Chapter 2

So I'm inside a small carriage that can fit at least 5 people's inside... I said carriage but it doesn't really have any horse that pulls it.

When I asked Shizuka about what it was.

She said it was called a car and started explaining to me its basic functions.... Uhh yeah I didn't get the how's and whys about it its really out of the ordinary for me so I just dismissed it by just saying that its a magically running by itself.

Just earlier we got out of the building and ran around the streets for awhile to look for food, but sadly we couldn't find any nearby place that has food and we were already attracting quite a big attention from the undeads as I try to fight off the undeads approaching us, Shizuka and Fumi Speeded up their pace and was trying to look for something.

And finally they stopped in front of a 'car' thing. When Shizuka entered the strange vehicle started rumbling, it stirred my instincts to be on my guard but Fumi just pushed me into the vehicle.

After Fumi entered and sat at one of the front sit the strange vehicle started moving as fast as a running horse.

And returns as at the current situation.

"Youre seriously good at fighting Al, maybe you were some kind of a big shot when the world was still normal" Shizuka conversed

"Hahahahaha! yeah maybe I was!" I just laughed it of with a smile.

"We should look for a convenience store so that we can get some supplies" Fumi said.

"Yeah, I remember one just right around this area"

Shizuka approved and looked around the sides.

"Sorry to ask this but what's a--"

I was just about to ask what was a convenience store but Shizuka seemed to have already know whatbi was gonna ask.

"Its a store where you can get your daily needs"

"Okay I get it" I answered.

Then I proceeded to ask again.

"Say, is there a chance that there are also weapons in that store?" I asked.

"Well it depends" Shizuka answered.

"Ah! there it is"

She then took a right turn and as expected there were a lot of undeads sorrounding the building.

The tube like thingies are already bent and twisted and might not hold out any longer that's why I'm looking for a new weapon.

But it seems I just need to make use of it for awhile.

I stepped out of the 'car'.

"the building we're going in is that one" Shizuka pointed to a building I with a big blue sign.

"Alright"

"GRAGHG!" One

"GARAGHHA!" two

"KSKGRAHK" Three.....

..... Thirty-one

That should be all of the undeads that is sorrounding the building, the undeads can walk very slow but some of them can run and jump at amazing power.

the jumping undead's used the walls as platforms to launch themselves towards me.

To be honest it caught me by surprise first, but as a seasoned adventurer I quickly adapted and adjusted according to the situation.

the entrance of the store is made out of a see-through glass.

I moved myself forward in the glass entrance, looked inside and counted the undeads.

1.. 2.. 3.. And 9, 9undeads huh that's odd the outside was so crowded and yet there are only 9 undeads inside.

I tried to reach for a handle but.... Uhh how do I open this? it has no handle, I tried to push it but it can't be pushed. It seems to be a sliding door but there is no handle.

"it won't open because there is no electricity"

Shizuka Spoke.

Huh will if there's one thing I learned being an adventurer it's that if it can't be opened then destroy it until it opens.

I raised my right hand and used Herculean Strength, and with just one swing I broke the glass door to pieces now it's open but in return one of my tube thingies finally gave up.

Fumi and Shizuka were staring at me with mouths agape. I ignored them and quickly proceeded to kill the 9 undead's inside.

Two undead's came running towards me, I threw the tube from my right hand at one of the undead's face which made the undead fly backwards by 3 feet.

The other one got close to me. I didn't have enough time to swing my left so I just used my fast right hand to punch the left side of undead's face. The undead was sent flying a few meters away and crashed on the wall.

The other undead's seem to have noticed me because the remaining 7 undead's ran towards me or to be exact 3 were jumping towards me while the other four ran towards me.

There was a shelf that contains small cylinder containers near my left. I took one cylinder and throwed it to one of the jumping undead's face with pinpoint accuracy.

"GWAUGH!?.. " was its last word and fell to the ground.

the other two was also got by my next attack and they both fell down. The four running undead's gets close to me at the same time. Relying on my reflexes and experience I kicked one undead in the chest, it flew away and smashes its own head in the wall due to impact.

Took a huge left swing and hit the other one with the tube, I punch the other one in the face .

