Her thoughts had been consumed by the drive to move forward while her feelings had been lost in the void of insanity. She could only move forward in that moment as she forgot all about Xilo and even Tearia. "I must find it." She had killed off around three of these things now with each new set of steps she had travelled and she was getting tired of it now. "This should have been the last one." Walking up another set of spiral steps she rounded the corner with anticipation as a giant purple light shined at the top of steps.
Feeling a little blinded by the light she covered her eyes as she adjusted to it before walking into a giant room. Taking a second for her eyes to recognize everything, she spotted a giant purple crystal that was over three meters tall standing in the middle of the room alone. The more she looked at the crystal the more excited she became as it occurred to her what it was. "An Astral Crystal for space." She could feel the space energy inside her reacting even from across the room that confirmed her thoughts.
"It looks like this is what Mother was talking about however the other thing should also be here."
Moving forward she did her best to control herself as she looked for the most important thing that was here. Circling around the statue she saw a little section in the back where a book was lying. Picking it up she read the cover of it as she made sure it was the right thing. "The Controlling Of Space...By Lazen Feldin." Reading the writers first name she was reminded of her own last name as she brushed the dust of the cover.
"When you eventually find this room. You'll find a book in there written by someone called Lazen. Make sure you collect it, If I'm right it'll help you a lot with your Astral Space and controlling it."
Repeating her mothers words she opened the book with a little excitement. Bashing into the knights arm again Xilo heard a couple sounds of blades hitting its back as Tearia made her move again. "Good keep it up." Seeing more dents appear they were making progress against this thing finally. It was just a matter of time at this point from the looks of it. "No more heat waves either." He didn't know why it refused to use any element even normally but it made things easier.
With each hit it's movements got more slow as they got closer to beating it. "Just a little more." It could barely swing its sword anymore at this point as more ice covered its body before breaking as a huge dent was left in it's armour. Watching it drop its sword Xilo signaled to Tearia with a quick signal that they would attack together. It couldn't do much anymore so this last attack should be all it takes. Then they could explore the other rooms in here and see what was in there.
"Tearia!"
"I'm on it."
Picking up Xilo's daggers she grabbed them in her hand as she charged forward feeling a slight heat again but she ignored it. Right now killing the Knight was more important. Arriving behind it's back she found her point as stabbed as hard as she could into it and ripped a giant hole in it's back while Xilo did something similar as it lost its arm. Watching it's arm fall to the ground she continued to make the hall bigger until she felt the heat ramp up even more.
"Xilo do you feel that?"
She could feel sweat dripping down her forehead and it wasn't because she was tired.
"Yeah...Fuck."
Feeling the heat Tearia was talking about the one thing he was worried about was coming and this time it seemed a lot worse than before. "It was saving up for this attack." No wonder it hasn't used any more fire. It knew it was losing so it saved up its energy as much as it could to try and take them out in one shot before it died. Feeling his skin turn sticky he was afraid of how hot it would be when it unleashed it. "We don't have time to stop it." Panicking he did the only thing he could think of in this situation as ice built up inside him while rushing to Tearia.
"Sorry!"
Leaving the knight alone in a half state of destruction he ignored everything as he grabbed Tearia into a big hard hug as he released ice all around them freezing them solid. The fire had already started to burn them before he did this and with nowhere else to run this was the only thing he could think of trying to do. "I hope this works." Surrounded by a wall of ice he shut his eyes as a roar of flames came to life all around him. Soon the whole hallway was filled with flames as the two of them stayed in their little shell of ice while it melted away just as quickly as it formed. Thankfully though he had experience with this now due to Zilan so he was a lot better at handling it then before.
Not using as much ice initially he slowly built up the wall while he kept Tearia in his arms while he felt her chest press up against him.
"Warm."
Opening his eyes he saw Tearia staring up at him while the flames surrounded them.
"Thank you...."
Being held so suddenly by Xilo once again Tearia felt her mind be fried by heat that wasn't caused by the Knights fire as she grabbed onto his body. She didn't know how long its attack would last but now she hoped it would never end. "Xilo..." She wanted to say a lot of things but she kept quiet as she let Xilo concentrate. She knew right now he was probably pushing himself quite a bit to keep them safe. Distracting him with silly thoughts wasn't a good idea.
