"It was that monster you were trying to kill before, the one who injured you."
"Huh? No, that's just an Astral Beast, is this the name you decided to give that beast type or something? Kind of a weird name for an Astral Beast but if that's what you want to name it, go crazy. I did say you could choose the name after all. Though if that's all you wanted from me, I'd really like to go back and rest now. Unless there's something else?"
Feeling a little flustered at the way Zelfin was handling this conversation, Felli felt a bit lost. "These aren't the actions of someone insane." She usually had a decent eye for people but talking to Zelfin right now she felt like he was normal. He was speaking calmly, while slightly slow to feign injury and there was no anger or other emotions besides some slight impatience that she could tell. If anything she felt like she was the one being insane at the moment. "I should just take the out he's given me and himself." She knew he was lying however furthering this felt pointless especially when she had other things to talk about.
"We both know you're lying, ahhh, so be it. then let's talk about your goals. I'm sure you came here with some kinda purpose. My mother probably ignored it and just used you for furthering your plan however what do you want Mr. Future Teller? Surely you can predict what I'll say if you tell me nothing."
Looking down at the girl in front of him, Zelfin was getting more irritated with her questions. After the first day here everyone left him alone in peace and quiet. "Even that dumb Queen." Now her daughter was snooping around him trying to pester him. For such a quiet girl off memory she was quite snoopy all of a sudden. "What changed?" His thoughts instantly went to her bringing up the name Xilo. "How'd she learn that name?" He was currently on the other side of the Country dealing with the poison they had been spreading. "Did someone tell her or do they know each other....actually." He remembered she had been missing for a few days as his eyes turned sharp. This Family had the power of Teleportation, There was a massive chance she could have disappeared off to the Monster's side while she was gone.
"So that's what it is."
Mumbling that under his breath he answered Felli's question.
"My goal is quite simple, who doesn't want a little fame and money. If I help the Queen out I'm sure she'll reward me quite well."
"Pft, someone with the power to tell the future, can surely dream bigger than that. There's plenty of other Royal Families in this world that can reward you a lot better."
Playing it cool, Zelfin stayed completely calm on the outside as he spoke, while making sure to add some emotion when he should.
"You're not wrong, however those ones also have less of a need for someone like me or they'll get too greedy to keep me. So I chose the Family closest to home that would also give me what I want the most. I also wanted territory for my old Clan to move to and the power to help them thrive, with the time and power I have this place was easily my best choice. Don't you agree?"
"..."
Falling silent, Felli was stuck in a rough spot. "It's a reasonable answer, dammit." It was also something that many could relate to and want for people they care about. In a sense it was a very good answer and she could feel the emotion in his voice. "I hate this." She went into this without a plan and now she was paying the price for it. She thought he would have broken already but he kept his cool perfectly. "Ha..I suppose I have one more thing I can try." She wanted to avoid bringing this up if possible but she didn't have a choice now. She was going to make a complete enemy out of Zelfin.
"Is that all Felli?"
With a slightly psychotic smile Zelfin tried to escape after hearing no reply.
"No."
"Hmmm?"
Barely hearing Felli, Zelfin asked her to repeat herself.
"I said no, there's one more thing I wanted to ask about. Then I'll leave you alone."
"Thank you, I really do need to rest now."
"How's that old spirit in your head, you call master doin-"
*Bam*
Slamming against the wall, Felli felt her back crack in places she didn't think possible as she struggled to breathe properly. Feeling a hand gripping her neck tightly she looked up at Zelfin and smiled with glee. She had finally got the result she had wanted. "He snapped." Ignoring the pain Felli laughed out loud as her body struggled to gather air. She didn't care though she just kept laughing as she looked at Zelfin's face bulging in anger. It looked like he was going to pop any second and begin to overheat. Sadly, If Zelfin thought he was the only insane person around here then his prediction abilities truly sucked. She was way more insane then him, just a lot better at hiding it.
"Oh, did that finally make you snap? Took you a lot longer than I thought it would. It looks like you weren't taught to keep a level head at all times."
"How do you know about the Old Man?"
"If you're referring to the spirit you call your master then let's just say a Demon told me about it."
"A demon?"
"Yes, Now let go of me."
Feeling Astral Energy rise throughout her body, Zelfin knew she was getting ready for a fight. Holding his grip on her neck he debated whether or not he wanted to fight her for a second. Once that second ended, he gripped her neck tighter as he pushed his limits. If she wanted to fight he was more then happy to oblige. Backing down was not something he did, even against a Queen's Daughter.
"If you want to fight then so be it."
