While Xilo was reading his story Xelfia continued her own
To identify which Astral Path or Paths you were given was quite simply from the explanation she read from the book. If you have a Precision Astral Path the Astral Energy in your body is calm and and smoothly flowing throughout your body. For Attack Astral Path types your Astral Energy was more wild and crazy. Defense Astral paths tended to be heavier and denser than any other Astral Paths. Speed Paths had more lightweight Astral Energy while Balanced Types tended all the traits of the previous and Elemental types flowing through your body sporadically and finally the Elemental Type turned more of the Element you were given in your Astral Energy then others.
"Yep definitely Attack Path alright, I can feel that energy pulsing through me. I wonder how the other types feel compared to this?"
Unfortunately she would never find out unless other people with different Astral Paths told her and even then she still wouldn't be able to feel it for herself but while it did peak her interest there was nothing she could do to satisfy it. "Maybe Xilo will be another type then me and help." While the likelihood of him being a different type then her was substantially high it wasn't guaranteed. " Although Attack would definitely suit him..." Continuing reading she started on the section about what each of the types did and while each of them were pretty straightforward two types stood out as the most unique to her.
Precision and Elemental Astral Paths.
From what she had read generally people with Precision Paths were better at controlling their Astral Energy in their bodies and most went into Craftsmanship type jobs because of such things while people with Elemental Astral Paths tended to have a stronger Elemental abilities unlike others without. Though that wasn't to say Astral Paths only gave benefits unfortunately. Each different type while having their strengths all had weaknesses of their own which could spell doom in some scenarios.
Take for example the Attack Astral Path people tended to have stronger attacks yes but in return they end up with weaker defenses. Of course things like that can be supplemented with other things in return like Body Fortification methods and so on but it wasn't always easy for most people to get them from what Xilo had told her before. Another example is the Elemental Type. While they get stronger a affinity and power with their element they are also worse against their opposing elements as well compared to others.
"So then what's the best Astral Path to have?"
The answer she found and came to herself as well was none of them. It all depended on how people made use of them or what one they needed for certain situations. There was no "Best" one it all depended on the people themselves and while that didn't mean people didn't rank them you could still ignore that and do just as fine with something that people consider the "Worst."
"So much information, I wonder how many points I'll get at the end of this?"
Peeking up from her book to take a little break she looked towards Xilo reading his book only to notice an unusual look on his face and while it did pique her curiosity she ignored it figuring he was probably learning things he had never knew before just like her and went back to reading her book instead. The next section she wanted to take a look at that caught her attention and was something she didn't even have herself was the so called Astral Rings humans were giving when they reached the Transformation Stage.
"Xilo will have one, I think... so this is definitely a must know."
She knew Xilo wasn't fully human but that didn't mean he wasn't human so since unlike her he had a part of him that was human he was still most likely to obtain the Astral Ring the book talked about. If he ended up being any different then normal humans rings she wouldn't know yet but as long as it wasn't dangerous to him if such a thing did happen she didn't really care. With that she flipped the page and read on.
"Astral Rings are a Vital part of any human's or beasts path down the Astral road. wait...? Beasts Rings? why don't I have one if they exist?"
Reading ahead a little bit she continued to look for information about them but anything she read and skimmed she saw no information on Astral Rings for Beasts at all only humans and what they did."So when and how do I get my own then?" With that question left in her brain she went back to where she had left off reading and continued onwards. Reading she slowly learned that Astral Rings are something that will be permanently attached to you once you get one and while everyone has and gets them eventually most people keep them hidden because each Astral Ring is unique to the owner they were given to but they also make some things very obvious as well which could put people at a disadvantage in a fight.
The two biggest reasons why people keep them hidden at least before a fight is because it reveals the Element that your proficient with based on the colour of the ring and the shapes the Astral Rings take tend to give away the Astral Path you were given as well. Well the second reason might not be as obvious to people with little experience to anyone who can see the differences it's a pretty big detriment to that said person.
"Gotta make sure to warn Xilo about that, thankfully he didn't hit the Transformation Stage yet or that could have been bad potentially." Well he hadn't fought people in a while it still wasn't a good idea to be essentially swinging his personal information out in the open for everyone to see at the end of the day and in the future it would be a good thing for her to know as well when she eventually got her own Astral Ring.
"The most important part about Astral Rings is the effects that they give you as you continue to rank up on the Astral Road. Each rank up gives various abilities and changes to the Astral Ring as you grow stronger."
Reading she soon lost track of time. Eventually XIlo himself also came out of his stupor after finishing what he read as well.
"Oh boy...."
