"Fast" With some surprise she tried to jolt her body and move but she was too slow to react as a blade sliced across her arm just as she got out of the way. Not even having time to look at the damage done she was forced to move again as she felt wetness run down her arm as red entered the corner of her vision. "Damn I didn't expect that." This time she was ready so at least this attack she could dodge but the speed he was showing was way faster than she expected from someone. "Probably similar to mine if not faster." She highly doubted he was going all out already so she kept that warning in the back of her mind as managed to dodge this attack thankfully.
"Impressive."
Hearing his tone she wasn't happy in the least to hear his words however all could do was scowl as she felt her arm go slightly numb for a second before a burst of pain ripped right up it to her shoulder as a long trail of blood started to seep out before stopping. "What the...." Confusion filled her mind as she stared at her arms. That was the second time she had been attacked without knowing or feeling it and this time it had gotten worse. "how?" The only thing she could think of to help solve her confusion was to blame it on his speed. Looking down at the sword he was holding she shivered at the sight of it's silver glow with some of her blood dripping off it still.
"Well I thought I could save my trick for a little bit, however now it looks like I won't be able to." Concentrating she used the time in between his attacks to quickly summon a small invisible object shaped like a small square. This was what she was given when she had finally gotten her Astral ring. At first she had thought it was quite weak and never really paid attention to it past the first inspection but ever since her training with her Grandfather she had remembered it again and spent more time looking at it.
With more tests as days went on she figured out it's uses which shocked her quite a bit. Besides being invisible and nearly impossible for anyone to locate it was also almost impossible to destroy for anyone on her level or even above. She had even got her Grandfather to test it for her when she finally gave up trying to break it herself and it took him raising his power up to the Sixth stage to even start leaving marks on it until eventually destroying it which left her quite speechless at the time along with her Grandfather. However it's most useful feature was probably the fact that she could move it around her body wherever she wanted near instantly.
"It may be only about 5 centimeters big but it's a near unbreakable defense and this was just the beginning of it." It was bound to get better as time went on and that thought excited her. Yet now it was time for her to finally use it in a proper battle and against this man it was her best card to use. Summoning it she placed it on her weaker right arm for now as she opened her eyes to see him in front of her face again swinging. However she refused to lose sight of the blade this time as she concentrated as hard as could while watching it swing down at her leaving afterimages behind it until it was on top of her. Instead of dodging though she just moved into the position she thought it would hit and stepped to the side to dodge his body.
Watching his body fly by her she sent a kick towards his back launching him forward a little bit more but all that did was anger him it seemed. "Unfortunate." Staring at the shoe mark on his back she couldn't stop herself from cracking a smile as he turned around, still just as calm as before but that didn't fool her. The Intensity of his Astral Energy changed slightly along with his body language and she didn't miss that. "Nice." Looking down at her arm she saw no mark appear as she did a small little fist pump in her head before she paid attention again. Tearia's plan worked now it was just a matter of continuing it.
"What did you do?"
Staring at the purple haired girl he noticed his attack didn't leave a mark on her this time as a bit of rage seeped into his head. "That should be impossible." Swearing in his head he wanted an answer but all he got from her pretty face was a mocking smile and a taunt. "So she isn't going to talk. Figures, well no matter, I'll make her talk one way or another." with a bit of sadistic thoughts running through his head he felt some humiliation in not knowing why someone so much weaker than him could block even just one of his attacks but a part of him assumed he just made a mistake in his strike as he tried to calm himself down. "A fluke happens every once in a while. No matter I'll just keep on striving for perfection." With that thought he calmed himself down well he charged forward refusing to make a mistake this time. It just wasn't in his nature. He was as perfect and he didn't want to see otherwise.
Flicking his wrist quickly he appeared in her face as Astral Energy travelled to his blade while he swiped at her. He watched each and every single body movement she made this time refusing to let her do such a thing again but he saw nothing but a regular dodge from her as his sword grazed her skin leaving nothing there. Not even his residue Astral Energy left a mark where he targeted on her arm. "Another miss..." A part of him refused to accept such an outcome but the reality was before his eyes as he backed off before looking down at his blade as his calm was slowly breaking. "What is happening?" Once might have been a fluke but twice in a row wasn't. She was doing something to avoid his attacks but he just didn't know what. "Bit- No calm yourself." Shaking it off he lifted his head to notice the same cheeky smile as before.
"What's so funny?"
"Oh Nothing...."
Finally for the first time since the match started he heard her voice but there was no emotion behind it.
"But maybe you should check your back?"
"What?"
Confusion filled his brain as he slowly turned around before his calm mask broke.
