Spying And Monsters

Freya walked out of the court with Ted after Finn's trial, she and Gwen have provided the witnesses to prove Finn not guilty. After finding out who the murderer was, they had submitted the evidence and presented Anthony as a witness to the police too. They arrested Nick Carter at his work place.

Gwen had already left to go meet with James so she was left to go back home with only Ted. "Freya!"

She heard Finn call her, she stopped her walk to her car and turned to face him as he approached them from the court.

"Hey, is there something else you want to discuss?" She asked after he stopped in front her and of Ted.

"Yeah, but it's not case related. I need to talk to you about something else." Finn replied glancing at Ted then back at her.

"Whatever you want to say, you can say it in front of him."

"Well, the thing is, I want to know if you want to go out with me? Try to see how things will go between us?"

She was shocked that Finn had the audacity to ask her out while he knew she was engaged. What was wrong with these men? First Seth, then Finn. Doesn't the engagement ring mean anything to them?

"Did I hear you well? Finn, take a good look at this." She raised her hand showed him her engagement ring with her palm facing her.

"You know that I'm engaged to Luke and I would never cheat on him. I'm not Percy. Stop competing with Luke because he's way above you. By the way, just because I worked on your case, doesn't mean I like you." She turned around and paced to her car with Ted following her, not giving Finn a chance to reply.

Clara hung up her phone as she and Dr. David were sitting in her study. Dr. David was sat behind her desk and she was sat in one of the chairs in front of her desk as they discussed how they can make the government allow vivisection to be practiced again in the country.

Clara sighed and held her head with two fingers of each hand by the sides massaging her temples. "That was Lydia." She removed her hands from her head and faced him.

"She told me that Freya left her law firm to start working at her own firm at the Walters Inc. company which is Luke Walters company."

Dr. David slammed his fist on the desk as his jaw clenched out of anger, Clara jumped.

"What? How can you let her leave?"

"I didn't know until now and Lydia said that she tried to stop her, but Freya didn't listen." She said with a cringe as she watched his reaction. Dr. David was not a pretty sight when he was angry.

"Freya is not under Lydia now and we don't know anyone at that company. What do we do now?" He said lacing his fingers together on the desk while looking at Clara.

"I will call Garrett to have him find a Walters Inc. employee that is not loyal to Luke Walters, that way he can keep tabs on Freya and let us know everything that's going on."

"Good, good. It's the best idea right now to get an inside man in there." He leaned back in the chair and folded his arms across his chest. "You have the best ideas just like you came up with that idea to scare Freya at that talent show. That way, she can't break our deal again."

"Of course I do, that's one of the reasons we are working together." She said with a smirk picking up her phone from the table.

He watched as she placed it to her ear, "Hello Garrett?"

Freya was about to open the door of Luke's house to go outside when Luke pushed the door open. He raised an eyebrow when be saw her dressed in a jacket and about to go out.

"Hey baby. I'm back, but where are you rushing off to?" He asked stepping closer to her.

"I was about to go to that hunted house where we saw Dr. David operating on someone in the 'Not Scary' room. I need to see if I can find out anything against him."

"I don't want you near him, we don't know what he might try." He protested raising his hand to push a few strands of hair from her face.

"He can't do anything to me in public. Besides, Ted will be there with me and I have my fighting skills thanks to you." He stared into her eyes pleading with her to listen to him and she squeezed his arm reassuringly.

"I need to do this, Luke. I'm tired of feeling helpless against him, and the more time we take in bringing an end to him, the more time he has to torture or kill other people." She caressed his face, his light stubble rubbing against her palm.

"Fine, but I'm coming with you."

She smiled and he inclined his head kissing her palm that was caressing his cheek.

She nodded and removed her hand from his face, he took her hand and led her into the living room. "Just wait for me here, I'll go and change before we go."

"Where were you, anyway? Today's Saturday and I couldn't find you when I woke up this morning." She asked while they were standing in the living room still holding hands.

"Yeah, about that. I meant to tell you, I went to meet with those government officials that I told George to arrange a meeting with. I asked for their help to support us against Dr. David and Clara, but they refused to help." He let out a sigh looking at Freya with sympathy.

"I tried as much as I could to convince them and show them how I can help them in return with my connections, but they don't want to be involved."

"Oh well, that means we need to keep looking for those officials that would help us." She said feeling down at the news.

"Don't look so down, Freya. I have my connections and I will definitely get the authorities to help us." He placed a kiss on her cheek before letting go of her hand and turning around to climb the stairs to the top floor where his and her rooms were.

She stared after him with a smile on her face. Feeling so glad that she met a man as great as him.

She sat on one of the couches' arm waiting for him to come down. He came back down in a couple of minutes, she straightened and they went out the door to his Ferrari.

They both got in and Luke drove them to the hunted house he took her to on their first date. They got out of the car and walked to the ticket stand at the gate to the hunted house.

"It's better to visit this place at night, to truly enjoy its props." The woman at the ticket stand said to them after handing them their tickets.

Freya nodded her head and they collected their tickets before going through the gate. She and Luke opened the red door, stepping into the house hand in hand.

The eerie music was being played the house like last time as they trudged up the old stairs. It creaked with each step they made until they reached the top floor. They made their way to the 'Not Scary' room.

Luke opened the door, they were met with a view they didn't expect. The room was made to resemble a forest, not like the last time they were there. The floor was sand, and shrubs, vines and trees were everywhere.

They heard something heavy move in the trees, another movement came from their left. A hiss came before a large mechanical anaconda leaped up from the shrubs and attacked them.

Luke pulled Freya to him and they rushed out of the door, closing it behind them. "That was unusual."

"Yeah, where is Dr. David or his operating room?" Freya said.

"Maybe he moved to the 'Too Scary' room. Let's check it out." They walked to the room and opened it, the room was the same as they last left it. Three people, two men and a woman were fighting off robotic zombies.

Freya closed the door, "He's not here either, so what do we do?"

"Let's check out the room on the ground floor, if he's not there too then we can ask the woman at the stand."

She nodded, "That's a great idea."

They walked down the stairs and approached the door on the left that they didn't go through the last time they were there.

Freya pushed open the door and they peered in. A disfigured monster was sitting on a prop rock, he looked at them when he heard the door open.

The monster had a face of a pig and wolf combined and twisted together. His nose was a pig's nose, his mouth was a wolf's maw and he was terrifying to look at.

He had the body of a giant gorilla, she couldn't tell if it was a man wearing a suit or a robot. whatever it was, it was well designed.

The monster let out a loud roar, and Luke pulled the door shut. "Okay, he's not there either. We have to ask the stand lady now."

She nodded, "That monster looked so real."

"Yeah, it was like we were in a horror movie." They went out of the hunted house and approached the woman at the stand. She was still there and was writing on a piece of paper.

"Hey, can we ask you what happened to the man that operates in one of those scary rooms?"
