Walking out of the Fiery Clan, Felli was quite happy with the results. They had quickly chatted together before agreeing to the terms they had set. Once that was done Keltal handed her a device to contact him if she needed and walked away. "He seemed a lot nicer this time." She figured he was just in a good mood though so she left it alone. Since everything went smoothly, it was now time for her to return. If Zelfin hadn't recovered by now then she was fine with barging into his room and confronting him. Even if it came down to a fight, she wasn't afraid.
"He seemed a bit less sick too, hopefully he gets better."
Reminded by the coughs from behind her from the guards, Felli walked down the hill and into the town.
"I should probably leave the town first."
There wasn't any real reason for her leave but she wanted to enjoy the walk. For the next little while she was positive she would be stuck at home so it was best she could walk around while free. "Besides, it never hurts to be careful." Hiding her face like always with her hair she looked around the town one last time. "It's so empty." She could feel presence here and there but most of them were faint. She hadn't really been paying attention to it much before but since her chat with Althea she felt weird, on edge. "If this country is her first test, what is it?" A good chunk of the houses she passed by were void of people.
"Haaa..thanks Althea, now I can stress out while I'm awake instead."
Finally out of the town, Felli stepped behind a tree as she held a familiar crystal in her hand. Crushing it she disappeared from this place completely. She no longer needed to be here, instead she reappeared in a building that was dusty and run down. Feeling the air turn stale, Felli knew she was home as she opened the door. "Not injured this time at least." Making her way inside she headed straight for Zelfin's room. There was no point in delaying, she didn't have time for that. Brushing past her Mother's throne room she didn't care about it, one thing was on her mind.
"How will I approach this? Who knows."
For once she didn't have a set plan in mind, she was going to let it play out naturally. Eventually stumbling across his door, Felli felt her body freeze up slightly. Raising her arm up she knocked on the door as her heart rate sped up. "First my mother, now Zelfin." It was one problem after another. Pausing before she knocked on the door a thought fell into her mind. "Why am I doing this?" She wanted to know what Zelfin was up to for her own sake but a small part of her doubted that. A small part of her also didn't want Xilo or Tearia to get hurt. She had abandoned them and thrown them away. Left them alone to themselves and yet a part of her couldn't shake those memories.
In truth it wasn't just Althea keeping her up at nights. It was the thought of betraying her friends as well. All for her Mother, that never did anything for her. "What exactly are you planning Mother?"" Feeling a chill run up her spine she finished knocking on the door stopping her thoughts. Hearing a reply from the other side Felli panicked. She could hear Zelfin but it was the same excuse as always. Ignoring his voice telling her to go away, Felli shouted back at him to open up. In this castle she was largely ignored by everyone but this time she wouldn't allow it. Not when her mother's safety was on the line and her own.
"Zelfin, I don't care how injured you are. I want to talk now! I'm not leaving until you open this door, besides I know you're fine now anyway. No point in hiding it."
"Leave."
"If you want to continue playing pretend I can always get my Mother.
Bringing her mother into it, she didn't really have another choice. Silence followed after that as Felli stood at the door waiting. Within a minute she heard some light movement before the door opened and revealed an "injured" Zelfin. Staring down at the girl who was disturbing him, Zelfin felt a spike of irritation. "How does she know I'm fine?" Letting that question float by, he crossed his arms and asked Felli what she wanted. She obviously came here with something in mind beyond just a friendly chat. He wasn't too big of a fan of pretending otherwise.
"I came out just like you wanted me to, what is it that you wanted to talk about? It better be important."
Looking at Zelfin, Felli felt her breathing speed up as her panic quickened. Giving his body a quick once over she knew she was right about his injury. "He's perfectly fine." Seems like Althea wasn't lying about that either. Hearing his question, Felli quickly tried to figure out how she wanted to start this. After a few seconds of thinking she decided to just be blunt. There was no point of being subtle with someone like this. If they ended up in a fight because of it then so be it.
"Why are you trying to kill Xilo?"
However completely different words from her thoughts came out of her mouth. Feeling her mind space out after that she looked at Zelfin. His eye twitched wildly as he tried to hold all of his anger in. He didn't know why she asked that question but it was best he didn't freak out right now. "He's still asleep." Taking a deep breath he felt his hand starting to crack as he played dumb.
"What do you mean? who's Xilo? I don't even know who that is."
"But you do though."
Hearing him trying to play it off Felli just rambled on, furthering the problem.
