Hunt Begins

Slamming down hard on the wooden door she felt a tingling sense of recoil run up her arm as a loud boom reverberated around the room as her excess Astral Energy lost control of itself flying everywhere. "Shut it." Barking she stopped her energy from going wild while the echoes of thunder travelled across the entire city and beyond alerting thousands of people that something was going on. Whether they were taking a late afternoon nap or doing important business all of them heard it as they looked up into the sky startled before searching for the source of it however no matter how hard they searched they found nothing of use except gross Astral Energy that made them feel slightly sick.

"Oh, what's this?"

One lone man who decided to take a nap in a forest for a little bit awoke to the sound of strange thunder. Looking around he checked for any danger as he focused on the sound and waves of Astral Energy spreading out across the world as a sour taste entered his mouth. "So...impure." Feeling the vileness of such energy he almost flinched at how toxic it was. "Only a few different types of people have this kind of Astral Energy within their bodies. It's either a Corrupted, a Demon or someone who has done many bad things. So which one are you exactly?" Grasping a little bit of it he tried to get a grasp on what it exactly was but he was rusty after so long so it took him longer than he expected however before he was about to give up he felt his heartbeat spike as thoughts of evil invaded his mind trying to poison him.

"It's...a demon."

Sitting up from his tree he hoped down as a look of anger crossed his face. "It's been a very long time since I've seen a demon." The last time he had seen a demon was over two hundred years ago when he came across one randomly in a town he was visiting. He was a wanderer that travelled all over the world and only had one purpose. "Kill anything demon related." After finding that demon though he was forced to let it go after it was saved by others but he wouldn't let this one go this time. He had to make up for his mistakes last time. "Vile creatures that shouldn't exist." His Master had taught him everything in life alongside his parents about the cruelty of demons and what they had tried to do to this world. After that he swore to hunt them alongside his family and master for his life but in return he ignored the Astral Keeper's path largely making him a lot weaker to people who practice it, instead he was near invincible when faced against demon kind.

"So the hunt begins once more....."

Slowly he moved towards where the energy was coming from as hate controlled him. "You won't own this world now or ever." Hearing a second rumble enter her ears as she exploded her Astral Fire in another attempt to break the door as she began to feel exhausted. "Still nothing." Looking at the few scratches she made she sighed as a feeling of defeat attacked her along with exhaustion. "Dammit, Still to weak it seems." Watching her fire fade into the air she began to pant a little bit trying to catch her breath. "Whatever's in there they really don't want it to be found." Looking at the door as it taunted her she backed away as she gave up trying to open it. There was nothing more she could do with the strength she had and if even that didn't break it then she would need to be at her best to break it probably but that was impossible with the door sapping her energy and Xilo not being next to her.

"Here they come."

Hearing the footsteps of her scouts running towards her she knew they got worried about her as she tried to make herself presentable. "No way will I look weak in front of them." Catching her breath she walked to the front of the Inn area as two of them barged into the door that she had entered earlier. Glaring at them a snarl crossed her face seeing them ignore her orders to come check on her. "I'm not some kid." Seeing Althea angry both sighed in relief as they felt a chill run down their spine in the next moment knowing they messed up but it didn't last long as two cold words entered their ears shocking them out of their frozen position.

"Let's go."

Barking an order at them she entered the streets as daylight shined in her eyes for a second before walking down the path towards the center of the city as she asked them information along the way. "It's time to pay our little friends here a visit." XIlo wasn't where she hoped he would be and she only found a couple other things that might help her but first she had to make sure those bastards hadn't captured him yet or done anything to him. If they had she would make sure this entire damn town suffers even if it kills her. "No one touches Xilo." Without him she didn't know if her plans could even be continued again, so he was all she had. "Why did I send him away so long ago..." Thinking back to that time she tried to remember why she did that but she couldn't quite remember anymore as she passed the slip of paper she had found before with a name on it to one of her scouts.

"Do either of you know of this place?"

"No We haven't been around this area lately so we only know as much as you. Sorry."

"It's fine, I'm sure our guests will kindly help us out if we ask them."

As they got closer to the center of Belturn and the main Clan houses she watched as hundreds of people left her a path without her even asking as she smiled slightly satisfied. "At least they aren't dumb." Thinking that to herself another couple minutes passed as a gate came into view with a bunch of people standing outside of it waiting for her.

"Ah, I see they were ready for me after all, Maybe they aren't complete idiots."
