With only eight people left to first there would only be three more fights until the end and the winner would finally be decided. For Tearia though any of these fights could be her last especially with the swordsman still in the running along with that one weird girl she had seen along with the rest. Each and every single one of them were the best of the best yet Tearia felt like she was the only one who didn't belong here. So when she heard them begin to announce the next set of fights her body froze up as she looked at her Grandparents with a bit of panic in her eyes as they started to dart around looking in every direction.
"You'll do just fine."
Eli knew Tearia was worried and a lot of things had happened to her today but she needed to keep going even if it was hard. "How can I help..." Trying to think of something he could do to help he went into thought as Tearia sat keeping to herself unable to stop her hands from moving across her legs.
"But...."
Softly she spoke that as one of her hands slipped into her pocket by accident as she grabbed a hold of something before pulling it out. Feeling an object enter her hands she wondered what it was as she looked down just to see something she had forgotten about this whole time. "...." A small white ribbon given to her by Xilo was sitting in her hand but it hurt a little more just to see it. "Not only have I failed myself again, I've also failed you again." Feeling the urge to cry come back she stifled it before it could start. She had a fight to go to and she couldn't be covered in Tears right before it.
"Tearia."
Looking up suddenly she saw her Grandfather crouched down in her face as a pair of hands clasped the hand that was holding the ribbon. "Maybe this won't help her or maybe it will but it's worth a shot." Slowly unclasping her hand he grabbed the ribbon from it as thought of that punk for a quick second before moving towards her hair and gently tied her hair into a ponytail off to the side like usual. A part of him knew she probably refused to wear it ever since that incident. He knew that but regardless he thought it might help even if just a tiny bit plus he thought she looked better that way anyway.
"Just try your best alright?"
"....I'll try."
"Good now go and show them what you're made of."
After feeling the ribbon get tied Tearia did want to stop him for a second but seeing as her Grandfather was doing something that hadn't happened since she was a small child she just let it be as nostalgia washed over her. Once he was done she stood up as she tried her best to ignore her fear and anxiety that was pushing against her chest that threatened to suffocate her as she made her way down to the arenas with her Grandparents watching over her. "I need to do better." Keeping her breathing steady she felt a slight wave of relaxation wash over her the closer she got to her stage. Yet once she finally made it to the stage that urge to be sick came back again for a different reason.
"It just had to be this guy didn't it." Looking at the other side of the stage she watched as a man wrapped entirely in a white robe walked up to the stage with a sword by his side as she held in the urge to admit defeat just with the sight of him. "He pisses me off." She had an unreasonable amount of hate for him but maybe that was because the way he carried himself was similar to how she was or she just didn't like how full of himself he seemed to act. However it didn't matter how he looked or acted, his skill was the real thing and that sword was deadly. Crossing her arms she heard his voice but didn't bother responding to him.
"Good evening young lady."
"...."
"I see you're a shy one, How unexpected."
"...."
"I hope we have a wonderful battle."
Then silence came but each of his words grated at her ears and stung. "I can hear the sarcasm dripping from here." Each word he said sounded polite but they were full of daggers towards her and to make things even worse the man was from that clan. "Feltin again." Sighing any thoughts of fear had long been shoved to the back of her mind the second she saw the man. "This isn't going to be an easy fight but at least I have something that may help this time unlike before." Thinking of a plan before the fight started she waited as she crossed her arms ignoring the man completely. She didn't want to know anything about him or even hear his voice anymore.
"Why is it always them." The amount of times she got matched against one of them was getting out of hand at this point and each one was more vicious then the last. "I wonder what Lengths he'll go to." With his skill with the sword this match could easily be her death if she wasn't careful and that was just one scenario. She needed to prepared for this as best as possible or else she would be screwed. "Time to finally use my Defense it seems." She had already thought of a couple ways to use it against him but now it was time to put it into practice. "Let's hope this works." Unfortunately she wasn't given much more time to think as the sounds of Referees shouts signaled the start of the match. Instantly she was forced to defend herself as the man came at her with intense speed she didn't expect as he slashed down threatening to cut her into two.
"Surprise."
