Watching some Familiar faces come around the corner Xilo smiled as the sound of clanking entered his ears.
"Looks like break times over."
"Let us help this time."
"It's fine, you two can take it easy."
Turning down Felli's offer he moved forward towards the two Metal Knights while a sense of calmness pushed him forward. He knew the two of them were probably fine now that Tearia was awake but he knew Tearia couldn't fight at all so it was best that Felli protected her while she preserved her energy. "I can take these two no problem anyway." After his last fight with them he had gotten a little more familiar with how they worked and the style of combat they would use so it wouldn't be like before where he made a few mistakes. Besides there wasn't even a ranged one this time so it should be fine.
"Come on Xilo, let us help."
"You? Help?"
Hearing Tearia actually say something like that he remembered back to the days in Belturns Astral Zone as a slight bit of mockery entered his voice. He wasn't really trying to be mean but she had never done anything back then so what would have changed now. "Don't try and do something you can't do." Thinking that he shook his head as some ice started to form in his hand while he sighed. However before he could even make a move he heard the sounds of Lightning spark to life as buzzing entered his ears from behind him. Before he could even turn around to see what was happening he watched as a streak of purple blew by his side and straight towards the Metal Knights in front of him.
"Tearia!?"
Recognizing that hair he knew it wasn't Felli as a panic set in within him. "What is she doing." Unable to do anything thanks to her surprising speed he was forced to watch as Lightning ran along her hands and up her arms slightly as she arrived in front of the first knight in speeds even he couldn't reach yet. "What the..." Shocked, he witnessed something he didn't think he would ever see in his life as she formed her tiny hand into a fist as all the lightning converged there while she smashed her fist straight into the metal knights stomach sending it flying back into the wall behind it as left over static buzzed on its armour completely dead after one blow but she wasn't done yet.
"Is this....really Tearia?"
He didn't even move a muscle let alone breathe as he watched an unreal show unravel before his eyes. Mouth slightly agape he watched as a rod of lightning formed in her hands as she smacked the other one's sword aside before smacking right into it with her bare hand just like before however this one didn't die right away. So with Brutality he'd never expect from such a small girl she stabbed the lightning straight into its body and through its chest stopping it dead in its tracks never to move again. "What just happened..." Looking at her smile without even breaking a sweat as she stood over two of the Metal knights corpse that she killed with ease he was left speechless at the sight..
"Why are you so surprised?"
Hearing Felli's voice behind him he turned around to see Felli standing there confused at his reaction as Tearia did a little celebratory dance as she clapped her hands before turning back to show Xilo what she had done with a proud smile reminiscent of a kid trying to show off to their parents. "See, I'm different now." Maybe she had jumped ahead a little too far but she wanted to use this opportunity to show Xilo what she was made of now and when she heard the mockery in his voice that thought got even further fueled. "I refuse to sit behind you and be protected anymore." She didn't get this strong to just do nothing so even if he hated her and her guts she was still going to fight beside him.
"See I can help Xilo, you just need to let me."
"....."
Not really knowing what to say he compared the Tearia right now to the Tearia had met before as his brain tried to properly digest what just happened. "Where in the world does she store all that power, wait no, better question, when in the world did she get so strong?" At a slight loss he watched as she came walking back towards them with that same silly smile still on her face as someone poked his back and whispered in his ear.
"This is where you're supposed to say good job, I don't know why you're so surprised but she's doing this for you."
"...."
Arriving in front of Xilo she stopped where she was as she stared at his blazing eyes that scanned her from head to toe with a smile on her face. "Finally I was able to start showing Xilo what I'm made of." Hoping he'd at least recognize that, she waited to see what he would say but unfortunately she only got a few words that didn't meet her expectations in her head.
"Let's get moving."
Saying that, Xilo awkwardly moved forward not really knowing what to say in that situation as the sounds of his name got shouted from behind but he ignored them.
""Xilo!""
It wasn't that he wasn't a little impressed with her, it was just he didn't know how to go about giving her a praise and while Felli told him to just say good job to her it wasn't that simple unfortunately. "Haaaa...Tearia. What would you say Xelfia?" Trying to figure this all out he walked down the hallways as the sounds of footsteps caught up to him. In essence he was essentially just running away but they didn't say anything to him or get mad at him "I'm being ridiculous aren't I?" Mocking himself he walked down the halls with those two behind him as a slight whisper left his mouth.
"Good job Tearia."
