Fallen Princess

Examining the door she tried to find any cracks in the process she could take advantage of but if they even were any she couldn't find one. "Well made it seems, with little visible flaws for most people to spot. So I guess brute forcing is my only option If I want to get through this." Debating in her head the pros and cons of attempting to break it open she sat there in contemplation for a couple seconds. Whatever was inside was something that had to be guarded at all costs and getting her hands on information like that even if it wasn't useful to her now could come in handy later for other things however the risk was her being too weak to do anything else afterwards besides defend herself or ask for help from her scouts.

"haaa...I guess I'll give it a go."

She despised the idea of being protected by others with a burning passion but she hated even more to be stopped by things that tried to get in her way. "Let's see how tough you really are." With that, a sharp glint appeared in her eyes as she properly concentrated for the first time in a while now that she was faced with a challenge. Guiding the naturally flowing Astral Energy in her body she brought it to her hand somewhat slowly due to the interference but she didn't care. Slowly a ball of fire formed in her hand starting from a boring red colour before swapping to Yellow, Blue, pink, green, Purple and even more before eventually stopping at a muddied up white colour filled with black impurities. This was one of her family and Clans signature techniques that they all knew and used or else they were considered a failure.

"It's still like this."

Staring at the impure white she sighed as she thought back on how it used to be. At one point in her younger days she had gotten close to the peak of their technique. "Pure White." However she had some impurities still stopping her but over time it didn't get better, it got worse. She got stressed, stopped practicing and most of all became angry. All that eventually led to her Colour deteriorating and never once being able to return to what it was once before. Most members of their Clan were born with the fire element without question and they all typically started at red or even higher sometimes like yellow or blue, everyone had their own beginning but they all strived for the same goal.

"Pure white."

It was something their Clan members had seen very few of throughout their lives and history. "Only Two have had the ability to do it." The very first founder of their clan when they started out was the first one to do it and the second was her late Grandfather that had died thousands of years ago. Few others could reach the black fire with some white mixed in but most never made it past purple but Althea was one of the youngest to do it all to impress her mother. At one point in her life she had been known as the trash child after being the first member in the head family to be born with just plain old basic red flames.

"Bleh, scum."

Those days she had been ridiculed without fail by everyone whenever they were given the chance but her mother supported her through it all. "All while telling me she was sorry...Like it was her fault or something...." left in a position like that as a kid there was many paths she could have chosen to go down but the want of making her mother happy pushed her to strive to be better than everyone else and show them that she was better, Heck even her father at the time supported her. "He even offered to help me make it better faster." However the problem with that method was that you would never go past past the Purple flame no matter how hard someone tried so she declined that offer and did it herself.

At first when people saw the growth of her flame they figured she was doing just that and would eventually stop at purple. So they continued to ridicule her and force her out of her rightful place until eventually she reached that deal breaker stage years later. "That day was certainly something else." The only person who knew she didn't use anything to help her was her father, not even her mother knew. "I don't think she would have believed me otherwise." She had fallen into quite a state of depression at the time because of it but that day she was going to prove everyone wrong.

"That damned mock competition."

Even though she talked like that now it was probably the happiest day of her life. Once every generation all the Family's children would fight for different positions even the head families even if typically their participation was just for show but everyone knew this time around was a lot different for them. Althea was weak and not suitable for the position she was in. "A fallen princess." Their Clans top position wasn't something handed down through families instead it was won and while this may not mean the others could have dethroned the current ruler it would mean they wedged themselves further up in the line and her position was pretty important. She would manage all the clans and make sure things weren't going badly while being trained by her uncle who was the current person in it.

So most families there threw themselves at the opportunity to take that right under their noses. "However I proved all those greedy bastards wrong....and for what now? My mother's dead and my Father's dead to me. So why did I fight so hard." With all these thoughts flashing through her head she watched the impure white flame solidify as all the Astral Energy she could muster gathered to her fist finally. "Whatever, Now I have more important things to do. Like killing him." Raising her fist up high she ignored the heat as she kept it controlled and rushed forward with all her might just like that day hundreds of years ago.

"Mother."
