Watching something come towards him with what little perception he had at the moment a spike of danger tingled through him as he hurriedly released the ice out of his body before it could get any worse as pain was felt through each of his muscles as his bloated Astral Energy travelled everywhere until eventually releasing into the outside world. Feeling himself start to fade out he could barely tell the results as a giant ice pillar spiked through his vision breaking anything in it's path while pain continued to explode within.
"What am I even doing."
Barely getting that out he tried to control his pain as bits of flesh collapsed around him from who knew where. "Stay awake...." feeling his eyes begin to falter and close he knew if he shut them now that would be it for him. "Can't" Surrounded and alone in a wasteland of Beasts that he couldn't remember anymore he struggled to his final bit of strength depleted. Looking up at the sky, the sun had begun to shine through as he watched it slowly grow brighter as it started to poke out from behind some clouds in the distance. "It's...." Looking at the gap he created with his ice he looked around to check for any danger to him but he didn't see anything thankfully.
Ironically now once he was finally fading into sleep his reasoning had started to come back when he needed it the least. "It happened again....Maybe I can't run from it anymore." Thinking that Xilo stared off into the distance looking at nothing in particular where he saw a flash of a shadow running away. "Is that?" Staring out of what looked like an entrance to a cave he watched a small petite figure skid away quickly without stopping or looking back but he didn't have the energy to think about it right now. "Was that a person?" However that was his last thought for the day as he collapsed into a world of dreams once more.
Left alone in a wasteland of corpses a giant blob-like creature stood stock still as its body fell apart with each passing second. Its teeth shattered and half of its body ripped in half completely as a giant ice pillar tore it apart in mere seconds causing a chill to encompass the entire area, freezing the ground here and there while deterring any Astral Beasts from entering due to the sheer strength of it as one person silently slumbered. As that happened one piece of the creature slowly broke off as it slowly made its way as far from that area as fast as possible before it froze to death. It didn't know anything but fear in that moment as it shivered uncontrollably while it walked.
It didn't even question turning back and trying to find whatever that thing was as it ran off to safety wherever it could find. It just narrowly escaped death then but it might not get lucky a second time and with its sense of reasoning slowly growing by the second it knew better then to follow the anger it was feeling deep inside at the moment. "D-d-d-i-e...." Barely making that out it faded into the shadows to regain its strength as a small spark of darkness energy was left behind it that floated in the wind before disappearing.
Soon a day passed by as Xilo, Xelfia and Relia stayed unmoving as the world went on without them. Althea was slowly making progress with Yilel and hunting XIlo down while the woman from before collected her pay from Selturn and moved on to another place to start anew once again. However Tearia was the worst of them all as she woke up to one of the most changing moments in her life besides Xilo. One morning after she had healed fully she walked downstairs to see her Grandparents discussing something. Lately they had been hiding in their Inn without ever leaving to avoid being tracked down but they were all growing tired of it.
Eli knew he could deal with the problem in seconds if he really wanted but destroying their towns whole power balance and potentially dragging attention towards them from the people in Dracal was also not worth such a thing, so over the past couple days he had been talking with Mel about what to do from now on and they had finally come to a conclusion. "Right on time." Seeing Tearia walk towards them after waking up Eli sighed while he tried to think of how to word this. Tearia was about to experience something she had never in her entire life and he didn't know how she would handle it or work through it. However it was something that was needed, so he had to ignore his own worries for her safety as he greeted her.
"Morning."
"Good morning."
Sensing their tenseness Tearia stiffened herself as she looked at her Grandparents.
"What's wrong?"
"....we need to talk to you about something."
"Oh what's that?"
"We're thinking about leaving this town and finding a new place to settle down for a bit."
"Oh then what's the big deal?"
"You won't be coming with us this time around."
Hearing her Grandmother chime in and say such things she was slightly stunned for a second as she tried to register what she meant in her head.
"I'm not coming? what do you mean...?"
"You'll be going by yourself for a little bit to explore the world."
"Wha..."
Hearing her say that so calmly Tearia's brain went into panick as she thought about what would come from such things. She had never been alone or away from her Grandparents for long periods of time however now they wanted her to go off on her own to explore. "Are they serious?" She could only think they were joking at that point.
"We're not joking."
"....."
"But why?"
"You need to explore the world and grow by yourself and quite frankly this is the perfect opportunity for such things with what's happening. Besides you've grown stronger this past month or so, so there isn't much to worry about it."
"....."
She didn't know what to say to her Grandmothers words at all. She was completely lost.
