Bringing herself back to the old familiar building from before, Althea healed herself. Scowling at the burn marks that covered her body she quickly got rid of them. "You could have just kept quiet." Instead the idiot blew himself up in order to stop her. "Well it worked...just not well." At most that Soul Fragment bought them a couple days worth of time. Her energy had depleted more than she had expected along with the damage. She may have looked alright on the outside now but her insides were in a rougher shape.
"Well this is an annoyance....a life of regret, far from the only one. Oh well, I can still start but it'll go a little slower then I would have liked. You bought time, even if it was a mistake. Good job old man."
Putting her head on her knees she let time pass as she waited for the next night to invade dreams. Floating in solitude she started inching her plan forward while Xilo took another step forward as well. With all that hunting he had been doing along with everything else he finally hit the next stage. "The Cosmos Stage or in other words the Fifth." Sitting in his room alone Xilo advanced his energy. The girls were out in the courtyard discussing stuff and giving him his space. Going to the next stage was always best if you were alone, less room for errors that way.
"Just a little more."
He could feel the border of it inching closer by the second. He almost thought about using some stored meat he had left over but after tossing the idea around for a minute he decided against it. He wanted to cross the border with his own strength. There wasn't any other reason besides a small sense of pride and accomplishment that he chose this method. Letting his energy flow through his body like crazy, Xilo tried to push through it a bit impatiently. Like waves crashing onto a beach, he surged them forward harder as the barrier slowly cracked open.
Spending the next few hours like that Xilo eventually turned a small crack into an opening as his energy crazily flew through it. With nothing else to hold it back anymore his energy expanded like crazy as he stepped into the Cosmos Stage. Exhaling with satisfaction, Xilo let his energy calm down as he got off his bed. Stretching his body he felt around for any noticable differences. "No Ability..." A little disheartened by that knowledge he tried to push it into the back of his mind as he headed to the courtyard. Now that he was done he wanted to talk with the girls about some stuff.
"Maybe show off a little bit too."
He knew that for most this stage was nothing but hearing a little praise was still nice. Making his way down the steps he noticed someone talking to the owner of the Inn but didn't pay it much mind as he went to the back. Opening a door he was met with a small little flower garden and a couple of women chatting together. Smiling, he walked over to them as they all greeted him. Making room for him, they sat down as they checked out Xilo's improvements. Chatting about things, they let time pass as Xilo's body adjusted to the changes. After about a half an hour though Xilo heard a set of footsteps approaching them.
Normally that wouldn't bother him since this was a public place for anyone however they came straight for them directly. Hoping it wasn't trouble, he looked up to see the man he saw talking to the inn owner in front of him. A little confused, Xilo stopped chatting with the girls as he heard the man say hello. Other than the time a few minutes back Xilo had never seen this man in his life. Being approached by strangers was quite rare for them. "Well unless they want to cause trouble." It had happened a couple times now but usually most were deterred by Xelfia's presence. Raising an eye he wondered if this man was one of those types.
"Hello, I presume you are Xilo, and those are Xelfia, Tearia and Relia?"
"We are, why do you know our names though? I've never seen you before."
With a slight bow from the man, Xilo let him talk since he didn't seem hostile yet.
"I was sent by the Dracal Hall with a message from Telan."
"I don't want to hear it, just leave."
Hearing Telan mentioned, Xilo's mood instantly turned a little aggressive. He still hadn't returned there yet and while he was putting it off, he just didn't want to return there just yet. This man didn't back down so easily though. Hearing Xilo's refusal the man flinched but he still tried again. He knew this message was important so he had to make sure that Xilo's group came with him. Steeling himself under Xilo's stare the man spoke up once more. He had to remind himself that Telan was a lot more scary than Xilo.
"Please, just hear me out. It's an emergency and Telan personally requested you come immediately."
Bowing he tried to get his point across in hopes that it would work.
"What kind of emergency?"
"I'm not allowed to say here, I'm sorry."
Looking the man up and down, Xilo sighed as he gave up.
"Fine, We'll come. I was meaning to pay him a visit again anyway."
Standing up from the bench he felt Xelfia's voice in his ear.
"Are you sure?"
"Yeah, If they really need me, I can't just ignore it nor can I run from there forever. Might as well do it now."
"If that's what you want."
Hearing Xilo agree the man stood up straight as he smiled in joy, he thought for sure Xilo wouldn't come especially after the big deal Telan made about it.
"Thank you, please follow me."
