2.5.19 Where Are You?
*Knock knock
"Yeah" I said swiveling around towards my studio door to see Jungkook popping his head inside.
"Hey Namjoon? Is Mandi-Beth in here" He said turning his head side to side.
"Um no... Why?" I said casually turning my back to him while continuing to focus on aligning my lyrics along with the music.
"Just cause. It's no emergency. I'll keep looking" Jungkook said shutting the door.
~~~ A few seconds later.
"Ugg!" I said ripping my headphones completely off my head. To stand up, making my way out the door.
Down the hallway. I paused briefly at Yoongi's studio but deciding against it. I continued down the stairs walking past Jin in the kitchen but not seeing anyone in there. I walked around the corner down the hallway to the dance studio.
"Hey, Namjoon. 👋" Tae, Jimin and Hoseok said in unison. "What's up?" Hoseok said.
"Nothing just stopping by to check and see if you guys needed anything" I said glancing around.
"Are you sure?" Tae said eyeing me. "Yeah, I'm sure. Why?" I asked. "Cause Jungkook just came in here a little while ago just... "checking in" but was looking around just like you're doing right now" Jimin said.
"Oh did he now. Where did he go?" I inquired.
"We didn't ask. I thought he was coming to practice but I guess not" Hoseok said waving me off.
"Okay well. I'm off to see to Jungkook's whereabouts" I said turning on my heel and shutting the dance studio door.
Walking back up the hallway. I briefly stopped to lean against the wall. Where is she.... and where'd Jungkook go? I pondered as I tapped my right foot on the ground.
Continuing and walking past Jin in the kitchen. When he called out, "Namjoon dinner will be ready in an hour..."
"Okay, Jin. Uhh when was the last time you saw Jungkook?" I inquired.
"I don't know. I'm cooking and I don't have time to keep up with the maknae at the moment". He said waving me away.
~~~Outside Jungkook's studio.
I raised my fist and knocked on his door. Waiting and listening without hearing anything from within. I opened the door while calling out, "Jungkook?". Looking around the inside of his studio. I saw he wasn't there. So I shut the door and continued up the hallway. To again stop at Yoongi's studio.
Giving a good knock and waiting for a short period of time. I was about to give up when it opened.
"Jungkook?" I said
"Shh" 🤫 he said waving me inside.
"What are you doing in here?" I asked with my gaze falling on the sleeping form of Mandi-Beth.
"Looking for her but she's asleep" Jungkook said sitting down on the floor in front of Mandi-Beth. He continued, "Have you ever seen her asleep?"
"No I can't say I have" I said bending down into a squatting position beside Jungkook.
"You guys are weird and isn't that a little creepy"
We both looked up at Yoongi after he made that comment. To look amongst ourselves in comparison to our distance from Mandi-Beth.
Both jumping up and backing away.
"Uhh. Im going to go play over watch" Jungkook said with a blush creeping up the side of his neck. He turned on his heel and left the studio.
"Soo. How long has she been in here" I inquired while wringing my hands.
"Hmm. I don't know she has been coming in here for a couple of months now, when I'm composing" Yoongi said as he fixed a cup of instant coffee.
"Really..." I said looking a Yoongi.
"Yeah I was just curious where you were 🤔 and so was Jungkook." I said
"Oh really? Where is he then?" She asked looking around the studio.
"Oh he said he was going to play over watch." I said while throwing a thumb over my shoulder.
"Oh ok. I'll go see him then" She said getting up from the couch.
"Oh by the way Yoongi. Jin said dinner will be ready in about an hour.."
"Okay" he said sitting back down at his desk.
"Oh, Namjoon!?!" Mandi-Beth spoke suddenly ,"After dinner are you gonna still help me with [insert a language you would like to learn]?"
"Sure, Mandi-Beth" I said.
