Continuing their walk past all the people and getting closer and closer to inn the more nervous Xilo himself became about what was to come. He didn't quite know why but he felt like he was walking closer and closer towards a conversation that could drastically change everything. He wasn't sure what it was going to be about for sure but that didn't mean he didn't have a few vague idea's and whether or not he could properly handle dealing with the situation he would be in was a completely different story. "I mean I failed once before...." In short he simply had zero confidence in himself and each step was getting harder and harder for him to take.
It was a completely different fear from what he felt from fighting and honestly a part of him wanted to run away. But knowing that wouldn't get him anywhere in the end he was able to keep pressing on. "It won't be that scary right, get a hold of yourself. It's just Xelfia anyway. Idiot." burying his fears in the back of his mind he kept on walking with Xelfia beside him for the next couple of minutes until eventually reaching Dirshel inn.
"Whew, finally here."
With a deep exhale he let out as much tension as possible and pushed the door open to the now more familiar building and walked in. quickly walking in and paying the old man at the front desk he quickly rushed up stairs with Xelfia in tow. For the First time since meeting him he was happy the old man wasn't a talker. It made things a lot easier on him and unfortunately or fortunately Xelfia didn't make any conversation along the way besides a couple small acknowledgements when he spoke up as well. "I wonder what she's thinking about?" Was something he wondered but he was definitely not in the mood to ask just yet.
*Creak*
With the creak of the floor boards under him he arrived at their room after a couple of steps and walked inside with Xelfia following behind and shutting the door afterwards. Now finally alone with her in a room Xilo was even more nervous than before. Quickly looking around he tried to find something to quickly occupy himself but with nothing around to do such a thing with all he could do was pace back and forth until he eventually sat down on one of the beds.
Xelfia on the other hand was as calm as could be and because of that she was able to notice Xilo was acting extremely nervous even more so than before ever since they had left the library and seeing that made her a little sad seeing that but not knowing how to help she chose to keep quiet and hope that he could get over whatever he was bugging him on his own. She did think of some things to try and help but she didn't know if any would help especially after her last attempt in cheering him up went poorly. She had lost some confidence and it frustrated her quite a bit more than she expected. But since she knew now was probably going to be a serious talk with the way Xilo was acting. She went other to the opposite bed and sat face to face with him.
Unfortunately the past repeated itself as Xilo still didn't say anything for a couple of minutes trying to think of what to say. "Just come out with it already..haaa yea that's probably the best." with that he faced Xelfia and paused to take a deep breath as he began.
"Remember this is a request from the bet, Though honestly I won't force you to say anything in the end."
At the end of the day he didn't want to push someone to do something they didn't want to do so he said that as a reminder just to let her know she had a way out. But Xelfia had other thoughts and was ready for almost anything he asked from her. Though she had her limits of course.
"Don't worry so much, Just take your time and ask away."
With a more gentle tone then usual she attempted to cheer him up a little bit and maybe sooth his nerves a little and it seemed to work thankfully because she noticed Xilo's body lost some tension in it.
"If you say so."
"What I wanted to ask from this request...is well..."
"Is?"
"Well you remember the conversation last night?"
With a sneaking suspicion of what he wanted to talk about she answered him.
"Well it's about that. I wanted to know what was bugging you. that's all. It just bothered me and I felt I had to know."
Talking a little faster then usual he blurted everything out at once to get it over with and hearing that Xelfia knew what was coming. Releasing a sigh she thought about taking back her words about anything for a second but seeing how much he had agonized over it she knew it was probably best to talk to him about it. Even if she didn't know to go about talking about this was probably her best opportunity especially with Xilo's help. It could help her a lot in the end with all she had been feeling lately.
"well fine. You wanted to know what I was worried about right? Then what was that girl that day talking about when she said she loved you? What's it mean?"
Hearing that Xilo was at a slight loss of words. He had expected something along the lines of of why the girl would do such a thing or something similar. But he definitely didn't expect her to ask what she meant by love. Taking a quick second to think it over though it made sense. Xelfia was cut off from the world and other individuals in that sense so of course she wouldn't know such things and would probably only have a vague sense of what it was.
"So that's it...Huh,"
Maybe this would be easier then he thought it would be
