See you then. Bye."

Friday came soon after that with hoe busy his days were, offering a little sun in his gloomy week. Lina has also been so busy that their schedule couldn't match at all. They barely spoke this week.

He is now in the car, waiting outside of the designated airport exit doors for the twins. When he saw them with a staff from the airport he stepped out of the car.

"Henry." They said in chorus as they ran towards him.

"Hello brats." Ruffling their hairs and handing his ID to the staff.

"Thank you. Please make sure to drop them off not later than seven o clock tonight. They can go straight to the gate entrance and we will meet them there." The staff reminded him as she returned his ID after confirming his identity.

The twins jumped into the car and they went straight to the restaurant her mother has chosen. Her mother and grandmother both arrived early that morning in Pirend. His father is needed at work so he couldn't come and his grandfather also has a standing appointment to get to today in Miresa.

They had a private room in a seafood restaurant. The girls are opening the gifts the two women brought for them. Their laughter is so happy and carefree that Henry feels a little better now just hearing them.

When they almost done with their meal, Senna placed her fork down hurriedly and grabbed her stomach.

"Oh no, I think Lina gave me her stomach flu." She said, panicking slightly looking at Jia.

"Are you going to throw up?" Jia asked. Just then Senna let out a burp.

"Whoops. Excuse me. I'm sorry, I'm getting paranoid with all that retching Lina did when we were in her house."

Henry was as still as a stone. He didn't know Lina is sick.

"What do you mean Senna?" Wu Grace asked, worried about her daughter in law.

"Lina caught a stomach bug so she pukes a lot." Senna tells them innocently.

"Josie said she was sick a few ago too and got better but she seems to have caught it again." Jia added.

"Henry, did you know about this?" Grandma Sophia asked Henry directly.

Henry shook his head, "She was fine a week ago, we we're talking and she's okay." he said quietly.

He took out his phone to call Zhang Yong.

"Hello CEO Henry." Zhang Yong answered.

"Zhang Yong, cancel all my schedule and prepare the plane to fly to Novaly tonight." He tells his assistant.

"Sir, you have an important meeting tomorrow morning. I can schedule the plane to leave after that."

Henry almost forgot that meeting that they worked on for months.

"Okay, make sure we can leave before noon." He hangs up.

"Grandma, did we do something wrong." Senna asked, she's a little scared by Henry reaction.

Henry realized how the girls reacted to his outburst, so she comforted them.

"No, you did well. You we're very good blabber mouths. You have to keep doing that for me in the future."

And after, he took the girls to do some shopping before dropping them off to the airport before he headed back to his house in Pirend with his mother and grandmother.

Henry is upset that Lina didn't tell her about it. But he's more upset that he's not there. It was a sleepless and restless evening for him.
