Awkwardly separating themselves Xilo was a little panicked as he fumbled to speak a little until he eventually was able to say something.
"Wh-what are you doing here?"
"It's time for Xelfia's daily check up, Though it looks like that isn't needed anymore."
"Haha."
Laughing in embarrassment he didn't know what else to say. He got lost in the excitement of today's event and ended up never bothering to check the time since he had awoken until now so this whole thing was his own fault. Staring at the two of them after they had separated Tearia's grandmother let out a silent sigh to herself that neither of them caught on to. "Tearia isn't going to have an easy time..." She had an inkling before about Xilo and Xelfia's relationship but it was only a hunch at the time but now that hunch was no longer just a guess but a confirmation.
She wanted her granddaughter to be happy but now it looks like there was going to be even more trouble ahead then she initially thought. However there was still a chance for her. In this world she had seen many people with multiple wives or even the opposite on rare occasions and while she herself hated it that didn't mean she had any right to interfere with what Tearia thought as long as she was happy. Though her hate for it definitely showed to this day. In the past her husband was one hell of a playboy and while she loved him dearly at the time she had hated that aspect of him. It had taken her years upon years until eventually it was finally just the two of them together only. It was one of her happiest memories of the past but whether she could say that for her husband was another story. "He did get me afterall, so he should be grateful. Hehe." Laughing to herself she refocused on the two in front of her.
"I don't see Tearia with you, is she still asleep?"
"No, I watched her go out a little bit ago."
"Hmm..Do you know where she went?"
"Nope she didn't tell me, but she should be fine so don't worry about it. She can handle herself."
Reassuring Xilo of his worries she saw a slight glimmer of hope as she smiled and walked up to Xelfia.
"Since you're awake let me take a quick peek at your condition. I hope you don't mind."
Looking to Xilo for confirmation Xelfia nodded after he did as well. This time around since she was already awake she only planned to look at the basics of her body to check if everything was alright after such a long sleep and nothing else like before. If any other problems did show up in the future the two of them could always come back to get checked up on again. That didn't mean she hoped it would come to that
though. A couple of seconds passed and she had finished. Withdrawing her hand she backed up and smiled.
"You should be alright. But do be careful, you don't want to hurt yourself again so soon after just awakening again. Especially after worrying the boy beside you so much. Also you should check your Astral Energy yourself to see the changes that occured while you were asleep."
"Changes?"
"You'll see. Don't worry. they're good ones."
Nodding Xelfia checked herself but only gave a vague response afterwards with a smile.
"Good. Now I'll be off and leave you two alone for a little bit. I'm sure you want to catch up a little bit. Have a good time."
With that she turned around to leave the door. Excitingly, she walked up to her husband at the main entrance and grabbed his hand as she leaned on the counter.
"How is everything?"
"She's woken up now and everything seems fine."
"Well that's good."
With that she received a peck on a cheek from him as one of Xilo's questions popped into her head.
"Do you know where Tearia went? I saw her leave but she never said anything."
"No but she is coming back now from what I can see."
"Really? So fast."
"Who knows what goes on in that girl's head sometimes. At least she came back fast this time."
A few minutes later the familiar figure entered the doors on the inn and the old couple was greeted by the sight of their granddaughter walking through the door with slightly heavy breathing and her hair in a slight mess.
"Are you okay?"
Startled seeing their granddaughter like that they went to her side to check on her. Her grandmother was the first to check on her condition.
"Don't worry I'm fine, I just went on a little run that's all."
"A little run? Well as long as you're okay. You should go check on Xilo now. Xelfia has just woken up and I know you were worried about it as well."
"I agree they are your friends after all."
"Oh really."
Excited and surprised by the news Tearia changed her attitude and posture quickly while ignoring her grandparents and rushed to Xilo's room. Watching her run off both her grandfather and grandmother had one thought in mind watching that sight.
"We're in for some future headaches aren't we"
Looking at each other and laughing they slightly cuddled and smiled as she eventually disappeared from their vision. Busting into the room Tearia came in as fast as possible and was greeted with the sight of Xilo and Xelfia relaxing on the bed talking. Jumping in the conversation she pounced on Xilo's back with excitement.
"Hey Xelfia. I'm glad you awoke."
Unfortunately she couldn't stay on him long as he quickly pushed her off of him. Xelfia smiled at the sight of Tearia but the memory in her dream quickly flashed past her thoughts. Feeling a slight sting of pain she pushed it away trying to forget.
"It's been awhile hasn't it."
"Yep, But don't worry I've kept Xilo company while you were asleep."
"So I've been told."
"Haha."
Laughing Tearia sat beside Xilo in a chair as they all slowly caught up with each other. After talking for a Tearia eventually had an idea that sounded crazy even to herself but it was still worth a shot.
"Hey, I've got an idea. Why don't we got back to the Astral Zone?"
""Huh.""
Two shocked voices entered Tearia ears but she wasn't too surprised as she pushed past it and brought up her main point of the matter
"Come on, I'm sure you want to see the changes that have happened to Xilo since he reached the Transformation Stage while you were asleep after all."
"He did!?"
Surprised and happy at that new information Xelfia almost jumped out of the bed but stopped herself while she turned to look at Xilo for confirmation.
"Indeed I have."
