Chapter Ten: The Search for Amber

The weekend finally arrived, and it couldn't have come any sooner, because of the newly formed "Operation: Saving Amber Banks" group of Sam, Kim, Travis and his girlfriend Krystal. They knew that time was on their side. But something wicked lied in the dark; just waiting for the group to slip up and fall apart. Ms. Chambers of course had other plans to handed. She wasn't going to let some high schoolers and their junior high preteens ruin her plans in keeping Amber to herself. Oh, no, Ms. Patterson was going to keep her all to herself, until her last dying breath.

Chambers opened the hidden doorway that lending towards her punishment room; where Amber was being held; against her will. Suddenly with little to no strength that she has left in her body, she lifts her head and spots Chambers by the entrance way. She crawled towards her and places her hands onto the railing of the prison door.

"Ms. Chambers, why are doing this to me? I think I learned my lesson by now. please let me go!!!" asked Amber, with little strength that she has left in her voice.

"Awe, my poor little troublemaker, you think I'm just going to release you; because you told me to? What kind of fool you take me for Amber! Shouted Chambers. "I'm not letting you go until you really learned your lesson; in ever betraying me."

(Amber coughs) "Please just let me go! And I promise I won't mention any of this to anyone."

"No matter how many times you try to please or beg; you're never getting out of this fucking punishment room over my dead body you little twerp" shouted Chambers once more towards Amber.

"Be careful in what you wish for Ms. Chambers; you might get what's coming to you; if you don't watch your back. Just like what happened to your little brainwashed puppet Sarah. I know deep down in my broken-down heart, that my friends are looking for me." said Amber.

Ms. Chambers looked close into Amber's eyes and saw little flashes of light; glowing from within her. Like something was growing inside of her, and it was getting ready to be unleased. She backed away slowly; as Amber reached her arm towards her. She felt a powerful tight pressure around her very neck; like someone was choking her. Chambers fell to the ground; trying to gather her breath once again. Amber fell backwards; conscious and motionless, with little breaths coming from her mouth. Chambers couldn't believe in what she just witnesses, and quickly stormed towards the bookcase in the teachers' lounge and slammed it closed behind her.

"What the fuck was that? Said Chambers; with a confused look on her face. "That wasn't the girl that I threw into that punishment room. Oh no, that was something completely different. This isn't good at all. What have I done?"

Hours went passed and Amber finally came around and opened her eyes, and saw that Chambers was gone. She got up from the floor and started to find a way to get out of the punishment room; with little to no strength that she has left inside of her body. Suddenly from behind her, she started to hear a familiar voice from once before.

"Amber, where are you? I can't see you anymore."

"Who's there? Jackson is that you? Or are you Mikal?"

"You can call me whatever you like Amber, I shouldn't have left you behind like this. If I knew that this was going to happen to you." Said Jackson's voice.

"I told you to leave, because I didn't want you around anymore. How can you keep such a secret from me like that Jackson? That you were Mikal all this time." Asked Amber.

"I didn't want you to be afraid of me Amber, so that is why I kept the secret from you all this time, until now. I was your savior; your everything. Now I can't save you, because I have no idea where you are."

"Well since you are here, I'm in Chamber's punishment room. She's keeping me as her prisoner until I learned my lesson and suffer my punishment," said Amber, as she walked towards Jackson's voice.

"Amber I'm sorry…"

"I don't need to hear any more of your apologies Jackson! I only already heard them all from you. I thought you loved me?"

"I do love you Amber; with all my heart and soul. I will never stop loving you."

"Idk if I should believe you Jackson. I mean, I want to believe you; but I just can't." Amber said to Jackson.

"Amber I'll make you a promise; that you will see the light once again, and I'll deliver a message to your friends and tell them where to find you. Just give me this last chance, if this plan doesn't work; I'll leave you alone forever."

"And what if this plan of yours does work?"

"I want you to come with me Amber, because you are in great danger." Said Jackson.

"Why am I in danger?"

"Do you even remember what happen when you attacked Ms. Chambers?"

