In The Dead Of The Night

Time continued on as Xilo explored all the new changes that had happened to his body after hitting the third stage. Sadly he still couldn't fully enjoy them in the end regardless because Xelfia still didn't show any signs of waking up. He even asked Tearia's grandmother one day about it and she even said it was strange that she hadn't woken up yet which caused him further worries.

"Please wake up soon.."

That thought repeated in his head as he watched over her whenever he could while time continued to flow.

After talking with the Clan Leader that day Yilel completely locked herself in her room and shut herself off from the world for some time to think. The story she had heard that day had made her even more confused than ever before. Even when other people came to ask her to do jobs or to help them she refused to leave her room. The only time she ever chose to leave was at night where she would lurk around in the clan looking for something, anything that can maybe prove the Clan leader's story was wrong but no matter how many times and days she spent searching she couldn't find anything until about a month later when it finally reached the date near her birthday. The third month of the new year.

While snooping around after countless times at this point she was doing it just to fill the void of her endless time and to help break out of her room for some fresh air well she could. Near the Clan Leaders office where she was currently at she heard two voices speaking to each other loudly enough for her to hear a little bit. She didn't exactly know if it would help her at all but she figured it'd be worth a shot to eavesdrop on them especially considering the fact that she heard the Clan leader's voice as well. Stopping she crouched herself behind the wall that separated them and leaned her ear in straining to listen.

On this peaceful night the Clan Leader was alone in his office but instead of being worried like he was the past couple of months he was calm instead. He knew the day was approaching soon and that Althea would probably show up within the month or so but he finally was able to figure out a way to hopefully ease her rage when she figured out the situation. "However it's quite a big "If" really. Let's just hope she's in a good mood or doesn't freak out as much as I think she will." No matter how good his excuse was it was pointless once she got too angry. At that point it was just hopeless.

He knew that best since in the old days he had seen and even caused her anger while being on the receiving end of it many times because of his stupidity. So all that was left to do was hope that nothing too bad would happen. It was a lot better for his mental health to think like that instead of being a nervous wreck that couldn't think straight. Though maybe it was just him being calm before the storm came. Leaning back on his chair he watched the trees sway in the wind along with the nightfall.

He had just finished up his work for the day so he decided to take a quick break to ease a little of the tension in his body before he went to bed with his wife for the night. Then tomorrow he had to host a competition between the younger generation. He was worried about anyone getting injured but that was bound to happen when it came to fighting but he just couldn't help himself. He had seen them all grow up afterall.

"At least I'll be there to protect them in case anything happens."

He was confident in his strength to stop them which helped to think about.

"Oh ho. You think you can protect people? what an absurd joke coming from you."

Hearing an unfamiliar voice and not sensing anyone had entered his entire body tensed up as Astral Energy quickly travelled throughout his whole body as he spun around on his chair and fiercely stood up facing the entrance to his room but he didn't see anyone still. He felt a chill run down his spine at the sight. "Was it just my imagination? Or is someone playing tricks on me." Cautiously walking forward he kept his Astral Energy at the ready at all times as he looked around the room until he felt a hand grasp his shoulder suddenly.

"You think you can detect me? When did you become such a dreamer boy."

Backing up out of their grasp they let him go as he jumped backwards and launched a quick fireball in the direction only for it to land on nothing. Now he knew he was in trouble. Whoever it was, was obviously a lot stronger then him or better at stealth. But then he saw the figure finally appear as they took a seat at his desk looking perfectly relaxed almost as if they belonged there he became as still as a statue. Stunned at the sight he took in her long white hair that went past her shoulders down past her waist where he could no longer see it. Her seductive red eye's that sucked him into a trance while her playful smile lingered on her pink lips that left a dry taste in his mouth. It was the seductive face he had seen countless times in his dreams in the past but all they were to him today was nightmares. Fiercely trembling he broke himself out of his stupor as he looked at that arrogant woman sitting in his chair he spat out one single word angrily.

"Althea."

"Oh so you do remember me after all. Though that isn't too surprising.

With a smug grin she pointed the tip of her finger up in the air and looked at the fireball on top of it as she slowly swirled it around before calmly crushing it in her hand and looked back at the man in front of her.

"It really does make me happy that you remember me Keltie."

With a mocking purse of her lips she called out her favourite name for the man standing in front of her.
