Progress Begins For Monsters

With just a slight transformation Xilo was already losing control of himself before her eyes. "He's worse than me." Her first time went a lot smoother than his leaving her a little bit lost. Moving in though she grabbed Xilo's body avoiding the blades in his hands. She said she would keep him under control and she wasn't afraid to use force against him. Unlike the other girls she had very little attachment to Xilo besides being similar and that wasn't enough to stop her. Gripping his arm she crushed it with a forceful grip as she looked at Xilo directly in the eyes.

"Get a grip on yourself dammit. You've barely even begun and you're already acting like an idiot."

"Raaa."

Seeing him still refuse to listen she punched him in the stomach.

"Come now, surely you're better than this, you said you wanted to control it right, so get a hold of yourself."

Feeling his vision swirl around, Xilo felt that anger trying to control and rip apart his mind as he looked at the room surrounding him. Listening to that voice as hard as he could he latched onto it as he tried to control his emotions. Taking a deep breath he used the pain as an anchor as he exhaled. Soon his thoughts cleared up a lot more but that anger never faded. Blinking a few times he looked up at Seli as he tried to talk. He knew she was the one helping him keep calm right now.

"I..I think I'm good now."

"Good, just needed a little sense smacked into you. I'm going to let go of you now. I hope you can handle yourself once I do. Otherwise next time is going to hurt a lot more."

"I'll try my best."

"Good."

Staring down at his hands Xilo finally got a good look in the mirror for once. "So this is what I look like...no wonder I'm feared by so many." He had long forgotten the days where everyone would run at the mere sight of his presence as he explored the Fiery Clan. He never really understood why they seemed so afraid but if they saw this form then that explains it. "If only my memory wasn't so foggy." Some things had slowly come back to him with Zelfin's appearance however he was still missing a lot of the pieces.

Feeling Seli let go of his arm, the pain faded away as that anger attacked him begging for control. Xilo didn't let it happen this time as he tensed up his body waiting for some kind of reaction. Besides the nagging urge to punch something though he was fine for the most part. Seeing Xilo in that form all of the girls held their breath as they watched. None of them made any sounds, they just stayed silent hoping they wouldn't distract him and for Xilo that was enough. Their presence alone helped set him at ease and calm him down a bit.

"You seem to be able to keep it under control now with perfect conditions at least. How are you feeling, emotions going wild or any physical pain?"

"Besides what you did to me I'm not feeling any other pain but there's a nagging anger that I can't seem to get rid of and a bit of doubt."

"Well, I can't say anything about the doubt you're feeling, however I can tell you to control that anger. I'm guessing if you let it loose you will go on a rampage again. This is so you don't become a monster that you seem to hate so much so remember to hold that anger down like a dog on a leash. For now we'll see how long you can keep this up in normal conditions and go from there. This is your first step though so let me give you a congratulations."

"Huh?"

"Congrats on believing in yourself Xilo."

With a slight bow Seli hid the smile she had as she looked at Xilo. No matter what kind of scenario you are in life whether it was big or small, maybe even pointless to others. Facing your fears is never an easy thing and when someone did that they always deserved recognition. It was something her friend had taught her and she refused to let those values go. If she hadn't met her back in the day Seli might have walked a similar path to Xilo, maybe even worse. A monster that rampaged until someone eventually killed it, just like all the others.

"I-I see."

Feeling slightly embarrassed, Xilo didn't know what to say to that remark. Seli didn't say anything either afterwards so he just chose to be quiet instead and let time tick on by. With a couple hours passing Xilo and Seli had done quite a few tests and managed to figure out more things then he would have ever imagined. How to activate that form, how long it could last and how much it affected his mental state. Those were all the main things they focused on today before Xilo felt himself getting exhausted. After that they stopped as they went to lunch to discuss some things together and to take a break. After that they could get to it and slowly turn that power into a useful tool.

"Total control of this might take a long time but...It'll be worth it."

Sitting down at a table with the four of them that thought flashed through his mind as they ate. Joining in on their conversation they talked about some things as they got to know Seli a lot more then before. She was a new friend they had made and she was proving herself to be a useful ally as well. She was even spurring on the other girls to try some training themselves when they went back. With this all of them would be getting stronger at the same time.

"Today's been fun."

Once they were done they all headed back as they spent the rest of the day there.