"phew"

Just to make sure that there are no more undead's I ran around and checked every corner of the place.

(well I guess there are no more undead's huh? we should be safe now)

"everything's clear now, we should just cover the entrance with some of the shelves and we should be fine" I said

I couldn't see Fumi around so she might have already walked around to gather some supplies.

"Wait... there were nine zombies right?" Shizuka asked

"Yes" I replied

"And four of them were runners and three were jumpers right?"

(So that's what you call them)

"yes"

"How... how did you take them all down in less than 4 seconds?"

"..... "

"I know you can beat hordes of them but still beating 9 zombies in 4 seconds just doesn't seem to be huma- hey wait!"

I walked away when she got to the 'beating' part.

I need to look for weapons to use.

"Al-kun if you're looking for weapons try looking around there" I was surprised when Fumi suddenly appeared behind me, she's like an assassin I didn't even detected her despite being an S-rank.

She pointed at a corner were in my assumption is the reception desk just like the ones in the adventurers guild and inns.

I thanked Fumi and started walking towards it.

I found a blunt weapon made out of metal, but despite being metal it was light and clearly durable(baseball bat).

The next thing that I found were bags much bigger than what Fumi was carrying around.

I took the bags and gave one to Fumi And Shizuka, I also carried a small version of the bags too.

"... " Theres a man here with a hole in his head and is holding one of those "gun" thingies obviously he's dead no doubt about that.

...

While I was walking around looking for something useful I stumbled with a blue door with some dents in it and blooded-hand prints.

I walked closer to it pushed it using Herculean Strength. I entered and saw things scattered such as those cylinder metal thingies and some food.

And thats how I found a dead body of a man.

I took away the "gun" and inspected the man.

He had a bite Mark on his right hand but it was just so small you won't even notice it if you don't look closer.

"He killed himself before he could turn into a zombie huh?"

"Wha-?" I heard a faint voice from behind, I quickly turned around and raised my weapon.

"eek!! sorry!"

oh it was just Fumi, please stop appearing out of nowhere you seriously surprised me.

There was only one person who can sneak behind me unnoticed and it was our very own party member Rogue he was once an assassin from a ruined country

in our world. But now there are two people who can sneak behind me huh?

"sister was worried about you so we split up and tried to find you since you haven't returned yet, and I saw you entering this room" Fumi said.

"Haahh... please don't go behind me unannounced next time" I warned her.

if this keeps happening I might literally end up hitting her In the face.

"I'm sorry" Fumi apologized.

let's change the subject.

"So this guy committed suicide huh?" I turned to look at the dead body once again.

"Yeah he was bitten but it seems it was to small to cause emediate harm so he still had a couple of days before he fully becomes a zombie, then when he felt that he was already losing control of his body he did himself in"

wow! that was quite a deduction right there! Fumi must be a genuis! or is it just me who can't figure something like that out.

"Ah! There you are quickly follow me you need to hear this" Shizuka suddenly arrived.

we followed her just as she wanted we arrive at the place where we piled the bags. And I the floor was a small black rectangular box with a silver stick at its left side, it has a circle thing and a horizontal bar has some lines in it at its front. (it was a radio)

"Hello?" suddenly the black box started talking.

"Hello? if any survivor can hear this..... "

To summarize things the voice from the black boxed said they have secured a safe place to live in and are telling all other survivors to go there. It was sketchy I didn't really believed the voice and my gut is telling me that something isn't right. So I suggested that we shouldn't go but the other two had a different opinion.

"Lets go"

And thats how it is.

The sun is about to set, and we've been traveling for hours now.

it's kind of cramped here in where I'm sitting because of the bags so I can't move around. I can't sleep either for some reason.

"Let's stop here for now" Shizuka stopped the car in front of an old cabin in the woods.

After confirming that it was safe to go inside

Shizuka and Fumi took out three of those cylinder things.

"... "

and opened it.

Inside was.... Food?

wait why is there inside that thing?

"umm... here's yours"

Fumi handed me one of the cylinders, the delicious smell reached my nose and stimulated my appetite.

"U-use this spoon" Fumi gave me a spoon.

Mmmmmmmmm!!!! its delicious! very delicious! how is this possible?! how can a food that was inside this cylinder delicious?!

