Hearing Felli's agreement Althea shivered in joy slightly as she pushed Felli away.
"For now rest, I'll give you two weeks until I'll come back again. Make good use of that time while you have it."
Without waiting for a reply from Felli, Althea closed off their dream as Felli went back to sleep. Floating in lone space Althea looked around Felli's old house. "Zelfin and Felli...." Both of them were important pieces in her plan, especially Zelfin. If she could manipulate him a little more he could be a very useful tool in fighting Xilo. Her only problem was making sure he didn't actually kill Xilo. "That spirit he's keeping is also a problem." That old spirit was currently sleeping so now was the perfect time for her to get to work. Zelfin would be the obstacle and Felli would be the bait.
"I know you're coming for her Xilo, Will you save her though? Doubtful. You have until Zelfin is fully recovered to make your move which should be a month. While he's trying to help her I'll make some moves of my own. The other Althea right now has been obsessed with that Yilel girl lately, along with some other things...I'll just manipulate someone and tell her about it subtly. This Country is going to ruin, I think it's time I play around more and speed it up. Otherwise that Queen will take forever, hopefully she doesn't mind too much. I'll be using her plan for my own sake.
Playing with her fingers she spoke out loud as a pair of footsteps approached her. Listening to the soft sound of gentle steps Althea completely ignored them as they entered her room. Looking up from her hands she saw an old man looking down at her with a soft smile. There wasn't any friendliness behind that smile though. "So, you've come once more." Standing before her was the reason why she could never quite get Felli to join her side every night. An annoying old man with powers that could stop her unless she killed him
"That's a nasty little plot you're making. Think it'll work though?"
"I have no idea, If it fails though, I'll just start over. Plenty of people I can manipulate."
"Hmmm, you're definitely right about that, Your power over dreams is quite terrifying even for me. Along with that stubborn attitude you're bound to eventually get it to work. Seriously, you're one terrifying woman."
"Thank you, I'm glad you can appreciate my greatness."
Taking out a sword the old man pointed the blade straight between her eyes as space quaked around them.
"I guess I really do need to step in."
"An after image of a lingering soul that refused to leave his precious Granddaughter behind really thinks he can stop me?"
Hearing that the old man's face visibly swayed as pain replaced that friendly smile. He was just a lost soul that broke off from the main body. A regret that was left behind in this world, that was happy to just simply watch over her. If he fought now, he wouldn't win. The most he could do was buy her a little bit more time. In return though he would disappear forever. "For Felli...and my daughter." Steeling himself he made his choice as his resolve hardened. Even if it was just a couple minutes he was willing to fight and die for that.
"No, I don't think I can stop you honestly, this is your domain and I'm just a visitor. I know I'll be defeated but...I'll still try. I didn't value my time when I was alive so why start now when I'm dead?"
"A pity, you could have just kept quiet and I would have left you alone. Very well, enough talk, let's see what the greatest space user in the world is capable of."
Blinking for a second the scenery changed from an old run down house to an open field. Althea had already created distance between them as she stared at the old man from far away. In this world he looked like a young man though as his long black hair flowed in the wind. He had lost all the wrinkles and age, replaced by youth and a subtle handsomeness that was hidden behind by anger. Overall he was above average but his smile could pierce the hearts of many. Without it though, he was just a regular person. Grabbing a sword of her own from space she aimed it at the man.
Looking at the woman who was threatening to destroy the life of his family Lazen gripped his sword tightly as space bent to his will. When he was alive he made too many mistakes to count. It wasn't until he met his best friend that his life turned around a little bit. Moving space around him he teleported straight into Althea's face as he slashed his old rusty sword while forcing her to stay still. When it came to melee attacks he was at a massive disadvantage. That was why he used Space to help him land attacks. Unmoving, Althea watched the blade come towards her while staying calm, Forcing her body to move even with the added weight she coated herself in Astral Energy as she blocked.
