Crushing The Protecter

Getting her vision back after that burst of fire and heat the first thing Tearia was greeted with was a sword coming straight at her with no time to dodge. Quickly she put up her Lightning Rod on the left side of her thankfully as the sword collided with it just in time. Able to brace herself against the impact she felt her insides move around as she stopped herself from going flying just barely. "That's one heavy blade." Her one arm alone couldn't keep this up for long so she had to back off quickly.

"You alright?"

*thud*

Watching the blade hit one of the statues a large sound came out of it along with an impact that rang in her ears. "I blocked that?" Seeing cracks appear on the statue she was surprised she was able to even withstand that for a second. Looking Tearia over Xilo made sure she was okay as the knight pulled his sword out of a statue. "One tough guard." Making some ice he knew he was at a disadvantage with it's now known fire but he didn't have much choice. "Maybe I can use some darkness here?" If he couldn't freeze it then he could do his best to break it down.

"Finding another way to stop it would be good but if another one of those heat flashes comes."

Thankfully it didn't seem to hurt them to much as of now but later that could change. With its sword finally pulled out of the statue it turned around as Xilo noticed the hole in its cape. "I see so that's where Tearia was hitting it." Taking that information into account he poured some Darkness into his daggers as he made more. He didn't know how well it would work against this thing but it was worth a try. Passing the two in his hand to Tearia he made sure she could use them while he was distracting it before he pushed forward.

"Take these they should help you perform some sneak attacks."

"Thanks?"

With not much else time to explain he went off leaving her there. Carrying the blades Xilo typically used she felt a little lost in that moment as Xilo went to fight the Knight. "His blades...." Embracing the chill she even felt the pain in her right arm disappear a little bit as a smile surfaced. It wasn't really anything special from Xilo probably but to her it was so much more. "We got this, together." This was the first time she had just fought beside Xilo. All the other times Xelfia or Felli had been there however now it was just the two of them. Something she had wanted for a while now and holding these blades made her realize that.

"We've got this, we've got this."

Watching Xilo block an attack as his dagger broke she waited for an opening to its back. The best way to use this was to continue going for it's weak spot she had made when Xilo made an opening. "Perform a sneak attack eh?" Guessing she would just throw them like he did usually and pick them back up since she couldn't just remake them, she readied herself. "I just need him to turn it around." Waiting there she let Xilo fight as she noticed the statue from earlier had its eyes grow more faded.

"It seems it's broken and it seems a little less hot now.."

Thinking about that she watched Xilo finally turn it around for her. Blocking another attack Xilo slowly moved himself more and more to turn it around. If he wanted to take this thing down together with Tearia then he needed to use a similar strategy that he once used but this time he would be the bait. "Once we open a hole up in it, it'll be a lot weaker." After that the rest of it's body should soften up a little bit leaving them able to just swiftly take it down. Taking another step he attempted to slash it himself only for his attack to be blocked by its free hand.

"This things reaction speed."

Feeling its sword pushing back against him Xilo ducked backwards as the sword went over his head. "Instantly took that opening." Now it's back was completely exposed to Tearia again though so he had done his job. Moving under the sword before it could slash down on him he attacked it's hand that was holding the sword as he froze it a little bit. Before that heat didn't come until it was fully frozen so if he froze small areas at a time it wouldn't unthaw itself or at least he hoped.

"It hasn't used that attack yet but it could come at any time. I need to be ready for that."

With it's arm now frozen a little he slashed at that area before it could retract it's blade. Breaking his own ice in the process he slashed as a dent actually showed itself. "Oh?" Noticing the difference that time after actually landing an attack Xilo quickly froze another area of its arm again before he removed his blade. If Tearia failed to make a hole with this method maybe Xilo could make his own and whittle it down.

"So I can do damage to it, it's just a matter of hitting it."

It had lots of defense and reaction speed but the more the fight went on the more Xilo was learning. It wouldn't be long before this thing falls and they could see what it's protecting here. "Hopefully this is worth the time." Nearly Forgetting about Felli he had at least accomplished that goal.

With soft taps of her shoes on the ground Felli stared at the mangled Knight as she got closer while smashing it into pieces within seconds using her Astral Space. Her Impatience was spiking through the roof each second she was delayed by these stupid things. "let me pass, let me pass." Watching it turn into a ball of scrap she saw the staircase she was looking for.

"I'm so close. I'm almost there Mother..."
