Resting her arm under her chin, she crossed her legs as she awaited their answers with growing impatience. Lately she had been getting less sleep and had grown more irritable because of it along with some information that had made her quite upset. "People are figuring out the cure faster than I initially planned." Now she found these two fighting outside against each other. "It looks like his injury healed." Staring at them, she finally heard her daughter speak up first, Zelfin stayed quiet.
"I asked him to teach me some stuff, I figured with his ability he might be able to help, however it got a little rough. I'm sorry."
Switching to Zelfin she waited to see what he had to say.
"Uh, uhm, Yeah. She was hoping I could help with her space energy, but I ended up taking it a bit too seriously though. Even with my recent injury."
"Is that so, this the story you two are going to stick to?"
""Yes.""
Letting a few minutes pass in silence the Queen spoke up finally as the two of them felt nervous.
"Very Well then, if this is the story you two wish to stick to then you can leave Zelfin, I want to talk with you later though since you seem to be healed. Felli you can leave, I don't need you."
"Okay, just call me when you need me then. I'll be heading back to my room now."
He didn't know what she wanted but he was just happy to be away from her. Without the Old Man awake, facing the queen was a bad idea. Thankfully he felt the Spirit slowly waking up so it shouldn't be long until he woke up. If he could just stall until then he would be fine. The Queen's out gave him that perfect opportunity and he refused to waste it. Though he was a little worried Felli would say something but since she didn't yet, he doubted she had any proof to back up her claims. "I'll deal with her later." Even without proof she knew the truth, she had to be taken care of one way or another.
The Queen could feel a headache coming on as she heard them agreeing. Taking one last look into their eyes the Queen sighed lightly as she uncrossed her legs. Pointing at Zelfin she sent him back to his room. If they weren't going to admit what happened then she wasn't going to waste time on them. Watching him hesitantly stand up before walking away, she watched as her daughter stayed sitting. Once she heard the door shut they were left in silence. Debating in her head what to do, Felli spoke up with a small amount of confidence.
"He's lying to you, trying to trick you."
"Hmmm?"
"Zelfin, doesn't have any Master that can actually do something. The master is just something he made up. it's in his head."
"Do you have any evidence to back up your claim?"
"No..but shouldn't my words be enough?"
"Sadly, they aren't. Especially since I've seen his master in person and the power he held. I'm not an idiot, I know to figure these things out beforehand. I'm still suspecting him of course too but without proof, you just sound like a whiny child trying to use someone else's power to get what you want. Let's say you're right though, so far he has been of use to me and I value that. Once he outlives his use I can just kill him but that won't be until my plan is finished."
Hearing her Plan being brought up Felli looked at her mother as another question came to mind.
"What do you mean by plan, what is it you're trying to do? You've been sending people around the country like crazy and for what?"
"Hmm, I guess now that it's gotten this far into it I can tell you. I've been poisoning people. Stealing their Astral Energy and collecting it in a storage. Later when I finally get enough I plan on Destroying The Astral Zone that's been laid here. To do that though, I need an unbelievable amount of Astral Energy and so I created a way to take it from others.
"Huh, You've been poisoning our people and just to destroy a stupid Astral Zone? Why in the world would you do that, those places aren't our enemy."
"That's where you're wrong, Astral Zones are a plague on this world. Their whole reason for being is to destroy and consume. After that I can move on to the other ones until there's none left."
"And what about the people!? Taking Astral Energy away from them will kill them!"
"I don't care if a few nobody's die, hell even if the whole country has to die for it. It doesn't matter to me."
"What.....?"
Hearing her Mother talking like this Felli felt something inside of her ripping apart. It didn't snap though, not yet. A small string was trying to push it back together as she struggled to process what she was hearing. Light faded from her eyes as she looked at the woman she called her Mother. Killing off her own emotions she didn't ask any more questions. Looking at her only daughter the Queen stayed silent for a few seconds before she flipped a switch. Like always Felli would listen whenever she asked her to do something for her.
"You're going to help your mother right? You want to make me happy right?"
"...Yes."
"Good, Then I need you to do a few things for me."
Like that, time passed by as nearly a full month passed and Xilo's group finally arrived at their last location on the map.
"This looks like the last place, the City we were asked to take care of somehow."
Looking up at the entrance to the city Xilo finally felt some relief fill his body.
"Let's get going, this might be the hardest of all the places we've been."
