Chapter 11:

Both his mother and Samsha were laid down with about a meter and a half of distance. While Xian and mister Chu were ready, looking like bandit surgeons since actual doctor mask aren't a thing, it was more of a bandana. The first step was to determine exactly where the meridians were missing and how much. For the record, Xian also prepare spiritual stones and a bin of water, in the occasion it could be needed. So, Xian approach his mother who had her neck meridians shut off in advance; this also seem to affect her breathing and since it was already weak our little protagonist was even more pressured in trying to go fast. But he knows that nothing good come from being impatient which is why he carefully examine her wounds and slowly distributed Qi to highlight her meridians. Since almost all her muscles were atrophy her meridians were very thins but since her skin was so dried we could easily see the dim light. Her right side was relatively fine especially compare to her left shoulder where the Qi flow was a complete mess. At first, he was convinced that this was the problematic part, but doctor Chu brought to his attention that his mother got hit on the lower back. Once they had turned her on her side it appeared evident that the real problem was there.

- "After getting hit your mother recovered suspiciously quickly from such an heavy wound, most likely what happened is that her meridians didn't grew back but sealed themselves prioritizing the muscles and bones. Meaning that when she started cultivating again her Qi created an enormous amount of pressure and when she tried circulating it, that pressure accumulated and burst out of her left shoulder liberating massive amounts of heat which resulted in her blood to, literally, boil her alive."

- "She must have suffered so much…" – said Xian saddened

However, this brought even more risks to the table. Her left shoulder meridians could be left aside since those would heal with the fruit, no, the real problem was the operation site, being so near to the base of her spinal cord meant that any false move and Xian could destroy her nervous system and leave her paralyze; same goes for Samsha. In addition, the missing part of meridian was about double the size of his experiment.

- "Are you sure you can do this?"

Without answering Xian walk to Samsha and proceed.

- "I will make an incision along his back/side on the left and then remove is revealed meridians while I do this I want you to sponge the blood that will accumulated with a new cotton every time and when I will tell you, you will crush the spiritual rock and mix them with the water."

Of course, first thing first the shaving of the beast. Xian didn't want to take chances, so he shaved the entire back of Samsha and part of his bottom. The fur was messy and very resistant it took him a while to safely expose the skin. Once that was done he repeated the same procedure as always and reveal the spinal cord and lower back muscle of Samsha. Doctor Chu seem very interested by what Xian was doing and started to intrude resulting in Xian calling him back to his sense with a "light" elbow to the side.

- "The meridians seems to be fusion with the spinal cord, I will need to open the back muscle here."

- "You are along the L1 and the L2 vertebrae and the muscles you are about to open are called the thoracolumbar fascia and the erector spinae."

Xian nod to say thank, it come to no surprise that Xian isn't really knowledgeable on the name of each muscles and the complexity of the bone structure. After all this is over he will have to study carefully if he wants to repeat such a stunt. Anyway, now that the way was clear the grind to completely expose the meridians and extract them, was about to start. However, unlike last time Xian was about to extract 6cm of meridians which is a bit more than double. Xian took deep breaths not only this was probably going to ruin Samsha cultivation, but any false move might kill him or leave him paraplegic. Even thought this is starting to feel like a broken record, nervousness just wouldn't leave Xian alone, his hands were shaking, and his shoulders were tightened.

- "You won't be able to continue like this." – said doctor Chu

Xian tried to ignore is warning because this wasn't like he had a choice and stopping now would definitely means accepting his mother's death. But the doctor stop his hand and said:

- "Little master close your eyes and slow down your heart beat that will regulate your breathing and relax your arms."

Control my heart beat?.. OH! I could use the destroyer of gods to do this. I originally only thought it could upgrade my stamina, but it can definitely help here. I'm so stupid, since I've returned from the cave I've been doing so much odd stuff that I stop thinking like who I am: a cultivator!

- "Thank you. Let's do this."

For 10 hours straight, Xian methodically scrape each layer of skin and bone all the while dodging each nerves, dendrites and neurotransmitters. This felt like a maze because contrary to popular belief the meridians are not completely straight they run along the nerves and veins of the body. Plus, when you separated them you need to be extra careful since we are talking about micrometers of leeway. Had Xian been one cultivation tier lower the operation would have been a total failure. Doctor Chu was completely subjugated by the intense concentration and the precision of each movements the little master was executing; truly, this little one did not steal is reputation of being absolutely, incredibly talented.

- "Ok, go crush the stones while I cut this meridian out."

After he stitch back the muscle and stop the overflow of Qi he closed the open wound. Xian washed his blade and changed patient. Luckily her breathing didn't worsen but it felt very weak, he was worried that she might not be able to handle the operation on her back. Xian had watch medical dramas like everyone else in the other world but it's not like he could simply pop a respirator out of existence because he once saw one on T.V. On the other hand, he could force her throat and lungs to not collapse with magic; preferably he would help the consumption of oxygen by furnishing an higher concentration in the air available like a normal respirator but selecting the correct gas in the air is impossible because he can't differentiate between them. Furthermore, there is no guarantee the air is filled with the same gas in this world. He instruct his assistant to make sure she could still breath all the while he will operate on his mother.

- "Ok, making an incision around the same area on the lower back."

First step was to reveal the meridians ends where he would attach the new organ. At the same time, Xian had to identifies the positions of the veins and nerves so he could reattach it to these. Once the excavation was done, about 3 hours in, our cultivator command doctor Chu to bring Samsha meridian and the truly hard part begin. Because like anything in life destroying it is always easier than repairing it. So, it is with extreme concentration and precision that Xian attack this task; this was no walk in the park but by now Xian had forgot his surrounding, he was determined and confident in each and every movements. It goes to say that, even though, this operation took him 20 hours without stop, it was a success. However, Xian did found troubles in stitching some nerves and veins but since he had more than needed meridian part (about 4cm was necessary) he use the excess to patch those troubles. Finally, he close the wound on his mother back and gave her the heavenly water fruit. Just like with the monkey, we could already observe some effects: one, her breathing became easier and second, when Xian insert a small amount of Qi in her meridians the messes that appeared previously were nowhere to be seen. Relieve that all of this was finished Xian ordered doctor Chu that was nodding and drooling in the corner to go fetch his servant and to tell him to take care special care of Samsha to make sure the beast doesn't try to cultivate whatsoever and to tell his father that the operation was successful. Doctor Chu called some people in and they took care of everything. On the other hand, Xian walk out on the balcony both exhausted and drunk on his new-found success he look at the night sky and pledge loud and clear:

- "HAHAHA I'LL LEARN ALL THERE IS TO LEARN, UNDERSTAND EVERY MATTER AND POSSIBILITY, I'LL ACQUIRE KNOWLEDGE THROUGHOUT EVERY REALMS MAKING MY NAME SYNONYMOUS OF RESPECT AND ADMIRATION, MAKING PEOPLE BOW TO MY IDEALS AND, AND, AND I'LL FUCK ALL THE BITCHES! HAHAHA."

As he said those last words, he left himself fall on the ground with both his arms open and as he was falling asleep he added:

- "Hey, I know the last part is less chivalrous but that's who I am and that's what I like…"