I didn't really mind if it tastes like dry jerky or something, but this! this is really delicious! This is the first time I tasted something like this! I can taste the chicken in it.

"you sure look like youre in heaven or something" Shizuka commented

"... "

"uhh Fumi? can you stop staring at me? please?"

Fumi was concentrating her eyes towards me and it really makes me uncomfortable.

"... "

"Fumi? Hello~~~? "

"Ah!? sorry" She quickly turned around and apologized.

"Its nothing, though can you tell me why you were staring at me?" I asked Fumi

"I-its just umm.. it's the first time you really looked relax and your face is.. is..-"

*CLAP*CLAP*

"Okay! its time for us to get some rest"

Fumi quickly nod her head saying that she agrees.

I volunteered to take the guarding duty for the night since I can't sleep for some reason. I keep feeling goosebumps ever since we left the store.

They only have one moon here not like from where I came from, we have Three moons which pretty much illuminates the night sky every night, the only time when night is so dark is when winter is about to come.

"¿This ₩orld is quite unique isn't it¿"

"Whoa!!"

I picked up my blunt weapon and pointed it towards the source of the voice.

"--- be^en a₩hile, loong time nu si Alsyel"

I saw a dark figure holding a scythe in its shoulder his clothes was a dark cloak, crimson eyes and hair with handsome and menacing looks, it was my very own Grim Reaper.

"d@mn ¡t! da Tran$£ati0n Majik isn't woorking w€ll"

Truth be told his manner of speaking isn't really a problem to me, I can understand him well enough even if he uses my world's language.

"Its fine I can understand you either way"

"0K4¥"/"okay"

Huh so I can hear two languages simultaneously, I'll just focus on one language.

"Its rare to see you just relaxing when your death is near"

Yeah, Grim Reapers only appear when your about to die..... Wait WHAT?!.

"Judging from your face you didn't notice huh? well in this world you might not have felt it. I mean magic here is very scarce after all and the spirits in this world doesn't even care what happens to the inhabitants. they won't even bother sending warnings that something bad is about to happen."

"wha-"

"Heres a hint; magic might be scarce but some skills that are not directly influenced by magic can still be used to some extent."

"You mean like skills that can be acquired physically and through experience like my Herculean Strength and poison resistance?"

"yup yup that's right, though you can still unlock the other skills that are grayed out"

What does he mean? I can use the skills that are grayed out? how?

"How do you use the skills again?" I tried asking the grim reaper.

"oops! I said too much! anyway bye bye!" he waved his hand and vanished.

"what does he mean by me about to die?"

(CRISIS DETECTION)

I activated my skill, This skill is like a map that pinpoints the enemy and it feels like my senses such as eyesight, smell, hearing, and touch are being scattered around.

My face paled, my face was as white as milk, I felt my blood draining from my face, every single hair in my skin stood up screaming danger and my strength momentarily left me and I fell down to my knees.

"oi oi oi oi! what's with that thick hordes of undead's!?"

what I found out with my skill are thick hordes of undead's approaching our position.

(Thats at least 506 undead's! how is that even possible!?)

I can beat at least 1 thousand strong army but that's when I still got all my skills! Right now I only have 1/4 of my skills to be used and not to mention they were weakened!

100 undead's might have been reasonable but anymore than that I'll be overwhelmed.

"we need to get out of here fast!"

My strength finally returned to me, I stood up and ran towards the cabin.

"Shizuka! Fumi! wake up we need to go now!"

Shizuka was the first one to wake up.

"Mhhmm.... what's with the ruckus Al-kun?"

"Something is coming this way we need to run now!"

"Huh? come on don't be so paranoid, maybe you just lack sle-"

"GRAGGHHGGGAGG!!!!!!"

Shizuka's sentence was cut by a very loud roar from afar.

(that can't be right! they were miles away from us there's no way we can hear their roars from here!)

"Wha-!? what's happening?!" Fumi woke up due to the roar.

"No time to explain! we need to get away from here as fast as we could!"

"right!"

After packing up our things we quickly left the forest.

*CRASH*BREAK*

"KSHAAA!!!"

"Kyaaa!!!" Shizuka and Fumi screamed.

"son of a Lich!"

