Momentarily stunned Xilo wasn't able to react after noticing Xelfia woke up from her daze. Thinking she was alright again he was about to back off of her since he no longer needed to attempt to carry her.But Xelfia had other plans for him apparently. She started to learn forward towards him and thinking that she was just going to mess with him a little bit as a prank he brushed it off as no big deal and let her do what she wanted to. Which ended in something he didn't think would happen in a million years, nor was he ready in the least. She brought herself forward and kissed him briefly. Surprised he was unable to react and stood stock still paralyzed with his brain turned off. Thankfully it didn't last long.
"Ahem. Your times up you two."
Both stunned at the voice behind them they quickly separated while jumping back in confusion and embarrassment. Standing behind them a couple of shelves back was the cloaked figure of a woman he had seen in the library a couple of times beforehand. But instead of being surprised or upset that she showed up Xilo was actually kind of grateful instead. If she didn't he wouldn't really know how to react to what just occurred and would have been stuck in an awkward spot and could potentially end up doing something he would massively regret in the end. So he silently thanked the women behind him and quickly composed himself turning to her.
*Cough*
With an awkward forced smile he spoke.
"Sorry about that, thanks for the reminder."
"I shouldn't have to remind you, But it's good that I did."
Unfortunately he still couldn't still any of her facial expressions nor could he tell any emotions in her voice still. She acted and talked with no emotions whatsoever so Xilo was at a loss on how she felt at the moment. "Hopefully not mad." He didn't want the person working at the library that he visited to be in a weird mood with him and while he didn't have any plans to come back for sure he never knew if he might need to show up again at some point and feeling that kind of mood with someone that would be here wouldn't be a very pleasant thing for him to experience. "Though she seems rather....Unique?"
He didn't want to judge people on first impressions and looks but that didn't mean his thoughts about the matter had bad intentions behind it either. He just couldn't help it. The women in front of him acted and appeared so different from other people he had seen around the city so far and the town he lived in, that it piqued his curiosity. Alas with her body facing him and the pressure he was feeling from her combined with Xelfia seemingly in her own world he knew it was probably time to get going instead of pursuing his curiosity. "Maybe I'll Meet her again, That'd be fun." Though if the woman under the cloak
knew his thoughts she would definitely think he was out of his mind.
"Hey Xelfia, we're leaving now come on."
Like Xilo thought the whole time he was dealing with the awkward situation he was forced into on all fronts Xelfia was still lost in her own world once again with her own thoughts. "What did I just do exactly?" Touching her lips she kept thinking about it and what impulse made her take such an action but she just kept looping back to the same thoughts. "It felt...interesting. I wonder if I can do it again." Well she didn't know what she did or why she knew she did have some interest in it and some got some enjoyment out of it as well. So if she had the opportunity to do it again she would. "Next time someone won't stop me though. Slightly frustrated that she was interrupted and completely oblivious to Xilo's feelings in the matter, Xelfia finally snapped out of it when she heard Xilo's voice calling for her once again.
"Hmm? You said something?"
With some mixed feelings in her voice she answered Xilo.
"Yes, It's time to leave and go back to the inn now that our time's up."
"Oh, I forgot about that, haha"
"Please kindly leave now. I'll take care of the books."
With the same voice as before the cloaked figure reminded them one last time. If they didn't she'd throw them both out without a second thought. Noticing the pressure she was exerting they both got up and began to leave now that they were both ready. Though Xelfia did notice something weird about her aura she quickly forgot about it and walked along with Xilo passing her.
"Hmph, Just a reminder if you're going to flirt. Don't do it in public."
After they walked past her she finally spoke up to Xilo in a voice that for the first time carried some hint of discernible emotion that sent shivers down Xilo's back and caused him to pick up his pace slightly. "So she did mind it after all." With that he refused to turn around or reply and quickly grabbed Xelfia's hand and continued onwards out of the Library. After a couple of minutes of walking they finally exited the building and faced the sun shining down on them that was slowly beginning to turn set. "Almost evening now. Well we were there for a while." It wasn't evening just yet but it was getting close and considering they had left when it was almost the afternoon it made sense.
Refusing to bring up what just happened for the moment Xilo turned to Xelfia to tell her of his plan.
"Let's go back to the inn okay?"
"Why the rush, we should still have some time."
"Because there's something I wanted to ask you about, remember? Also we.."
Trailing off he didn't know how to finish his sentence so he just left it as that and kept walking hoping she wouldn't ask any questions about it.
"Hmm. Okay if you say so, I wonder what you want from me so badly that you're so eager to hear it."
With a slight chuckle Xelfia had reverted to her old self and followed him back to the Dirshel Inn.
