After that a peaceful silence flowed between the two. Xilo had planned so many things to say in advance for when Xelfia woke up but when it actually happened everything went out the window and he had instead ended up kissing her. "Maybe I am an idiot." If Xelfia had gotten mad at him for that he would have been in a rough spot but thankfully she didn't. "Who knows maybe I could have ended up in a coma myself." Smiling at such a silly thought he turned to Xelfia and faced her with more seriousness this time around now that his emotions had calmed down a little.
"Ahem, Xelfia."
Millions of thoughts and emotions were running through Xelfia's mind. Whether it was about the dream she had before that she had seen endlessly or the way Xilo had acted just now. She could honestly barely comprehend it and simply put she was overwhelmed a little. But now with some time to think she pushed all the bad memories to the back of her head for now. Her dreams may have been right in some ways but in others they were completely wrong. Either way she was still growing and lots of things were still very new to her so it was expected..However before she could think any more about it Xilo spoke to her once again with that same voice she had missed so very much over the course of her dream.
"mmm.."
But besides a soft mumble nothing else escaped her mouth. She did feel a little weak right now but she brushed it off as nothing but her just waking up. A part of her knew she had slept a long time but that didn't mean she knew exactly how long.
"Well. Haha. sorry about that. I got a little excited."
Embarrassed with his actions he apologized.
"Sorry for what?"
In her mind she tried to think what he could be sorry about but nothing that she thought of came to mind except one thing.
"Are you talking about the fight with the undead? It's okay no need to be sorry. It was my fault after all."
"No, well I am also sorry for that but I meant the.....kiss...."
"Oh."
Xilo barely squeezed that out but Xelfia still heard him loud and clear.
"Don't be sorry, If I really wanted you to stop I could have thrown you around this city and back. Remember?"
With the same smile he was used to Xelfia teased him though he couldn't outright deny what she was saying. At the end of the day he was completely weaker then her and for a minute there he had almost forgotten that.
"I guess you're right. Though I have one other thing to say."
"Which is?"
"I'm sure you remembered when you confessed to me right."
Thinking back to that moment when she had confessed to him Xelfia blushed a little bit as she lost her composure slightly and leaked out a reply.
"I do and what about it?"
"Well, I don't think I was being honest to you..Or myself."
"...?"
Confusion swept past her face as she tried to understand him however Xilo answered that for her.
"I didn't exactly give you a reply at the time or at the very least a proper one and ran away. To be honest I was scared and that's why I'm sorry."
Pausing he tried to keep his voice as steady as possible as he gripped her hand and stared into her eyes that were just as golden as the day he first saw them. Everytime he looked into her eyes he always found himself slowly losing his concentration as he got lost in the golden fire that was always blazing and radiating in his view. If he had to say one thing he loved about Xelfia the most it would definitely be her eyes that were almost second to none. Of course he loved every single part about her like just being in her presence. Whenever she was around he always felt like he could do better and maybe could change eventually. Maybe it was weak but Xelfia gave him strength and courage that he didn't know he needed. When she was in her coma that was the first time he had ever realized it and it struck hard.
"Xelfia. I love you. I wish I had said it a little sooner though."
Trying to hide his own embarrassment with a small joke he finally said the words he had been waiting to say for a very long time.
"I see."
With that Xelfia absentmindedly replied as her mind started to freak out hearing those words she had longed to hear but was too afraid to say anything after her first confession.
"I see?."
"No, no. Not that I mean I was just too happy to hear you say those words that I kind of lost myself there. That's all."
Maybe she didn't expect Xilo to say those words to her soon but that didn't mean a part of her didn't want that to happen and now that it had she felt a warm fuzzy feeling wash over her body as she slowly sat up. That warmth enveloped her as she reached out to grab Xilo's other arm. Xilo panicked when she got up so soon but let it be as he figured she would be alright. He accepted her tugging and quickly embraced Xelfia once again to give her a hug. It was a feeling of warmth he had missed greatly. Sleeping by himself even if he was still beside Xelfia these past two months was a lot more lonely than he thought it could ever be so he wanted to relish in the feeling of her soft body pressed against his as much as he could. A part of him even thought this was Xelfia's plan from the very beginning. "Probably." Though he wasn't very upset about it. How could he as her breast pushed up against him as he felt her breath run down the back of his neck and back while rubbing hers. That feeling sent small shivers of excitement down his spine.
"I missed you."
"Did you? Haha good to know. Let me say it one more time as well. XIlo I love you too."
With that she pulled him back a little and brought his face up to hers once again and looked into his silvery eyes and watched as the bits of red seemed to dance and float around before going in for another kiss. This time though it was less clumsy and rushed as they both enjoyed each other's taste for a couple of seconds.
"Am I interrupting something? I can leave you know."
A voice entered their ears that shocked them apart as they turned to see Tearia's grandmother staring at them both.
