Logic and Emotions

"I thought you said she had no chances of winning, what happened to that?" Staring at Tearia's figure as she walked off that one question popped into her head. "Under normal circumstances that would have been the normal outcome yes...but." "But?" "Things went a lot more different than I expected." Sitting in silence she tried to figure out what she meant by that for a couple of seconds before giving up. "Explain." "It's quite simple really, the boy ran out of strength at the end. Which even took me by surprise. I assume he used a lot more energy then we all thought in order to win each fight and Tearia pushed that to the limit and managed to just barely win. If not, her Energy might have gone crazy and self exploded on her causing her to lose."

Taking a moment to let that sink in the girl broke out into a very shallow smile that was nearly unnoticeable as a little bit of happiness hit her. "So in the end it was a test on endurance and the boy lost?" "Correct." " I see." Finally after minutes of crying Tearia began to settle down as her energy left her even more but she didn't let go of her Grandmother's arms. Instead she sat there in silence enjoying the feeling trying to get the image of Felix out of her head as best as she could but the fear gnawed at her mind refusing to let go. Regardless she slowed her breathing as she tried to calm herself down but that wasn't helping too much."

"Better?"

Sniffling she didn't look up to her Grandparents as she answered.

"Kind of..."

"Well that's to be expected."

Rubbing Tearia's hair she looked down at her tear stricken face and felt a little pain run through her heart but this wasn't a problem that could be healed by medicine. They both saw what happened to the boy and how Tearia had reacted so they both saw this coming however this was something she would have to figure out on her own. They had both experienced similar things in their life and still do to this day they just got better at hiding and ignoring it then when they were young. She was just worried that if this was how she reacted now then how might she act in the future when she sees worse and they weren't by her side to guide her anymore but at least that was a worry for the future. For now they could do the best they could while they were still beside her and try to make sure that scenario doesn't happen.

"Want to talk about it?"

"...Okay..."

Like that they spent the rest of the round talking to each other as time went on and while it didn't really help Tearia get past that moment it did help her come back out of her shell a little bit again while feeling a little more calm. She knew in the back of her mind she would have to fight again soon but she just wanted to enjoy this moment while she could and forget about it. "I can't let this stop me from moving forward...." Repeating that in the back of her mind as many times as possible she watched the sky begin to change colours as evening was starting to come. There were only eight different competitors at this point and Tearia was one of them. She had already made it a lot further than she ever even dreamed she would get so she was content if she lost. After all she didn't even expect to make it this way so it was fine this way.

"I'm sorry Felix...." Silently apologizing to that poor boy time passed on as slowly a young boy opened his eyes on one of the platforms. "What happened?" Looking around he saw someone treating injuries he had received but he still didn't quite know what happened until he looked over and saw his Clan Leader face. "Oh...something bad." Seeing the rage and anger on his face Felix thought he had done something to massively screw up and dread washed over him but in the next second he heard his Clan Leader's voice.

"Good job Felix..."

"Good job? then why the anger?"

Barely making out that sentence he felt it was hard to breath or even move at this point but he ignored all that only focusing on the rough looking man with muscles all over his body. Right now that look of anger written all over his face was more important to him then his injuries or memories.

"It's nothing you need to worry about."

".....?"

Still not getting an answer he tried hard to dig into his memories until the fight that just happened finally came back to him as dread ran through his body along with fear. But that fear wasn't directed at himself or the fear of Tearia. Instead it was fear of worry for what might happen to Tearia. His Clan Leader was generally a more calm and caring man from his experience despite his appearance and while he had moments where he wasn't quite like that; it was only with people who did something wrong or that he disliked. But Hurting one of his people this badly before his eyes probably crossed a line that someone shouldn't have even if it wasn't intentional. However logic didn't matter when it came to emotions and Felix knew that all too well.

"Wait.....Father don't do anything rash."

"I told you not to worry."

Ignoring his only son's words he held his anger in as he stared daggers at Tearia. Trying to move Felix attempted to get up but the pain stopped him as someone held him down.

"You shouldn't move right now."

"But.."

"I told you not to worry, I know you're a kind boy and I'll take your plea under consideration for now so just try and rest for me okay? I don't want anything worse happening to you if possible."

"Okay...."

Settling down he stopped struggling as he laid there in silence still a little worried for Tearia.