"KSHAAA!!"

"oh hell you dont!"

I punched the undead that went through the back window in the face causing it to fall down on the ground head first.

"how in the world did that undead got here?"

I looked at the direction where the undead came from and....

"ggraaah!"

"khsii"

"khshaa"

three undeads are flying! their freaking flying! wait no its more like their being catapulted to the sky...their being thrown to the sky?!

The three undeads are quickly descending from the sky and is about to crash at our vehicle.

The first undead crashed to the ground head first with a loud splat and crash. The second one almost crashed on the vehicle and the third landed on the roof of the vehicle causing a curve on the roof.

"What was that?!" Shizuka screamed.

"How in the hell did that undead able to land on us!?"

both the other two undeads would have landed in the vehicle if Shizuka hadn't accelerated due to being surprised.

"GROOOOOOORRRRR!!!!" A loud roar from the direction where the undeads are from.

of course it would, there should be something that is throwing the undeads our way right?

yup I was right! A large figure standing at least 3-4 meters tall thats all I can make out of it since its at least 2 miles away from us and so are the remaining 502 army of undeads.

The large figure picked up another undead and thrown the undead to the sky..and another one...and another one.

Three undeads are now falling from the sky and from what I can see all of it are gonna land on the roof again, How the hell is that "thing" even able to hit us from there!?..

"Shizuka! Drive faster!"

"okay!"

As soon as she said that the vehicle accelerated causing me and Fumi to yelled in surprise.

"what's with those zombies how can they fly?" Shizuka asked

"Their being thrown to the sky" I commented.

"Their being what!? how?"

"sister! look there's something that's throwing them!" Fumi screamed.

That "thing" has to be strong and smart to be able to throw and hit us with undeads.

"What the hell? is that a new evolution? but that's impossible! the virus only can only boost physical strength and speed! it can't transform the host into something like that!"

Shizuka seems to know a lot about the undeads. In my world only the people who specializes on the undeads can know that much and they were called Necromancer; the ones who controls the dead. And if you're wondering if we have a necromancer in our party in the last world the answer is yes. We do have a necromancer and she was also our healer and mage, all of them were her specialty. She also kept telling me to stop using undead, she said something like "stop using undead! undead is only a type of being not its name, different undeads have different names! like a ghost! a ghost is an undead being but its name is GHOST! do you understand me?" like that, but I don't really care, undeads are undeads their all the same to me, especially that I am really bad at remembering names and faces.

enough commenting! three more undeads are being thrown again and more are being thrown. It's raining undeads literally!

"Shizuka try to slow down a little bit"

"Gotcha"

The first undead landed on the ground right in front of the car, Shizuka tried to dodge it by making a sharp right turn but that also caused our vehicle to stop.

"What the!?" Shizuka yelled.

"The car might have not been able to withstand the sudden turn, I'll go check it"

Fumi went outside and to the front of the vehicle, she opened the front part and started tinkering.

"you're reckless! there are still more of them falling from the sky! what the hell are you thinking!?"I told her but it seems she wasn't listening.

I also followed her trying to repel some undeads along the way, Shizuka also went out and helped Fumi.

This is bad at this rate the undeads might arrive before we can finish.

Suddenly all the scenery around me turned black and white, The surroundings went silent and the wind stopped.

"-5 minutes left before you die-"

the culprit was my Grim reaper, Who was standing behind me with its usual outfit.

"Seriously? you stopped the time just to tell me that?" I asked him.

"That is one of the reasons, the other one was to explain your circumstances. now let me get to the point; first is your body in this world, the body that you're using now is not your original body but one of the person of this worlds body that has the same facial feature and spiritual wavelength as your soul. It doesn't have the physical abilities of your previous body, so if you keep using your skills like herculean strength eventually that body well not be able to keep up and you won't be able to move or either find it very hard to control your movements. Second is about your skills, you can use them here in this world to some extent, and you may have already noticed this that some skill names are greyed out that indicates you can't use it, but a greyed out name only means it's temporarily unavailable and in order to use them again you need to just re-acquire them like for example you can re-acquire your fire resistance(small) by lightly burning your self once. Third is that to inform you and your comrades to not die in this world" He explained.

