"I'm fine, I was just taken by surprise that's all."
Mostly though she was trying to get over the shock her body sent through her. When she realized she was frozen she had thought for a very splint second that Xilo had done that. "I'm the worst." Luckily she wasn't given much time to stay depressed with the king coming right for them. This was a fight and he wasn't going to give anyone time to catch their breaths. If these people wanted to invade his home then they would have to face the consequences.
"Crumble."
Both of them stumbled as the gravity crushed down on them harder than before. Xilo felt his bones straining himself a lot more than before while Tearia couldn't even stand for a second. Seeing her falter for a second he grabbed her body as he brought up his swords to defend. It's ice already broke from earlier but it should hopefully be enough still. "So slow." What usually took him two seconds to do turned into five seconds with all the weight that was forced upon him.
*Cccshk*
Stumbling a bit himself, Xilo tried to keep a lock on their stalemate while he let Tearia move on her own. With a free second hand he grabbed his hilt with both hands as he pushed back while trying to form a complete blade again. Without Icebreaker he was almost positive this fight already would have been over but the strength of their weapons was keeping them alive. "Staying alive is more important then anything else." Bending his knees he tried to lighten the weight as Tearia attacked with Ravenous.
"You heard that right, Marie?"
"Yeah, you going to take a look?"
"You know I have to, leaving someone alone in danger isn't my style."
"If it looks dangerous, we're backing off, understand?"
"....."
Zilan knew Marie was the woman that kept his stupidity in check but that scream felt familiar to him. He might've ignored it otherwise this deep into an Astral Zone but that nagging thought tugged at his mind and heart strings. Passing by some Statues as they left a set of steps they walked down the hall they first travelled through where some of their traps were set up before arriving in the main room. Noticing the blocked exit he passed it off as a minor annoyance as he turned to the direction he thought it had come from as he and his friends walked towards it.
"What did you do this time...Felli."
Racing up a few sets of steps he looked at the Knights as his assumptions were proven correct. He hadn't heard anymore screams since that last one but he could now confirm that Felli had been here. "Most likely in trouble too." They weren't exactly friends but they had done enough missions together for him to not just leave her alone now and besides he had noticed some changes in her since he had met her in this place. From an eternal loner for the most part she had made friends. "She's changing for the better though speaking of friends, shouldn't those two also be with her then." Getting there, it was even more of a reason to check it out.
"We need them."
Spiraling up the final set of stairs Zilan and his group were met with a surprising sight. "They found the boss of this place." Each Astral Zone had one central Astral Creature that ruled over it all, most commonly named the King of the Astral Zone. Most groups that found it either ran away when faced with the choice of fighting it or they died fairly instantly. The ones who actually ended up defeating the King were either small groups of the best of the best or a very large number of people working together.
"Marie!"
"Don't have to ask me."
Seeing the condition Felli was in she rushed over to her side before Zilan even asked. Her job was to heal people and right now currently Felli needed that the most. The three of them could join in with the others and fight whatever that thing was. Seeing Marie beginning to tend to Felli he let loose a sigh of relief as he turned to the twins. He would need both of their help as well and he needed them to be ready. Without them his fight would be a lot tougher then he would like.
"Daral and Sarin, are you two ready to fight a tough fight?"
"Not much of a choice."
"Seems you've got your sights set on helping already man, so of course we'll help."
Hearing Daral's relaxed reply along with Sarin he could only thank them.
"Thanks."
Hunching over Felli's body Marie brought out a little bag she carried around with all of her supplies as she created some small non-elemental based Astral Energy as well. "I didn't even bother telling him to back off." She knew after he saw this that he instantly wouldn't listen to her regardless of what she said. He was being dumb but she also loved this part about him and even she wanted to help. Seeing someone in this kind of condition she couldn't just leave them alone.
"Breathe and calm down Felli, I'm here to help. Stay with me."
Grabbing her hand she took out a small vial of plain old water to help clean up some of the blood around her as she got to work. "I also found Zilan in a similar state when I first met him. Bringing up her other hand she injected some Astral Energy into Felli's body as the fight raged on in the background. The others would keep her safe while she did this then she could join them.
Breaking his lock with the King, Xilo noticed some commotion in the background as he spotted a man with red hair approaching. "So Zilan also showed up." Watching a fireball blast into the kings back Xilo was slightly happy to see him there. Right now he would take all the help he could get. Not accepting help because he wanted to do it on his own would just get him killed.
"Hey Xilo."
"Hey Zilan."
It was such a simple greeting but it was enough for the both of them for now.
