Sometimes You Forget

"Sorry...."

Pulling her hand back, Xelfia felt Xilo grab onto her wrist as she stared at the ground. Calming down Relia felt the voices backing off as a wave of darkness filled her mind. "This feeling." The calm and gentle feeling kept her safe as she focused herself again. "Oh Xelfia..." With what she could spare she heard a bit of Xelfia's speech as she tried to move forward a tad bit. Even like this, Relia couldn't leave them alone. "Just stay still, Relia, for now let the boy handle it and you can heal." Hearing Azalu's weak voice stopping her, Relia paused her steps.

"...Nn."

"They'll be fine without you however you won't be unless you focus." Silently she nodded as she watched Xilo take a hold of Xelfia's wrist with a scary calmness to him. Inspecting her arm Xilo didn't say anything as he made sure she was okay before wiping the blood off his face. With no damage visible on the outside Xilo let go of her hand as he turned to check on Relia to make sure she was okay. Letting Xelfia stand by herself he crouched in front of Relia as he rubbed her hair.

"Is it helping Relia?"

"..Yes."

"Good, think you can handle the rest of it on your own?"

"...Should..be ok."

He didn't know what could happen if he gave her too much darkness so Xilo decided to stay on the safe side and only give a small amount. "I'm glad she's alright." Stretching as he stood up he raised his arms in the sky while a big crack released from his back. "Ahhh." Checking where the sun was at currently he took note of the time as he got prepared to run again. "Once Relia's okay again of course." Until then he would have to deliberate in his head why they were attacked. "He mentioned something about a leak so someone in that town must have said something." Trying to think of all the possibilities that it could have been he heard a small squeak coming from behind him a few minutes later.

"Uhm."

"Hmm? What's up Xelifa?"

"Uh,Uhm, how di-"

"Think of your new power? You packed quite a surprising punch but still you could use a little more strength. can still only barely scratch me even now, haha."

Laughing to himself he finished his stretch and let his arms fall back down. Hearing Xilo's tone of voice, Xelfia knew exactly what Xilo was trying to do and that just made her feel worse. Pushing the nausea out of her system she attempted to form her words into a sentence. There was no way she could just let something like that go even if Xilo was letting her. It needed to be acknowledged even if she hated every second of it. If not she might go insane with all the feelings bottling up.

"No, no not that, I..hurt you and I went a little overboard. Seeing that man try to so easily give up and run away once his friends died just really set me off."

"Haaa...I know it did Xelfia and that's why I'm not upset. Sometimes I forget how much hatred you have for people especially after being next to you for so long and never really seeing it. It made me think that maybe you've just a really good job of hiding it or I've just ignored it up until now. You may have been a little more violent than I was expecting but he had to die regardless. The information would have been nice but it's nothing worth getting down about. I highly doubt a scumbag like him had anything of value and so it brings me back to this. Me, Relia, and Tearia are here to talk if you need us, we don't bite....not always."

Smiling as he finished off that sentence he left it at that as he felt Relia tugging on his sleeve.

"Oh, good to go now?"

"Yes...just..take it slow...for a while."

"Sure we can do that, Alright you heard Relia let's start moving again. We've stayed still for too long and I don't know if we'll be attacked again either. Best to get out of here while we can and hopefully lose any extra pursuers.'

Without a chance to say anything else Xelfia watched the two of them run away leaving her with her thoughts by herself. "You're not allowed to just steal my words...That's just not playing fair." Sulking Xelfia watched Xilo's fading back as it got further and further away from her. "You're right though and one day I'll catch up to you." Starting to run Xeflia let her arm turn back to normal as the blood dripped off it before fading away with the rest of the blood stains in the ground. She had a lot to think about but this run gave her plenty of time to think about. Leaving that bloodbath behind her, she felt a little more relaxed.

"I do hate human's Xilo....however our little group is nice and a place I love to call home. Hopefully it continues to grow and you find the place you can call home to."

Splitting more ingredients into familiar liquids, Tearia was soon reaching the second phase of her production. "I managed to get past the first phase so hopefully I can get passed the next two." With some energy back she and some more practice she was able to get through this part a lot faster then she had before as well. "Maybe I'll be able to finish this earlier then I originally thought." As long as the two next phases went well maybe she could get some extra rest to prepare for Xilo's return.

"Hurry, Xilo."

Silently watching from afar Aeon made sure Tearia was safe from any harm as she did her job.

"She got through that quite smoothly even if it was slow...I wonder who taught you? Questions for another time though I suppose."
