The Unreal One

Coming out of a market in Landelt, Aeon stored the materials he just purchased in his bag as he received a message from Telan. Picking up the small crystal he used for communication he listened to it as he walked to the place Telan specified. "Meeting up at the fountain." There were quite a few fountains in Landelt however there was only one Telan would want to meet up at. Phasing through people Aeon hid his presence as he went through the streets towards it. Stealth had always been his specialty and very few had come close to his skill in it. "Yet those two managed to detect me." He had trailed Xilo and his group in secret yet they still managed to figure out someone was following them.

"Hmm, should be here."

Walking into an open little area surrounded by some run down buildings Aeon walked to the center where a small fountain was and sat down on its railings as he waited for Telan to show up. Letting his hand drop in the water he felt a spike of cold run through his body as a presence appeared before him. "Fast." This was a spot they had been to thousands of times to talk without the walls of Dracal hearing them. Some things we're better left unheard by them regardless of where their loyalty stood.

"Alright, I'm here Aeon, what'd you want to talk about?"

"Hey."

Sitting down beside his old friend Telan relaxed as he listened to Aeon speak. "Hmmm." Letting Aeon finish speaking Telan sat there in silence for a couple seconds as he thought about it. If that town really was poisoned then this was bigger than he thought it'd be. Very few people had the resources to sneak so close to them and poison a whole town without them noticing at all. "Especially this fast." It narrowed down the options quite a bit when he thought of it like that but the people that were possibly responsible frightened him more.

"If what you're saying is true then a few came to mind, Belturn, Ukelian's royal family and a few other clans like the Wolf Weavers etc. This isn't exactly an easy thing to pull off. I assume you came to the same conclusion?"

"For the most part, yes, though I didn't think about the Royal Family."

"As of late they've been quite...ambitious more so than before so I didn't want to rule them out. Their movements are so strange that even some of Dracal intel can't quite keep up with them."

"Space users are quite annoying to track."

"Says the man who can go through objects like they're nothing...."

If anyone was hard to track it was the old man sitting in front of Telan recently. With the power to ignore most if not all solid objects as he pleased even people he was almost impossible to find if he didn't want to be found. Only a few weirdos and special cases could keep tabs on him and even then it would be rough. "Phasing in and out of existence, the one known as the Unreal One. Infamous for the crimes he did when he was younger." Aeon gave so many Astral Keepers headaches it was impossible to count and Telan was also in the same boat as the rest.

"Hey don't look at me like that, I can still complain about them alright, They were the ones to finally stop me after all."

"That's simply because you let them."

"Meh, who knows, back on topic though. You think one of these groups is targeting us?"

"I wouldn't say that exactly but they are definitely after something. Just make sure you keep an eye on everything there and I'll do some more digging. Some people still owe me some favours and I think it's about time I use them. Something like this can't be left alone. Thank you for telling me this, need anything else though?"

"No problem sir and I think I'll be fine on my own. That one girl is a lot more talented than I thought she would be and seems to have it mostly under control. For now I'll just stick to what you said and observe."

"oh? Someone so young yet able to impress the great Aeon. It seems Zilan found a good group afterall, Think we should recruit them as well."

"Ehh maybe but that one that calls himself Xilo doesn't feel like someone who wants to be bossed around. He likes being in control too much from what I've seen."

"Even if they won't join us completely doesn't mean they can't help us out though."

"Haaa...Good luck with that Sir but I'll be staying out of this."

"Look! It's a work around is it not. Hey, wait! Don't just walk away from me!"

Watching Aeon disappear once more, Telan was left alone at the fountain shouting into the wind. "That bastard." Cursing in his head he stood up and wiped off his pants before walking back to the Hall. "Someone who doesn't like being bossed around and yet wants more connections..." Thinking about some of the things Xilo said when he first showed up, Telan came to his own conclusion. He wasn't guaranteed to be right but he was getting a better idea of Xilo now. "He might not join us but..." Saving these thoughts for the future he picked up his crystal as he sent multiple messages to people. If he wanted to figure out who was behind this he would have to do a lot more digging around.

"Zilan, I don't know exactly what you have planned but you certainly sent an interesting bunch my way. I wonder what more they'll have in store for me."

With night washing over the city the first day had ended for Xilo, Tearia, Xelfia and Relia yet they were all still working just as hard as before whether it be running without stopping or creating more crystals for people, the night wasn't over for them.
