Lina saw Henry's face turn cold. He hit the table just hard enough to startle her and said. "I'll let you off this time because you don't know me yet. But remember this in the future, future Mrs Wu. Me, marrying you, will not be a marriage on paper only. You are going to be my wife in every sense of the word."

"That doesn't mean you own me." Lina replied

Henry smiled wickedly, "But that's exactly what it is, baby, and I am yours."

Inevitably Bound To Him

The father and son ended up talking for a few hours with Zhang Yong so he can catch up with whatever he missed while in Miresa. This is the advantage of having a family member who also runs a company, you can rely on them when needed. His Grandfather even managed to lock in a great deal on his behalf during his stay with Lina.


When they finished lunch, he went to check on Lina but she was still sleeping. She actually slept until well into the early morning. She only shortly woke up in the evening while Maria was sitting with her to use the washroom and managed to take in some soup and fell back to sleep.


It's about three in the morning, Henry is reading some documents in bed, woke up about an hour ago, still getting used to the time difference again. Lina started to move about from beside him.


"I'm thirsty." Lina said, Henry helped her sit up on the bed and handed her the glass of water he kept ready by the bedside table. He made sure to keep a hold of it, to be sure it doesn't spill.


"Are you hungry?" Henry asked Lina as she settled back in bed.


"Yeah, just reading some contracts. We have to go to the hospital later." Henry informed her.


"You can go to work, both our Mom's will be going with me anyway."


"I already agreed on going there ahead of you and staying inside Dr Jin's clinic." Looking at Lina sharply.


"Okay, if that's what you want." She said softly before drifting back to sleep while Henry kept watch.


That felt like the last time he has spoken with his wife or had an alone time with her.


Henry is ready to kick everyone out of their house. He's in a bad mood and he can't hide it anymore. It's been almost five days since they returned to Miresa. 


Lina has been taking additional traditional medicine to help her body recover quicker but it knocks her off quickly every night, by the time he gets to their room after her mom leaves, she's already deep asleep. 


As soon as she wakes up, both their mothers are already waiting for Lina, stealing her from him for the rest of the day.


The heavens must have taken pity on him because Donghoon, Maria's husband called to have her come home soon. They have previous appointments that they have to attend which they cannot reschedule anymore, so she's leaving the following morning.
