Percy's Murderer

"He said that Nick has been spotted more than once talking to Clara." Salma relayed to Freya and Gwen as they stood around Freya's cubicle.

Salma had returned from her trip that week and to work on that day with information from her husband, Karim about Percy's case.

Freya and Gwen looked shocked that Nick was involved with Clara, that meant that he was also involved with Dr. David.

"Why would he be involved with her?" Freya asked just as Gwen asked, "Could it be that they murdered Percy?"

"I asked him all that too, but he said that he doesn't have that information yet." Salma answered as Freya took a sip of her coffee.

"Please ask him to investigate further." She requested and Salma nodded.

"You have worked very hard and made us proud. You have saved our company from embezzlement when you noticed part of each month's profit being removed. We will miss you terribly." President Steven of Stark Inc. said to Luke as he shook his hand as they were standing in the company's reception.

Everyone there clapped for him to support Steven's statement. It was Luke's last day at work. His secretary, George and all employees in the company have gathered together there for Luke's leave from the company.

His dad, Jack Walters has retired from his company, Walters Inc. and Luke will now be taking over the company, so he had to leave Stark.

"Thank you, Sir. I will miss you all too." Steven released his hand from the hand shake and Luke walked out of the company with George.

They made their way to the Limo and got in. Trevor started the car before driving them back home. To Freya. Luke thought as he remembered her smiling face.

"When are you going to start working at Walters Inc.?" Freya asked Luke while they were on the couch with his head on her lap.

After he had come home from work, he came and laid down on her lap after seeing her on the couch watching the TV. "Tomorrow."

She brushed her fingers through his hair and he smiled taking her hand from his hair and brought it to his lips, kissing the inside of her wrist.

"I want to open a firm for you inside our company, so that I can see you everyday and that way Lydia can't keep tabs on you." He murmured as he released her hand and she moved it back to his hair.

"I would love that, you're too good to me." She felt so happy as he sat up and faced her.

He raised his hand up to her cheek and caressed it as he stared into her eyes, "You deserve even more than this, baby. I want you to be the happiest woman in the world."

"I love you."

"I love you too."

"But there's one problem, I can't run this firm on my own."

"Well, you can ask Gwen and Salma to work with you there."

"Thank you. I'll ask them, but we can only start after we resolve Percy's murder case."

"I'll keep missing you at work until then, I've already had your block set up."

"Luke wants to open a law firm for us at his company? That's great news!" Gwen exclaimed with excitement after Freya told her and Salma the great news.

They were standing in the break room, not to make coffee, but to talk without anyone listening to them.

Salma smiled tightly, "That's very nice of him, but Community town is too far for me since I have a family in this town. I can't be part of your firm, I have to stay here."

Freya touched her arm, "It wouldn't be the same without you, but Gwen and I will make it work."

"Yeah." Gwen nodded and Freya said, "We need to tell Lydia that we're leaving this firm."

"Absolutely, but I think that you should go alone and tell her since you're her favorite." Gwen said and Salma nodded while she looked at them like they have lost their minds.

"Mmm, is that why she's working with people that are trying to destroy my life?"

She sighed looking at Gwen, "It's fine, I'll go and tell her that you and I will be leaving this firm."

She walked out of the door, went through their office space and stopped at Lydia's office door where beside it, Ethan was sitting behind his desk.

"Hi, Freya."

"Hey." She answered while knocking on the door.

She heard a faint 'come in' and she went in. Lydia was sitting behind her desk writing in a file, she looked up and saw it was Freya.

She sat on the chair in front of Lydia's desk with her hands clasped together. "Why are you here?"

"I came to tell you that Gwen and I will be leaving this firm soon, we got work at another place."

"What?" Lydia stared at her in disbelief and Freya nodded knowing Lydia already heard her.

"I told you that you're my top lawyer here, so why are you leaving?"

"Why? Which reason should I start with? Is it you working with Dr. David and Clara, or is it you refusing to let me set up a case against them?"

"Even if you go to another law firm, you can't set up a case against them. Unless you have the government with you and the police."

"I know that, but that won't stop me from leaving."

"Where are you going?"

"I'm sorry, but I can't tell you." She stood up from her seat and made her to the door.

Lydia spoke up when she placed her hand on the door knob, "That's fair. Tell Gwen to come see me."

She nodded and went out the door to Gwen's cubicle, "Lydia wants you in her office."

Gwen looked at the time on her watch, "But Freya, it's already past 11:00am and we have to go talk to the guy that told Finn he saw someone going into Percy's house on the night of the murder."

"Yes, I know. Just see her and we'll get going."

"Alright." Gwen stood up and walked to Lydia's office while Freya sat on Gwen's chair waiting for her.

Gwen came out of the office after some minutes and Freya got up to meet Gwen. "Let's go."

They both walked out of the office space and found Ted at the reception. "Ted, we need to go to Betty's."

"Yes, ma'am." He answered Freya's statement. The two of them walked to Freya's car while Gwen walked to her own car.

They got in and Ted reversed pulling out of the parking lot and onto the road with Gwen not far behind. They arrived at Betty's in a few minutes and they all got out and walked to the diner's entrance.

Upon entering, they spotted Finn and another guy at a table for five, just like Freya told him to get since Ted will be with them.

"Hey." Gwen and Freya say at the same time.

"Hi, this is Anthony, Percy's neighbor that I told you about." Finn gestured to a guy that looked to be eighteen or nineteen.

"Yes, nice to meet you Anthony." She smiled at him and he smiled back looking hyped.

"I'm so glad I can help. It's something that has been bugging me since I saw it. I felt like if I didn't do anything about it, I would keep feeling guilty and wrong. You know what I mean?"

"Yes, we understand what you mean, Anthony." Gwen said and Freya said, "Can you tell us exactly what you saw and who you saw?"

He nodded his head, "Yeah, yeah, I can. It was around 8:00 at night and I was out in my backyard listening to some music. I came out there because my 'rents were having a fight again and I couldn't take it. Just wanted to forget, you know?"

Gwen and Freya nodded waiting for him to continue, "As I was there, listening to my playlist, I saw a man climb into a bedroom window of Mr. Brady's house, so I got up and went closer to see what was going on. I looked into the window and I saw him waiting by the door, I took a picture of him with my phone, but then he went out of the room through the bedroom door.

I heard some noise to the left and I moved there quickly. The window there was small and high, so I thought that it must be a bathroom. I raised my phone high and got a picture too. I heard arguing coming from a man and woman there, so I ran back home and locked the doors and windows in case the man was a burglar."

"Who was he? Did you recognize him?" Freya asked, he shook his head.

"No, I didn't, but I can show you the pictures I took and you can see if you know him." Anthony brought out his phone from his jean pockets and put in the password.

He opened up the gallery and scrolled to the pictures he took on that day. She and Gwen both gasped when they saw who was in the pictures while Finn didn't seem fazed.

Anthony looked between them, "Do you recognize him?"