So I can only use this body to some extent huh? Its also a good thing that I can still use the greyed out skills but what does he mean buly the last part?

"Wait about the Third one what do you mean we can't die here? Why? And my Comrades are also Here in this world?"

"Yes your comrades are also here, but some of them might to take awhile before they wake up, and if you die in this world it will cause a disorder since your soul doesn't belong here in this world the Grim reapers here can't reincarnate or create a miracle for you or even collect your soul. That means your soul will have no where to go and do. Causing this world and the previous worlds spiritual balance to tip to the other side leading to some nasty things like more undeads showing up more souls that can't be reincarnated etc.."

He just added etc in the end! he just said something out of character for a Grim Reaper!

" So since you can't die in this world. I as your Grim Reaper, must not let you die so that means I'm gonna use miracles to help you escape your death. But don't rely on me to much just because I said can't have you dying, I can only preform miracles that does not cause to much change and interference for this world which means I can't bring you back from the dead, you understand me?"

"Yeah"

I understand most of it...most of it...maybe?

"Good, now go back to your initial position and I'll resume the time." The Grim Reaper said making a Shooing gesture witg his hands

"Okay... done"

"Good, and try not to die at least"

My Grim Reaper Disappeared and the sorroundings around me retained its usual colors, the wind started blowing, sounds can be heard again and the vibrations can be felt.

"Sister Pull out that wire there for a second"

"okay this one?"

"yes that one, and hold this thing for a sec"

I can hear Shizuka and Fumi talking hurriedly at the near the vehicle. I just need to protect them for now that's the only thing I can do. I'll just have to focus on hitting the incoming undeads.

4 minutes later...

*Engine starting*

"Yes it worked! hurry Fumi, Al Get inside!"

"yes!" Fumi Quickly moved to the side of the vehicle opening the door to the other front seat, and entered.

Alsyel quickly turned towards the car and started running towards it...

*BOOM!!*CRASH*KSHHH*CHING*

But suddenly a Large Figure appeared between him and the car in a blink of an eye.

The figure was 4 meters tall but its head was smaller than a normal persons, making it a very hard target, its body was full of bloody muscles, huge arms that can pick up one person in one swoop, even though its thighs and legs looked like they have exploded the figure was still standing as if it wasn't even a problem. Alsyel was surprised by the sudden appearance of the figure which caused him to pause in his position like I video that have been paused.

Despite its size it can still move relatively fast, it raised its hand and swiped it towards Alsyel with great force that was equivalent to a speeding cannon bullet.

Seemingly able to recover his senses Alsyel dodged the incoming swipe, he jumped 3 meters away from the figure but he didn't escape perfectly as his t-shirt was now tattered in the front and his skin started turning red.

"Agk *cough*cough* haaa....haaaa.."(heavy breathing)

---Ahhh!! it hurts! It's hand definitely hit me! I gotta praise myself for not falling unconscious. My Grim Reaper definitely pulled some strings, if he hadn't my insides would have painted the ground red right now---

Alsyel endured the pain as he fell down to his knee.

*BANG*BANG*

Two loud noises came out from a small hand held metal long range weapon.

"Graaaghh" the large figure turned around the vehicle, exposing its face further to the.

*BANG*BANG*

One bullet went through the large figure's forehead causing it to stop in its tracks.

"Yes! It's just as dumb as the other zombies"

Shizuka yelled in triumph.

"SHIZUKA!! DRIVE!!" Alsyel screamed deperately.

"Eh?"

"GRAGGHHHF!!!"

The large figure raised its right arm attempting to swipe its arm down on the car.

----I won't make in time! even if I do how am I gonna stop its arm from landing on the vehicle? I have to save them somehow!--

"Huh!? I can't my legs!"

----Is this what he meant by using my skills to much? I did use my skill trying to dodge its swipe did I unconsciously used to much force?---

"BRAGGGGHHHH"

"Shit!"

*BANG*BANG*CRACK*CRACK*SLASH*

"Eh?" Alsyel stood surprised showing a very confused face.

"yo! What's with your face? you look very pale" a happy cherry voice came from a slender body of a girl.

"Fumi? no wait..Rogue!? is that you?"

"Bingo!!"