"No not really. Everything went black after I saw here sitting on the ground."

"Amber, there is something growing inside of you, and it can change who you are as a person forever."

"What's growing inside of me Jackson? Spill it now!" asked Amber.

"Okay, it's called a hybrid spirit; mixed with my light energy and Sarah's dark energy. Our energies must have entered inside of your body when I was fighting with Sarah inside of the park that night. What I just witnessed was Sarah's dark energy coming out of you when you tried to choke Ms. Chambers. I need to get it out of you, before it begins to take over your mind." Said Jackson.

"Hmm, maybe I like having this power inside of me Jackson. it's something I can use to finally take down Chambers."

"Amber this isn't you, the hybrid spirit already adapted to your body. I need to hurry before it takes full control of you."

"Jackson? please hurry…tell my friends where I am. Ms. Chambers punishment room is in the teacher's lounge, behind the bookcase…" (Amber collapsed onto the floor; conscious and motionless once again.)

Jackson received the message and teleported back to his body, that was sitting on top of the hillside; that sat outside of town. He hurried towards his car, and drove towards Amber's house; to warn the others about Amber.

While at the Banks house, Travis and Krystal were gathering a few supplies from his parent's garage, while Sam and Kim were going over the plans once again. Krystal walked over and gave Travis and big kiss on the cheek; Travis turned to her and smiled.

"What was that for?" Asked Travis.

"For acting tough and in charged with your sister's friends. Sigh, when did my sweet little boy toy turn into a strong man?" said Krystal.

"Lol, I learned it from the best."

"Aww, Travis you shouldn't have."

"Gosh babe, your making me blush," said Travis.

"Anything else that's make you…" asked Krystal.

"Whoa babe, not in here."

"Oh, come on Travis, I liked it when you did that thing to me last time you were at my house. When my parents weren't home, and you did…"

"Quiet it! I don't want my sister's friends hearing about that." Said Travis, as he grabbed the bag from the ground.

"Travis you're like fourteen years old for Christ sake, are you afraid in what some older girls are going to say?

"No, but what happen during our alone time it meant to be secret, and its only practice, until we do the real thing when we're older." Said Travis.

"Okay fine."

(Travis kisses Krystal.)

"Don't worry, we'll do more practice until this search is over."

"You promise Travis?"

"Yes babe, I promise."

As both Travis and Krystal exited the garage, Sam and Kim discussed the plan once more in how they were going to find Amber, and how they are going to take care of Ms. Chambers. Operation: Saving Amber Banks was almost complete; with a few tweaks, here and there. Travis and Krystal enter the kitchen and spots the girls at the table.

"Ah Travis and Krystal their you guys are; did you get the supplies that we needed for the operation?" asked Sam.

"Yup we did, so did you girls go over the whole operation while we were gone?" asked Travis.

"Yea we did, so what happens when we do find Amber? Where do we keep her? so Chambers doesn't try and find her again?" asked Kim.

"Well I have that one planned out as well. Since she already knows this houses location and possibly Sam's house and Krystal's house. I was thinking keeping her safe inside of my grandparents boarded up house that sits outside of town. She will never know that Amber will be there." said Travis.

"Hmm that sounds like it might work." Said Kim.

"Might work? Oh, girly it will work!" shouted Krystal.

"Who you think you calling girly? Little lady!"

"Oh, you better not be calling me little, you stupid…"

"Whoa Krystal, relax. You almost went overboard. Save that anger for the operation." Said Travis. "We need to stay focused here and do this for Amber. She's counting on us. Now, you two say you're sorry."

I'm sorry. Both said Kim and Krystal.

"Now let's get back down to business now…"

(Suddenly, there was a knock on the door.)

"Now who can that be?" said Travis, as he opens the door. "Who are you?"

Sam walks over towards the door. "No way… Jackson Cooper?"

"I'm glad I got to you guys before you went to the school."

"Why are you here Jackson?" asked Sam.

"It's about Amber. She's alive…"
