Beginning Of The Third?

Eventually after walking for a little bit and spending some time together in silence after that event they reached the end leading into the next section of the ruins. Stepping into the room they watched as it came alive while the walls started to glow little by little illuminating the place around them until eventually every corner was filled with light once again. Looking around though they saw a different sight then the previous room they were in.

The walls that closed the room of no longer had any drawings or words on them anymore but instead they were left blank as they shined in a golden glow with a couple holes in each of the walls scattered about seemingly randomly but one of the biggest difference was probably the five different entry ways they saw.

"5 Doors, isn't there only 3 more tests though?"

"We'll just have to check out each one and see if they do anything I guess, shouldn't be an issue."

Saying that Xilo turned towards the sounds of rumbling he had heard after they entered, that was coming from the left of the room in the corner closest to where they were. There he saw a spring of flowing water endlessly gushing out into a pond below it. Seeing that sight Xilo smiled a little as he headed toward it. Before coming to the Astral Zone he had left his bag that held all the scraps of meat he had collected over time along with a few other small things and now that they had been down here for who knows how long he was starting to feel the repercussions but with fresh water around now they should be able to last a bit longer then before if need be.

However that was also something he had noticed ever since they had arrived down here. Usually he was decent enough at keeping track of time but whenever he was down here and thought of it his mind became jumbled while his thoughts became unclear. "I just want to know how long we've been down here....." He didn't know whether it had been days or hours at this point and that thought was starting to irk him a little bit but there was nothing he could.

"Well this'll be refreshing at least."

Staring at the water Xilo crouched down and took some in his hands finally getting something in his system after who knows how long while Xelfia came over to join him and did the same. After that little break Xilo stood up again and looked at each of the paths they had to choose from now.

"So we just take a guess then?"

"Whatever you think is best, It doesn't look like there's any signs to let us know regardless."

Examining the area around the doors Xilo tried to look for anything that might give them a hint on which one to enter but just like Xelfia said they all looked the exact same. "But maybe this is a part of test itself?" Though he could always be wrong about that.

"Well not like we've got any better way of knowing so we might as well try with the closest one to us."

"Alright."

With one door being on each side of the wall and three being at the front Xilo chose the one closest to him as he walked up to it and waited for anything to happen while placing his hand on it. A second passed but still nothing happened as he breathed a sigh of relief and felt himself slipping through the wall of Astral Energy and landed in another pathway again. Waiting for Xelfia to follow he sat there for a second till he saw her body start to poke through then began walking.

"Wonder what it'll be this time."

"It could be anything but try not to let your guard down okay?"

With how Xelfia had been lately he was worried she might make a mistake so he reminded her just in case as they approached the exit and got ready for whatever was on the other side. Feeling his strength flowing through his body he put his hand on the exit with Xelfia beside him and pushed through. Exiting he didn't have any time to look around as an icicle came flying at him instantly taking him a little by surprise but he was able to swiftly catch it in his hand and crush it before it hit him while the same happened to Xelfia.

Seeing more come from him then one this time around Xilo instinctively wanted to get out of the way but stopped himself when he moved and found no more ground where he put his foot off to the side. "Fuck." Looking in the corner out his eye he saw a giant pitfall leading into who knows where stopping them from leaving the area they were currently at while being bombarded. They were stuck as more icicles flew directly at him with more coming behind them. Unable to grab them all Xilo tried his best to destroy any he could before they got to them as he punched them to save time while Xelfia started creating a net of water to slow them down around her while destroying any she could as well.

"What do we do!."

"Give me a second, I'll try and slow them down okay."

Hearing that he watched as the shield of water got bigger and soon started to protect him a little bit while he felt an icicle pierce his arm after being unable to stop all of them. But he couldn't pay attention to the pain at the moment with all that was happening. "What's even doing this.." He had almost no time to even look at who or what was throwing these things at him but at least Xelfia would help give him some time once she finished. That soon came after a little bit more time and Xilo finally felt some relief as he watched the icicles travelling a lot slower towards them after Xelfia completed her shield. They still came fast but now he would at least have more time to breath and he began looking around the source of them.

"Found it."

After a couple seconds of searching he found a small little Astral Beast that was white as snow and almost looked like a bunny if not for its large ravenous teeth or the fact that the icicles were being flung out of its ears across an entire cavern. Looking at that and seeing the distance between them he felt a headache coming on.

The room was essentially one giant hole with only a few platforms here and there from what he saw with that one single creature on the other side constantly attacking them.

"So what do we do then?"

His only guess was to try and reach that Astral Beast and kill it from here but neither him nor Xelfia could probably reach that far.