*Cshhh*
Feeling the weight of his sword get blocked Lazen quickly teleported to her side and went straight for her hip. With a downward slash he tried to catch her off guard with his speed. Without hesitation Althea stayed in place as she blocked his sword strike once more. She didn't stop there though. Pushing her sword forward she imbued it with a bit of her energy as she slashed straight at his face. Ripping up the ground beneath her like an earthquake her sword found his face as she cut him slightly before he flew back at an incredible speed. Manipulating the dream she changed the area they were fighting in as a mountain spawned behind him breaking his movement. Shorting the distance between them like space she appeared in front of him as she broke the binds around her and stabbed his stomach.
"You're quite good at running."
Feeling him appear a couple meters away Althea turned around to face Lazen. Changing the space once more around them she threw them into an arena that was surrounded with solid walls. Big open areas were too dangerous for her. Feeling a small cut bleed a little on her arm she focused again as she looked at the man. "It won't happen again." Feeling his own breathing turn heavy, hundreds of ideas flew through his head trying to think about how to defeat her. "Let's go with that one." Orbs floated around his entire body full of powerful energy, Sending them flying forward,he waited for the results. Blocking one of them Althea manipulated her sword the best she could as she cut space in half. Her lack of skill was still there though, letting some through they dropped to the ground and exploded in her face.
Seeing his attack succeed He pulled Althea forward as he manipulated space. Grabbing at her neck he tried to get a hold of her as the ground beneath him cracked into pieces. Falling slightly he missed as he grabbed her arm instead. Keeping himself standing, he swung her around before the smoke cleared up. Spinning her slightly he cut at her hand, trying to slice it off. Without Althea fighting back his attack connected but he could only cause a scratch to appear. "Really!?" Her aura alone blocked the attack leaving him slightly speechless.
"So strong..."
"This isn't much, but I'm happy you approve of my strength. You're not too bad yourself, it's a shame you're just a fragment or maybe this would have been a challenge."
Hearing her voice the dust cleared away as he felt his arm get gripped back. "Fuck." Looking up at Althea she was perfectly fine after taking his attack head on. Nothing had changed now except her eyes were glowing. "What?" Her eyes shined a brighter red by the second as a small blade was extended from her skin. Wide eyed he had heard about this power before. "Why does she have this!" piercing his skin Althea smiled at the surprise he showed. Even like this she could still manage to make someone like him show surprise.
"This is just a dream, you know? Here I can have any power I want, you shouldn't be too surprised. It was a fun little fight but I'm afraid it's over now."
Blades extended from body like crazy as a cage formed around Lazen piercing him. Blood spilled from every inch of his body as he struggled to stay conscious. From the very beginning Althea had won the fight. She just felt like having some fun for a bit and filling the boredom she felt. "Now it's time to end it." Feeling his vision blur and get filled with blood, Lazen looked up at the smiling devil in front of him. "I knew I couldn't win." Ignoring the agony his body was going through he pushed his body deeper into the blades as he moved forward. He refused to die for nothing, She might be able to take his attacks but an explosion of energy was another story.
"You're right...it is over. I've got a lot of regrets left in this life, I'm sure everyone is disappointed in me, Hell both times I've died now are pathetic really. Best space user in the world? I'm just a faker that got lucky...If it wasn't for Eli...."
"...?"
"You might have beat me, but the rest of the people alive aren't to be underestimated."
Inching closer the energy inside of him went crazy as he tightened his grip.
"What are you doing!"
"The right thing for once."
Unable to escape, Althea tried to manipulate her body but she couldn't escape. Panic filled her thoughts as she watched him explode himself. "This Idiot!!!!!!!" Without any more time she felt an explosion hit her face hard that was she unable to block while being knocked back. Hitting the ground hard, Althea coughed a few times as her body ached in pain. Sitting up a bit she looked at the place where she just was. "Nothing...." Even the blades she had created had been blown to pieces along with Lazen's soul fragment. Sighing she held her head as she tried to deal with the pain before healing herself.
"Happy now? all you did was make another mistake."
